研究了冷轧变形量对Ti-3Al-2.5V钛合金管拉伸性能的影响。用光学显微镜观察不同变形量的钛合金管显微组织,并用拉伸试验机对拉伸性能进行测试。结果表明,随着变形量的增加,钛合金管长条状组织和晶体择优取向越来越明显。冷轧形变量从30... 研究了冷轧变形量对Ti-3Al-2.5V钛合金管拉伸性能的影响。用光学显微镜观察不同变形量的钛合金管显微组织,并用拉伸试验机对拉伸性能进行测试。结果表明,随着变形量的增加,钛合金管长条状组织和晶体择优取向越来越明显。冷轧形变量从30%提高到70%,拉伸强度略有提高,但应变显著降低。750℃是钛管的再结晶温度,微观结构将完全恢复到平衡状态,实验测得的再结晶温度与计算值相符。研究结果对高性能Ti-3Al-2.5V钛合金管的发展和生产过程的稳定十分重要。 展开更多

Stitch welding of plate covered skeleton structure of Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloys has a variety of applications in aerospace vehicle manufacture. The laser stitch welding of Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloys was carried out by a 4 kW ROFIN fiber laser. Influences of laser welding parameters on the macroscopic geometry, porosity, microstructure and mechanical properties of the stitch welded seams were investigated by digital microscope, optical microscope, scanning electron microscope and universal tensile testing machine. The results showed that the three-pipe nozzle with gas flow rate larger than 5 L/min could avoid oxidization, presenting better shielding effect in comparison with the single-pipe nozzle. Porosity formation could be suppressed with the gap between plate and skeleton less than 0.1 mm, while the existing porosity can be reduced with remelting. The maximum shear strength of stitch welding joint with minimal porosity was obtained by employing laser power of 1700 W, welding speed of 1.5 m/min and defocusing distance of +8 ram. 展开更多

The effect of strain rate and deformation temperature on theα→βphase transformation in 47Zr-45Ti-5Al-3V alloy with an initial widmanstattenαstructure was investigated.At the deformation temperature of 550°C,the volume fraction ofαphase decreased with increasing strain rate.At 600 and 650°C,the volume fraction ofαphase firstly increased to a maximum value with increasing strain rate from 1×10-3 to 1×10-2 s-1,and then decreased.At 700°C,the microstructure consisted of singleβphase.At a given strain rate,the volume fraction ofαphase decreased with increasing deformation temperature.With decreasing strain rate and increasing deformation temperature,the volume fraction and size of globularαphase increased.At 650°C and 1×10-3 s-1,the lamellarαphase was fully globularized.The variation in the volume fraction and morphology ofαphase with strain rate and deformation temperature significantly affected the hardness of 47Zr-45Ti-5Al-3V alloy. 展开更多

The microstrueture and various hydrides precipitated in Ti-6A1-4V alloys containing hydrogen 0.16,0.58,0.87,1.49 wt-%,respectively,have been studied by means of TEM and X-ray diffraction.The Ti_3Al phase may precipitate when H over 0.58 wt-%.In the same time,the morphology of hydrides gradually changed from rugged sheets to narrow laths as H contents increased.The microstructure of highly H-doped alloys is obviously fine.A mas- sive hydride and the hydride with tetragonal lattice were observed in the specimen containing 1.49 wt-%H.The twin hydrides were found in the alloys with different H contents and the electron diffraction patterns of the twin hydrides can be served as a simple criterion for distin- guishing the cubic and tetragonal structures. 展开更多

各向异性是钛合金管的一种重要性能,宏观上通常用收缩应变比(CSR)进行描述,而在微观上则可以通过织构演变分析其变化规律。通过EBSD方法研究了Ti-3Al-2.5V管轴向拉伸过程中的织构演变,揭示了CSR与织构演变的内在联系。结果表明,随着轴... 各向异性是钛合金管的一种重要性能,宏观上通常用收缩应变比(CSR)进行描述,而在微观上则可以通过织构演变分析其变化规律。通过EBSD方法研究了Ti-3Al-2.5V管轴向拉伸过程中的织构演变,揭示了CSR与织构演变的内在联系。结果表明,随着轴向塑性应变的增加,钛合金管α相晶体的基轴从开始变形时的沿径向分布逐渐朝着周向方向偏转,然后稳定在与径向成45°左右的位置。另外,β相在轴向拉伸过程中也表现出了明显的择优取向。正是因为织构的变化导致了CSR先迅速减小,然后缓慢减小,最后趋于稳定的变化规律。考虑到α相密排六方晶胞的基轴取向在轴向上的分量,改进了简化的CSR-f(织构量化参数)模型。与实验结果的对比表明,改进模型与实验值符合得较好。 展开更多

The relationships between the selective laser melting(SLM)processing parameters including laser power,scanning speed and hatch space,the relative density,the microstructure,and resulting mechanical properties of Ti-6Al-2Zr-1Mo-1V alloy were investigated in this work.The result shows that laser power acts a dominant role in determining the relative density in comparison with scanning speed and hatch space.The optimal SLM process window for fabricating relative density>99%samples is located in the energy density range of 34.72 J·mm^(-3)to 52.08 J·mm^(-3),where the laser power range is between 125 W and 175 W.An upward trend is found in the micro-hardness as the energy density is increased.The optimum SLM processing parameters of Ti-6Al-2Zr-1Mo-1V alloy are:laser power of 150 W,scanning speed of 1,600 mm·s^(-1),hatch space of 0.08 mm,and layer thickness of 0.03 mm.The highest ultimate tensile strength,yield strength,and ductility under the optimum processing parameter are achieved,which are 1,205 MPa,1,099 MPa,and 8%,respectively.The results of this study can be used to guide SLM production Ti-6Al-2Zr-1Mo-1V alloy parts. 展开更多

The temperature and stress profiles of porous cubic Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloy grids by additive manufacturing via electron beam melting(EBM)based on finite element(FE)method were investigated.Three-dimensional FE models were developed to simulate the single-layer and five-layer girds under annular and lateral scanning.The results showed that the molten pool temperature in five-layer girds was higher than that in single-layer grids owing to the larger mass and higher heat capacity.More energies accumulated by the longer scanning time for annular path than lateral path led to the higher temperature and steeper temperature gradient.The thermal stress drastically fluctuated during EBM process and the residual stress decreased with the increase of powder layer where the largest stress appeared at the first layer along the build direction.The stress under lateral scanning was slightly larger but relatively more homogeneous distribution than those under annular scanning.The stress distribution showed anisotropy and the maximum Von Mises stress occurred around the central node.The stress profiles were explained by the temperature fields and grids structure. 展开更多

Titanium alloys are composed ofαandβphases and are classified as nearα,dual-phaseα+β,andβtypes.This study attempts to derive their general composition formulas within the cluster-plus-glue-atom model by interpreting Ti-6A1-4V and other popular dual-phaseα+βTi alloy s with well-established chemical compositions.Our model identifiedαmolecule-like structural unit that covers onlyαnearest-neighbor cluster along withαfew next-neighbor glue atoms,which can be represented as"[cluster](glue atoms)x".The structural units of theαandβphases in Ti-6Al-4V,α-[Al-Ti_(12)](AlTi_(2)),andβ-[Al-Ti_(14)](V2Ti),were derived first and were in an unusual unit ratio of about 2.33:1.To obtain an alloy composition formula that satisfied this unit ratio,the two clusters were treated as hard spheres of different radii and packed according to the clusterplusglueatom model.Our calculations determined that the Ti-6A1-4V alloy unit is composed of 12α-[Al-Ti_(12)](AlTi_(2))and 5β-[Al-Ti_(14)](V2Ti)units(Ti-6.05A1-3.94V wt.%),with the fractional volume of theβphase being 32.5 vol.%,which is in agreement with experimental data.Finally,we describe how the chemical formulas of theαand p phases explain the high temperature near-a alloys(such as Ti-1100,[Al-(Ti_(0.97)Zr_(0.03))_(12)](Al_(0.67)Si_(0.12)Sn_(0.18)Mo_(0.03))_(1.01)Ti_(1.99))and high-strengthβ-Ti alloys(such as Ti-5553,[Al-Ti_(14)](Al_(0.24)Fe_(0.03)Cr_(0.20)-Mo_(0.18)V0.35)_(2.45)Ti_(0.55)),respectively. 展开更多

Surgical implant-associated bacterial infection is becoming a serious clinical problem. A series of copper-bearing titanium alloy, Ti-6Al-4V-xCu (x = 1, 3, 5 wt%), were fabricated in the present study in order to reduce the hazard of the bacterial infection problem by means of the strong antibacterial ability of Cu element. The metallography, X-ray diffraction, antibacterial ability, corrosion resistance and cytotoxicity of Ti-6Al-4V-xCu alloys were preliminarily studied with comparison to the commercial medical Ti-6Al-4V alloy. The Ti-6Al- 4V-xCu alloys showed obvious antibacterial abilities with good corrosion resistance and cytocompatibility, and the antibacterial role was enhanced with increasing Cu content, which has significant potential for clinical applications as surgical implant materials. 展开更多
