In this paper, a fixed time integral sliding mode controller is designed based on fixed time stability theory, which ensures precise convergence of the state variables of controlled system, and overcomes the drawback of convergence time growing unboundedly as the initial value increases in finite time controller. It makes the controlled system converge to the control objective within a fixed time bounded by a constant as the initial value grows, and convergence time can be changed by adjusting parameters of controllers properly. Compared with other fixed time controllers, the fixed time integral sliding mode controller proposed in this paper achieves chattering-free control, and integral expression is used to avoid singularity generated by derivation. Finally, the controller is used to stabilize four-order chaotic power system. The results demonstrate that the controller realizes the non-singular chattering-free control of chaotic oscillation in the power system and guarantees the fixed time convergence of state variables, which shows its higher superiority than other finite time controllers.展开更多

The fixed time convergence theory is incorporated with the sliding mode control technique to ensure that the system tracks the desired command within uniform bounded time under different initial conditions. Unlike previous terminal sliding mode approaches, the bound of settling time is independent of the initial state, which means performance metrics like convergence rate can be predicted beforehand. To reduce the burden of control design in terms of robustness, extended state observer(ESO) is introduced for uncertainty estimation with the output substituted into the controller as feedforward compensation. Cascade control structure is employed with the proposed control law and therein the compound control signal is obtained.Afterwards, control inputs for two kinds of actuators are allocated on the basis of their inherent characteristics. Finally, a number of simulations are carried out and demonstrate the effectiveness of the designed controller.展开更多

Based on a follower’s observation structure for the leader’s information, it is proved that the estimation errors can be converged to zero at a fixed time. From this stability and a sliding mode structure, we derive a control input of followers, which provides a critical support for fixed-time consensus. The simulation results demonstrate that this control approach does conduce to the implementation of the fixed-time synchronization.展开更多

The fixed-time and finite-time synchronization protocols are presented based on continuous controller strategies which can efficaciously eliminate chattering phenomenon existing in some previous results. Several sufficient conditions ensuring fixed-time and finite-time synchronization are derived by employing Lyapunov stability theory, linear matrix inequality (LMI) and adaptive technique. Furthermore, aimed at the model of this article, we study the problem of adaptive coupling strength in fixed-time synchronization which is rarely involved in previous results. Finally, several numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of our results.展开更多

The existence of the strong time-periodic solution is established by a new approach. First, we reformulate the system and consider some decay estimates of the linearized system.Under some smallness and symmetry assumptions on the external force, the existence of the time-periodic solution of the linearized system is then identi?ed as the ?xed point of a Poincare′ map which is obtained by the Tychonoff ?xed point theorem.Although the Tychonoff ?xed point theorem cannot directly ensure the uniqueness, but we could construct a set-valued function, the ?xed point of which is the timeperiodic solution of the original system. At last, the existence of the ?xed point is obtained by the Kakutani ?xed point theorem. In addition, the uniqueness of timeperiodic solution is also studied.展开更多

Presently, most ILC algorithms still follow the original ideas of ARIMOTO, in which the iterative-learning-rate is composed by the control error with its derivative and integral values. This kind of algorithms will result in inevitable problems such as huge computation, big storage capacity for algorithm data, and also weak robust. In order to resolve these problems, an improved iterative learning control algorithm with fixed step is proposed here which breaks the primary thought of ARIMOTO. In this algorithm, the control step is set only according to the value of the control error, which could enormously reduce the computation and storage size demanded, also improve the robust of the algorithm by not using the differential coefficient of the iterative learning error. In this paper, the convergence conditions of this proposed fixed step iterative learning algorithm is theoretically analyzed and testified. Then the algorithm is tested through simulation researches on a time-variant object with randomly set disturbance through calculation of step threshold value, algorithm robustness testing, and evaluation of the relation between convergence speed and step size. Finally the algorithm is validated on a valve-serving-cylinder system of a joint robot with time-variant parameters. Experiment results demonstrate the stability of the algorithm and also the relationship between step value and convergence rate. Both simulation and experiment testify the feasibility and validity of the new algorithm proposed here. And it is worth to noticing that this algorithm is simple but with strong robust after improvements, which provides new ideas to the research of iterative learning control algorithms.展开更多

Airgun signal propagation distances were detected using stacked seismic data to analyze the environmental impact on signal propagation distance.
