采用粉末套管法,通过“热轧+中间退火+进一步冷轧”工艺制备Ti/Al/Ti复合板。利用扫描电镜、电子探针、能谱仪、XRD分析以及万能实验机,研究不同制备参数下Ti/Al/Ti复合带材的界面形貌、元素分布、物相种类和界面结合强度。结果表明,单... 采用粉末套管法,通过“热轧+中间退火+进一步冷轧”工艺制备Ti/Al/Ti复合板。利用扫描电镜、电子探针、能谱仪、XRD分析以及万能实验机,研究不同制备参数下Ti/Al/Ti复合带材的界面形貌、元素分布、物相种类和界面结合强度。结果表明,单一脆性金属间化合物TiAl_(3)的产生会阻碍Ti/Al元素的扩散,扩散层厚度发生减薄。500℃退火,扩散层主要是由扩散形成的冶金结合层,局部区域有少量的金属间化合物TiAl_(3)生成,界面结合强度受冶金结合强度与机械结合强度的动态变化影响,随着压下率升高,结合强度先降低后升高再降低;550℃退火,界面反应增强,TiAl_(3)相逐渐增多,扩散层强度增加,冶金结合强度提高,由14.3 N/mm(500℃)增加至35.1 N/mm(550℃),随着压下率的增大,化合物层破碎程度增加,界面结合强度逐渐降低。 展开更多

The 2024 Al composites containing W, Ta were fabricated by powder metallurgy for their potential use as shielding material. W, Ta powders and gas-atomized 2024 Al aluminum powders were mixed by a ball mixer. The mixtures were consolidated by cold isostatic pressing (CIP) and then hot-extruded into full-density bars. The extruded bars were heat treated in T6 conditions. The microstructure and its relationship with the mechanical properties were investigated by means of scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The results show that the particles of nonuniform size and irregular shape randomly disperse in the 2024 aluminum alloy matrix. The tensile tests show that an increase of tensile strength and decrease of elongation to failure of the heat treated composites compared with the extruded composites. 展开更多

In the condition of TB=843 K, PB=16 MPa, tB= 60 min, the diffusion bonded joint, with a shear strength of 235 MPa, was obtained when a 15 μm thick interlayer was used. The mathematical models are developed to evaluate the ultimate tensile strength( UTS) and hardness of CNTs / Al2024 composites fabricated by high-energy ball milling. The effects of the preparation variables which are milling time,rotational speed,mass fraction of CNTs and ball to powder ratio on UST and hardness of CNTs / Al2024 composites are investigated. Based on the central composite design( CCD),a quadratic model is developed to correlate the fabrication variables to the UST and hardness. From the analysis of variance( ANOVA),the most influential factor on each experimental design response is identified. The optimum conditions for preparing CNTs / Al2024 composites are found as follows: 1. 53 h milling time,900 r / min rotational speed,mass fraction of CNTs 2. 87% and Ball to powder ratio 25 ∶ 1. The predicted maximum UST and hardness are 273.30 MPa and 261.36 HV,respectively. And the experimental values are 283.25 MPa and256.8 HV,respectively. It is indicated that the predicted UST and hardness after process optimization are found to agree satisfactory with the experimental values. 展开更多

除热处理工艺外,轧制工艺也是影响铸轧Ti/Al复合板工艺稳定性和界面结合强度的重要因素。通过改变铸轧复合过程中的轧制温度和轧制变形量,获得了不同的Ti/Al复合板。利用SEM、EBSD、XRD等手段对复合板的显微组织和界面结合性能进行了表... 除热处理工艺外,轧制工艺也是影响铸轧Ti/Al复合板工艺稳定性和界面结合强度的重要因素。通过改变铸轧复合过程中的轧制温度和轧制变形量,获得了不同的Ti/Al复合板。利用SEM、EBSD、XRD等手段对复合板的显微组织和界面结合性能进行了表征和测试。结果表明,在不同温度下进行50%变形量的轧制时,复合板发生不同程度翘曲。当轧制温度为470℃时,复合界面在高倍扫描电镜下为锯齿状界面;而在轧制温度为500和530℃时,复合界面为波浪状界面。随着轧制温度的升高,复合板的结合强度也有所提高。在温度一定、变形量改变的轧制过程中,当变形量小于50%时,复合板的平均结合强度随着变形量的增大而增加。当变形量为75%时,由于钛层金属太薄,且变化不平均,导致钛层出现破裂使复合板失效。综上所述,在温度为500℃,轧制变形量为50%时,复合板的平均结合强度最好。 展开更多

In this study,HEA/AI composite interlayer was used to fabricate Ti/Mg bimetal composites by solidliquid compound casting process.The Al layer was prepared on the surface of TC4 alloy by hot dipping,and the FeCoNiCr HEA layer was prepared by magnetron sputtering onto the Al layer.The influence of the HEA layer thickness and pouring temperature on interface evolution was investigated based on SEM observation and thermodynamic analysis.Results indicate that the sluggish diffusion effect of HEA can effectively inhibit the interfacial diffusion between Al and Mg,which is conducive to the formation of solid solution,especially when the thickness of HEA is 800 nm.With the increase of casting temperature from 720 ℃ to 730 ℃,740℃,and 750 ℃,α-Al(Mg),α-Al(Mg)+Al3Mg2,Al3Mg2+Al12Mg17,and Al12Mg17+δ-Mg are formed at the interface of Ti/Mg bimetal,respectively.When the thickness of the HEA layer is 800 nm and the pouring temperature is 720 ℃,the bonding strength of the Ti/Mg bimetal can reach the maximum of 93.6 MPa. 展开更多

The addition of magnesium can markedly change the morphology of Al3Ti and reduce their size. Short rod-like Al3Ti was formed and homogeneous distribution was obtained with the addition of 3 wt.% Mg. The corrosion resistance of 2024 Al and SiC particle reinforced 2024 Al metal matrix composite (SiCp?024AI MMC) in 3.5% NaCl solution was investigated with electrochemical method and immersion test, and the corrosion protection of sulfuric acid anodized coatings on both materials was evaluated by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The results showed that the SiCp?024AI MMC is more susceptible to corrosion than its matrix alloy in 3.5% NaCI. For 2024AI, the anodized coating provides excellent corrosion resistance to 3.5% NaCI. The anodized coating on the SiCp?024AI provides satisfactory corrosion protection, but it is not as effective as that for 2024AI because the structure of the anodized layer is affected by the SiC particulates. 展开更多

A novel technique for fabricating TiB_2/Al composites in molten aluminum was introduced. The formation mechanism of brittleAl,Ti particulates up to 30 m in size produced in the composites was studied and a method of eliminating them was proposed. The resultsshow that (l) the brittle Al,Ti particulates are always present in the composites when the molar ratio of Ti to B 'T,:nB is l:2; and (2) theformation of the brittle Al,Ti phase can be avoided entirely from the final product by using a proper 'T,:nB of l:4 in the Ti-B-Al preforms.In the former case, the tensile elongation of the composite is only 4%, much lower than the value of pure aluminum (20%). In the latercase, the tensile elongation of this composite is 10%, higher than the value of the composite with a lot ofAl,Ti (4%), whereas the ultimatetensile stfength of the former is nearly that of the later. 展开更多

In situ Al2O3 whiskers reinforced Ti-Al intermetallic composites were fabricated at ~1200℃ by reaction sintering of cold-consolidated fillets consisting mainly of Ti, Al, and different additives. The phases and microstructures of the sintered composites were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) coupled with energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). The process of synthesis was investigated using differential thermal analysis (DTA). The effects of processing parameters and additives on the microstructures of the composites and the development of whisker were examined. It is found that the morphology of the whisker is strongly influenced by the additives, the exothermal reaction process, and the processing parameters. 展开更多

Al matrix composites with a high volume fraction of reinforcements were fabricated with a compact of Al-Ti-B4C powder mixtures by quick spontaneous infiltration(QSI) process in an aluminum melt. Given the exothermal nature of the reaction between CuO and Al, a certain amount of CuO addition to the Al-Ti-B4C system dramatically increases the adiabatic temperature and thereby enables the complete combustion reaction in an aluminum melt(about 1,173 K). After the QSI process, the compact fabricated with CuO retains its original shape and the obtained composite exhibits sound microstructure containing reaction products of TiB2, Al3BC and B4C. The formation of such reinforcements when adding CuO contributes to enhancing the properties of the composites that show far superior hardness and elastic modulus of 3.03 GPa and 158.9 GPa, respectively, with lower coefficient of thermal expansion(9.44 ppm?K-1) compared to those with no CuO addition. 展开更多

Ti-6Al-4V是目前应用最广泛的钛合金,但其铸态强塑性不足。本研究设计思想基于Ti-6Al-4V合金双团簇成分式α-{[Al-Ti_(12)](AlTi_(2))}_(12)+β-{[Al-Ti_(14)](V_(2)Ti)}_(5):首先通过改变β相团簇式个数为2,使合金成分偏向α-Ti,其次... Ti-6Al-4V是目前应用最广泛的钛合金,但其铸态强塑性不足。本研究设计思想基于Ti-6Al-4V合金双团簇成分式α-{[Al-Ti_(12)](AlTi_(2))}_(12)+β-{[Al-Ti_(14)](V_(2)Ti)}_(5):首先通过改变β相团簇式个数为2,使合金成分偏向α-Ti,其次增加β相团簇式中V原子个数至3,提高了β-Ti结构单元稳定性,然后用不同个数Zr(x=1、2、3、5)替代β相团簇式中Ti,最后得到了团簇式α-{[Al-Ti_(12)](AlTi_(2))}_(15)-β-{[AlTi_(14-x)Zr_(x)]V_(3)}_(2),设计了Ti-(6.64~6.82)Al-(2.42~2.35)V-(1.44~7.02)Zr(质量分数/%)合金,采用非自耗真空电弧炉熔炼制备合金铸锭,并用真空铜模吸铸成合金棒材,进而对不同合金样品进行显微组织表征和拉伸测试。结果表明:合金均由α'相马氏体组成,其形貌由针状魏氏逐渐转为网篮组织,其中Ti-6.64Al-2.35V-7.02Zr(Zr含量最高)合金为网篮组织,具有最佳的力学性能,屈服强度σ_(YS)为806 MPa,抗拉强度σ_(UTS)为963 MPa,伸长率δ为5.9%,相比于相同状态下Ti-6Al-4V合金,分别提高了23%、19%、51%;比强度和比硬度分别为217 kN·m/kg和0.71 GPa·cm^(3)/g,相比于Ti-6Al-4V合金分别提高了18%和10%。 展开更多
