目前,亚稳β钛合金的成分朝着更高Al含量和更高β稳定元素含量的方向发展,本工作基于典型亚稳β钛合金β-21S和TB18的成分设计思路,添加了更高含量的Al元素,同时添加了Mo、Nb、V三种β稳定元素,设计并利用铜模吸铸法制备了高Al含量的亚... 目前,亚稳β钛合金的成分朝着更高Al含量和更高β稳定元素含量的方向发展,本工作基于典型亚稳β钛合金β-21S和TB18的成分设计思路,添加了更高含量的Al元素,同时添加了Mo、Nb、V三种β稳定元素,设计并利用铜模吸铸法制备了高Al含量的亚稳β型Ti-Al-(Mo,Nb,V)系列钛合金。结果表明,Ti-6.5Al-1.5V-11.5Mo-2.8Nb合金在吸铸态下的β相结构达到临界稳定状态。此时,该合金的拉伸屈服强度为623 MPa,延伸率为16.6%,其屈服强度略低于对标合金TB18,但延伸率明显高于同系列合金和TB18合金,具有最佳的综合力学性能。此外,该合金液固温区为31℃,在同系列合金中最低,且明显低于对标合金TB18的液固温区238℃。 展开更多

High-temperature titanium alloy for aeroengine compressor applications suffers from high-temperature oxidation and environmental corrosion, which prohibits long-term service of this kind alloy at temperatures above 600℃. In an attempt to tackle this problem, Ti-48Al (at. pct) and Ti-48Al-12Cr (at. pct) protective coatings were plated on the substrate of alloy Ti-60 by arc ion plating (ALP) method. Isothermal and cyclic oxidation tests were performed in static air at elevated temperatures. Phase composition, morphology of the coatings and distribution of elements were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX). The results showed that the Ti-48Al coating exhibited good isothermal oxidation resistance during exposure at 800℃, but poorer resistance against oxidation at 900℃. By contrast Ti-48Al-12Cr coating demonstrated excellent isothermal oxidation resistance at both temperatures. Cyclic oxidation tests performed at 800℃ indicated that resistance and no spallation of coatings was observed. But both coatings demonstrated good cyclic oxidation at 900℃ only Ti-48Al-12Cr coating demonstrated excellent cyclic oxidation resistance. 展开更多

The wear resistance of six kinds of the electrolytic low-titanium eutectic Al-Si piston alloys with various Ti content ranging from 0.00wt.% to 0.21wt.% has been studied. A new method of adding Ti is adopted in the electrolytic low-titanium aluminum alloy ingots. The electrolytic low-titanium eutectic Al-Si piston alloys are produced by remelting the electrolytic low-titanium aluminum alloy, crystal silicon, pure magnesium, Al-50%Cu and Al-10%Mn master alloy. The wear experiments are conducted using MM200 wear testing machine under lubricating condition. The results indicate that the better wear resistance and the less weight loss are achieved in the study for the eutectic Al-Si piston alloys with 0.08wt.%–0.12wt.% Ti content. The highest ultimate tensile strength of 135.94 MPa at 300℃ and HV141.70 hardness of the alloys are obtained at 0.12wt.% and 0.08wt.% Ti content, respectively. The wear mechanism of the eutectic Al-Si piston alloys under lubricating condition is abrasive wear. 展开更多

Samples of Ti-Al-Zr-Sn-Mo-Si-Y alloy were compressed on the Gleeble-1500 heat stimulation machine. The compression test was carried out in the temperature range from 800 ℃ to 1 100 ℃ and strain rate range from 0.001 s-1 to 10 s-1. Stress-strain behavior and variation of microstructure of the alloy during hot compression were investigated. The experimental results show that the alloy is sensitive to temperature and strain rate,and the flow softening behavior is more obvious with the decrease of deformation temperature. At higher strain rate,discontinuous yielding is observed in β phase region. When deformed in α+β phase region,with the increment of deformation temperature,the lamellar α structures globularization is more quick and more uniform. When deformed in β phase region,coarse β grains can be got because of high deformation temperature. 展开更多

The high-throughput diffusion-multiple technique and thermodynamics databases were used to design new high-strength Ti alloys. The composition–microstructure–property relationships of the Ti64–xMo alloys were obtained. The phase fraction and composition of the α and β phases of the Ti64–xMo alloys were calculated using the Thermo-Calc software. After aging at 600℃, the Ti64–6 Mo alloy precipitated ultrafine α phases. This phenomenon was explained on the basis of the pseudo-spinodal mechanism by calculating the Gibbs energy curves of the α and β phases of the Ti64–xMo alloys at 600℃. Bulk forged Ti64–6 Mo alloy exhibited high strength and moderate plasticity after α/β-phase-field solution treatment plus aging. The tensile properties of the alloy were determined by the size and morphology of the primary and secondary α phases and by the β grain size. 展开更多

The results show that the harmful needle-like phase Al4C3 is completely eliminated in the weld of SiCp/Al metal matrix composite(MMC) by in-situ weld-alloying/plasma arc welding with titanium as the alloying element. The wetting property between reinforced phase and Al matrix is improved, a stable weld puddle is gotten and a novel composite-material welded joint reinforced by TiN, AlN and TiC is produced. Ti-6Al-4V是目前应用最广泛的钛合金,但其铸态强塑性不足。本研究设计思想基于Ti-6Al-4V合金双团簇成分式α-{[Al-Ti_(12)](AlTi_(2))}_(12)+β-{[Al-Ti_(14)](V_(2)Ti)}_(5):首先通过改变β相团簇式个数为2,使合金成分偏向α-Ti,其次增加β相团簇式中V原子个数至3,提高了β-Ti结构单元稳定性,然后用不同个数Zr(x=1、2、3、5)替代β相团簇式中Ti,最后得到了团簇式α-{[Al-Ti_(12)](AlTi_(2))}_(15)-β-{[AlTi_(14-x)Zr_(x)]V_(3)}_(2),设计了Ti-(6.64~6.82)Al-(2.42~2.35)V-(1.44~7.02)Zr(质量分数/%)合金,采用非自耗真空电弧炉熔炼制备合金铸锭,并用真空铜模吸铸成合金棒材,进而对不同合金样品进行显微组织表征和拉伸测试。结果表明:合金均由α'相马氏体组成,其形貌由针状魏氏逐渐转为网篮组织,其中Ti-6.64Al-2.35V-7.02Zr(Zr含量最高)合金为网篮组织,具有最佳的力学性能,屈服强度σ_(YS)为806 MPa,抗拉强度σ_(UTS)为963 MPa,伸长率δ为5.9%,相比于相同状态下Ti-6Al-4V合金,分别提高了23%、19%、51%;比强度和比硬度分别为217 kN·m/kg和0.71 GPa·cm^(3)/g,相比于Ti-6Al-4V合金分别提高了18%和10%。 展开更多

Titanium-iron is an important raw material with high-added value.In order to ensure the quality of steel products,accurate analysis of its impurities is very important.Common analysis using the gravimetric method and spectrophotometry to determine the chemical composition is tedious,long cycle.They no longer meet the needs of they modern mass production.This paper describes the use of plasma emission spectrometry to determine the Als,Cu,Mn,P elements,in ilmeniteing the samples were treated with hydrochloric acid,nitric acid,a small amount of hydrofluoric acid.As the acidity increased,the solution viscosity increased and spectral intensity decreased.By adding sulfuric acid digestion and quantitative means of taking strict control of smoke acidity,smoke makes sulfuric acid take nitrogen oxides and fluorine away,and then add internal standard elements.After series of tests,choose instrument conditions were selected and emission intensities of various elements and internal standard elements were determined,a set of analysis were established(precision of the method RSD is less than 5%).By comparison and analysis it was found that the results were satisfactory.The method provides accurate analysis results featuring high precision and sensitivity,low blank,simple and rapid analysis.It can meet the production needs.Analytical precision of this method is equivalent to wet analysis accuracy,analysis time was reduced to 20%of the original and greatly increased the labor productivity.It was proved that using plasma emission spectroscopy to determine titanium-iron impurity element is suitable.It can replace the traditional spectral photometer test method. 展开更多

The effects of superheating temperature on the grain refining efficiency of Ti existing in electrolytic low-titanium aluminum(ELTA)without and with the Al-4B addition and the Al-5Ti-1B master alloy in pure Al were comparatively investigated. The results show that the Ti existing in ELTA without Al-4B addition exhibits a certain grain refining efficiency when the melt superheating temperature is lower,but the efficiency decreases rapidly when the superheating temperature is higher.The grain refining efficiency of the Al-5Ti-1B master alloy is better than that of the Ti existing in ELTA without Al-4B addition at any superheating temperature,but it also decreases obviously with the increase of the superheating temperature.One important reason is that the TiB2 particles coming from the Al-5Ti-1B master alloy can settle down at the bottom of the Al melt easily when the superheating temperature is increased,thus decrease the number of the potent heterogeneous nuclei retained in the Al melt.If the Al-4B master alloy is added to the ELTA melt,the grain refining efficiency of the Ti existing in ELTA can be improved significantly, and does not decrease with the increase of the superheating temperature.This perhaps provides us a possible method to suppress the effect of the superheated melt on the microstructures of aluminum.. 展开更多

Electrolytic low-titanium aluminum (ELTA) was produced by adding TiO2 powder to an industrial aluminum electrolyzer. The grain refining effect of A1-4B master alloy in the hypoeutectic Al-Si alloy prepared by using ELTA was investigated, and compared with those of Al-5Ti, A1-5Ti-1B and Al-4B master alloys in the similar alloy prepared by using pure Al. The results indicate that when Al-4B is added to the melt of the alloy prepared by using ELTA in terms of the Ti/B mass ratio of 5:1, the grain refining effect is better than those of Al-5Ti, Al-5Ti-1B and Al-4B master alloys. Thus, using Al-4B to refine the grain of Al-Si alloys prepared by using ELTA will possibly become a feasible way of obtaining Al-Si alloy with homogeneous and fine microstructure. 展开更多

Analysis of thermodynamics and kinetics of titanium between top slag and liquid steel

Titanium is an impurity element in some special steel grades. The existence of titanium decreases the grain size and lowers the yield strength ,resulting in low quality of these steels with regard to various properties. Thus, the titanium content should be reduced to the minimum. Based on the industrial production of ultra-low carbon A1-Si killed steel, this paper investigated the physical-chemical behaviors of titanium with and without desulfurization during RH refining. The influences of Ti content in hot metal, ladle slag composition, and ladle slag quantity, etc., on the Ti content in refined liquid steel were discussed. The results show that the partition ratio of titanium between ladle slag and liquid steel is inversely proportional to the AI content to the power of 4/3 ,and the empirical formula regressed from practical experience can be expressed as w(TiO2)/Wti=48/w[AI]4/3 Maximum partition ratio of titanium between top slag and liquid steel can be ensured W[Til WIAIIby an optimum slag composition including components of FeOx and A12 03 and an appropriate slag basicity. The contents of FetO and A1203 should be controlled above 6% and below 20% respectively and the slag basicity should be kept within 1.5 to 3.0. Moreover, desulfurization refining in the RH vacuum will decrease the partition ratio of titanium between ladle slag and liquid steel significantly. To keep the Ti content stably below 15 ×10 ^-4% in a 300 ton ladle ,the Ti content in hot metal must be lower than 500 × 10^-4% and the thickness of ladle slag carried over from BOF slag must be less than 50 ram. 展开更多

采用原位自生法制备了 Ti- 17Al- 1.5 B复合材料 ,并用 XRD、SEM对复合材料的相组成和微观组织进行了研究。结果表明 :该合金由 Ti3Al和 Ti B两相组成。初生 Ti B多呈较粗长的空心管状 ,共晶 Ti B呈短纤维状。根据晶体生长的固 -液界面... 采用原位自生法制备了 Ti- 17Al- 1.5 B复合材料 ,并用 XRD、SEM对复合材料的相组成和微观组织进行了研究。结果表明 :该合金由 Ti3Al和 Ti B两相组成。初生 Ti B多呈较粗长的空心管状 ,共晶 Ti B呈短纤维状。根据晶体生长的固 -液界面稳定性理论分析认为 :Ti B的 B2 7晶体结构和晶体生长过程中的棱边效应导致初生 Ti B容易生长成空心管状。这是因为 ,在初生 Ti B晶体的 [0 10 ]方向的固 -液界面生长至一临界尺寸以后 ,晶面中心处因扩散受阻 (热扩散和溶质扩散 )而存在非常大的扩散过冷使晶面中心的台阶停止生长 ,这时 Ti B优先在棱边处长大 ;另外 ,Ti B[0 10 ]方向生长速度非常快。二者的共同作用使初生 Ti B易于长成与 [0 10 ]方向一致的空心管状。而共晶Ti B则由于径向尺寸很小 (呈纤维状 ) 。 展开更多

Nb掺杂对Ti-Al合金化层抗高温氧化性能的影响 被引量:11

为提高钛合金TC4的抗高温氧化性能,采用激光表面合金化技术在钛合金表面制备不同Nb掺杂量的Ti-Al合金化层。采用X射线衍射仪(XRD)、扫描电子显微镜(SEM)、能谱仪(EDS)、箱式电阻炉等对合金化层的组织结构和高温氧化行为进行分析测试。... 为提高钛合金TC4的抗高温氧化性能,采用激光表面合金化技术在钛合金表面制备不同Nb掺杂量的Ti-Al合金化层。采用X射线衍射仪(XRD)、扫描电子显微镜(SEM)、能谱仪(EDS)、箱式电阻炉等对合金化层的组织结构和高温氧化行为进行分析测试。结果表明,合金化层主要组成物相为TiAl以及少量的Ti_3Al相。Nb主要以置换溶质原子的形式固溶于合金化层中。合金化层组织均匀,与基体呈典型的冶金结合,在不含Nb的Ti-Al合金化层中发现大量的表层裂纹及少量的贯穿性裂纹,而在Nb掺杂的合金化层中未发现明显的宏观裂纹。合金化层在800℃保温1000h的氧化增重显著低于基体,表现出优异的抗高温氧化性能。相比而言,随着Al含量和Nb掺杂量的提高,合金化层的抗高温氧化能力也随之提高。Nb掺杂提高Ti-Al合金化层抗高温氧化性能的作用机理包括减少TiO_2中的空位缺陷、细化氧化物颗粒及促进Al_2O_3的形成。 展开更多
