The experimental results show that three-stage phase transformation can be induced at a very low cooling rate such as cooling in furnace. The cooling rate also has a great influence on the phase transformation temperatures. Both martensitic start transformation temperature (Ms) and martensitic finish transformation temperature (Mf) decrease with the decrease of the cooling rate, and decreasing the cooling rate contributes to enhancing the M→A austenite transformation temperature. The phase transformation hysteresis (Af-Mf) increases with the decrease of the cooling rate. Heat treatment is unable to eliminate the textures formed in hot working of NiTi sample, but can weaken the intensity of them. The cooling rate has little influence on the grain size.展开更多

Then, the effects of high-pressure heat treatments on the solid-state phase transformation and the microstructures of Cu61.13Zn33.94A14.93 alloys were investigated. The results show that high-pressure heat treatments can refine the grains and can change the preferred orientation from (111) to (200) of α phase. Compared with the as-cast alloy, the sample with high-pressure heat treatment has finer grains, lower β'→β and/β→β' transformation temperature and activation energy. Furthermore, we found that high cooling rate favours the formation of fine needle-like α phase in the range of 5-20℃/min.展开更多

The experimental results show that the Sm doped alloys also undergo a thermal-elastic martensitic transformation and reverse transformation during cooling and heating process and the addition of Sm decreases the martensitic transformation temperature and Curie temperature in different degree respectively. Ni-Mn-Ga alloys of adding Sm still possess Heusler structure, but their crystal lattice parameters are modified slightly. The addition of a proper amount of Sm does not basically decrease T_c of the alloy when avoiding the appearance of second phase. In addition, the doped alloys have favorable toughness because of grain refinement of Sm.展开更多

This work presents an analysis using the theory of phase transformation. The jump of deformation gradient across the interface between two phases and the Maxwell relation are considered. Governing equations for the phase transformation are derived. The analysis is reduced to finding the minimum value of the loading at which the governing equations have a unique, real and physically acceptable solution. The equations are solved numerically and it is verified that the unique solution exists definitely. The Maxwell stress, the stresses and strains inside both austenite and martensite phases, and the transformation-front orientation angle are determined to be in reasonably good agreement with experimental observations.展开更多

The reversible displaeement of phase boundaries of these transformations is blocked by the co- herent stress field around Ti_(11)Ni_(14)phase particles.A linear relationship between S paramet- er of positron annihilation and maximum values of temperature hysteresis showed that the mismatch dislocation and elastic stress field established by Ti_(11)Ni_(14)phase precipitation are the main factor to determine the temperature hysteresis of phase transformation in NiTi shape memory alloy.
文摘The snap-action behavior of a Ni-Ti alloy disc which is controlled by combination of a nonlinear stress field and temperature has been studied. After treatment for two-way shape memory, all shape memory strain of snap-action finishes abruptly at a certain temperature within an interval of less than 1 ms.The results of resistance measurement and in-situ X-ray diffraction indicate that the snap-action strain is mainly resulted from the snap-action β (?)R transformation.
文摘Electric resistivity measurements and X-ray diffraction analysis were performed to study the isothermal phase transformation in amorphous Au-Si ribbons with eutectic composition pre- pared using melt-spinning technique.A series of phase transformations take place spontaneously at room temperature and accelerate at elevated temperatures.Four stages of the transformation from amorphous state to the equilibrium state can be distinguished.Dis- cussion on the structural character of the metastable phases indicates that Hume-Rothery electron compounds and size factor compounds could form during isothermal aging.
文摘Both furnace cooled and as-cast eutectoid Zn-Al alloys were investigated under external tensile stress at 100℃. It was observed that the external tensile stress caused decomposition of two metastable phases η'T and η'S which derived from both original state of the alloy, and a phase transformation, αf +ε→T' +η, in both furnace cooled and as-cast eutectoid Zn-Al alloys. Also spheroidized structure formed partially during tensile testing. Superplasticity of the alloy has been discussed correlating with the phase transformations and microstructural changes.

文摘The microstructure and the stability of Fe_73.5Cu_1Nb_3Si_13.5B_9 alloy at different stages of phase transformation were investigated through the observation of X-ray difraction and transmission electron microscopy and the measurement of magnetic aftereffect (MAE). It was found that the dependence of the volume fraction of amorphous phase and the MAE in the samples annealed from 450 to 700℃ on the annealing temperature is similar.

文摘Microstructure and phase transformation of Ti46Al8Nb0.5B0.2C alloy have been investigated.X-ray diffraction (XRD),optical microscopy (OM),scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) results show that as-cast and hot isostatic pressing (HIP) alloy mainly composed of γ and α 2 phase have fully lamellar microstructure with point-like or ribbon-like TiB 2 distributing in lamellar colony or at grain boundary.The mean size of lamellar colony is about 150 and 450 μm for as-cast and HIP alloy,respectively.The lamellar spacing is about 550 and 600 nm for as-cast and HIP alloy,respectively.It has been found that cooling rates and quenching temperatures have significant effect on phase transformation of Ti46Al8Nb0.5B0.2C alloy.When the alloy is treated at 1380℃ for 1 h and cooled from α domain,water cooling leads to complete α → α 2 transformation,oil cooling leads to predominant α → α 2 and part α → γ m transformation,air cooling leads to α → α + γ p2 →L(α + γ) →L(α 2 + γ) transformation,and furnace cooling leads to α → α + γ p3 →L(α + γ) →L(α 2 + γ) transformation.However,when the alloy is treated at 1400℃ for 1 h and cooled from α domain,water cooling leads to predominant α → α 2 and part α → α + γ p4 → γ m transformation,oil cooling leads to α → α + γ p5 → γ m transformation,air cooling leads to α → α + γ p6 →L(α + γ) →L(α 2 + γ) transformation,and furnace cooling leads to α → α + γ p7 →L(α + γ) →L(α 2 + γ) transformation.Microstructural evolution of the alloy during various heat treatments has been examined and the phase transformation mechanisms have been elucidated.Based on the experimental observation,schematic CCT diagrams for the alloy have been given.
