A general Boolean semantic modelling approach for complex and intelligent industrial systems in the framework of DES

Discrete event system(DES)models promote system engineering,including system design,verification,and assessment.The advancement in manufacturing technology has endowed us to fabricate complex industrial systems.Consequently,the adoption of advanced modeling methodologies adept at handling complexity and scalability is imperative.Moreover,industrial systems are no longer quiescent,thus the intelligent operations of the systems should be dynamically specified in the model.In this paper,the composition of the subsystem behaviors is studied to generate the complexity and scalability of the global system model,and a Boolean semantic specifying algorithm is proposed for generating dynamic intelligent operations in the model.In traditional modeling approaches,the change or addition of specifications always necessitates the complete resubmission of the system model,a resource-consuming and error-prone process.Compared with traditional approaches,our approach has three remarkable advantages:(i)an established Boolean semantic can be fitful for all kinds of systems;(ii)there is no need to resubmit the system model whenever there is a change or addition of the operations;(iii)multiple specifying tasks can be easily achieved by continuously adding a new semantic.Thus,this general modeling approach has wide potential for future complex and intelligent industrial systems. 展开更多

Accordingly, the aim of this work is to assess the current state of KIPC and its surrounding by quantifying the preliminary parameters of suspended matter (SM);to analyze the physical and chemical parameters, chemical pollution indicators for anions and major cations and organic pollution indicators of four water samples taken from four different sites in the project area by filtration and weighing, pH meter, turbid meter, titration, colorimetry and titrimetric methods. Tourism development, as a novel approach in the reuse of industrial heritage, is conducive to the settlement of issues of urban industrial heritage conservation. However, in practical terms, the development of industrial heritage as tourist resources, has encountered problems including monotonous development projects, the lack of tourism facilities, low economic efficiency, poor sustainability of project operation, etc.. This paper, based on the transformation plan of Salt Manufacturing Plant in Qingjiang County of Zhangshu, Jiangxi, proposes that a leisure-holiday tourism complex can be used as the development model of the reuse of industrial heritage at a time when the reuse of industrial heritage is advised to shift from a single mode to a compound mode. Specifically, it is suggested that industrial raw materials are developed into tourism resources to fully excavate relevant history and culture, for the purpose of achieving the coordinated economic and social growth of the reuse of industrial heritage. 展开更多

This paper examined the method to evaluate structural complexity of circular economy system's industrial chain, which applied entropy information and hierarchical metrics to produce complexity degrees according to the theory of complex system. We developed an evaluation model to make a general metrics for circular economy system of industrial chains. The development of the evaluation tree drew upon five factors to identify the structural complexity. The evaluation model generated unitive entropy information from six data definition (node, level of community, metabolic span, degree of node, number of relation and connectivity of node) according to the evaluation tree. The industrial chains of Tashan circular economy park of Datong Coal Mine Group and Gujiao circular economy park of Xishan Coal-Electricity Group were evaluated by the proposed method. The key factors stunted by the decline of structural complexity were identified and the unitive metrics of entropy information of the industrial chain was shown for realigning the circular economy systems. 展开更多

Although the maximal COD removal efficiency would reach 35.4% when 5 mL NaClO was added in 100 mL industrial dyes effluent, it is found that by using nano-Fe2O3/goldmine system, the COD removal efficiency of 13,000 mg/L dyes wastewater could reach up to 75.5% in the presence of 30 g/L nano-Fe2O3/goldmine complex and 50 mL/L NaClO at 50。C. 展开更多

In order to effectively analyse the multivariate time series data of complex process,a generic reconstruction technology based on reduction theory of rough sets was proposed,Firstly,the phase space of multivariate time series was originally reconstructed by a classical reconstruction technology.Then,the original decision-table of rough set theory was set up according to the embedding dimensions and time-delays of the original reconstruction phase space,and the rough set reduction was used to delete the redundant dimensions and irrelevant variables and to reconstruct the generic phase space,Finally,the input vectors for the prediction of multivariate time series were extracted according to generic reconstruction results to identify the parameters of prediction model.Verification results show that the developed reconstruction method leads to better generalization ability for the prediction model and it is feasible and worthwhile for application. 展开更多

Nowadays, the style of living that significantly depends on consumption of resources and over consumption patterns, tremendous increase in population, urbanization and industrialization resulted into generation of huge amounts of industrial wastes. Many environmental problems are facing industrial areas, especially in developing countries, due to poor industrial hazardous waste management. In order to reduce the effect of industrial waste on the environment and to reach sustainable development, countries have developed and reinforced several environmental protection laws and regulations. Yet, the waste disposals via incineration and/or landfilling according to cradle-to-grave concept require high capital, high running costs and are seen by industries as a barrier for further industrial development. Most importantly, disposals of waste deplete natural resources causing them to be unsustainable. Hence, various concepts and strategies have been suggested to promote industrial sustainability. The aim of this paper is to present different concepts and practices including Cradle-to-Cradle approach, Cleaner Production, Industrial Ecology, Eco-Industrial Park and Environmentally Balanced Industrial Complex described in literature that help develop a successful sustainable industrial community and reach zero pollution. These concepts are illustrated via case studies. Moreover, this paper tackles the challenges facing industrial areas in Egypt and emphasis on the imperative need for considering sustainable industrial community. 展开更多

The basic reason is that the business-related supporting data, which is scattered in the multidimensional space, is difficult to utilize and process. This paper proposes an automatic data acquisition fi-amework to resolve such difficulty, which synthetically utilize intelligent inemet of things (IoT), semantic web and complext event processing (CEP) technology. We also implement a SCEP prototype system with the capability of real-time detecting complex business events on the goods sorting line, which adopts a detection method consisting of four stages. The simulation results show that the system has good performance and feasible enough to deal with the complex business which need data support fTom multidimensional space. 展开更多

This paper explores the importance of customer-industry engagement (CIE) to peak energy demand by means of a newly developed Bayesian Network (BN) complex systems model entitled the Residential Electricity Peak Demand Model (REPDM). The REPDM is based on a multi-disciplinary perspective designed to solve the complex problem of residential peak energy demand. The model provides a way to conceptualise and understand the factors that shift and reduce consumer demand in peak times. To gain insight into the importance of customer-industry engagement in affecting residential peak demand, this research investigates intervention impacts and major influences through testing five scenarios using different levels of customer-industry engagement activities. Scenario testing of the model outlines the dependencies between the customer-industry engagement interventions and the probabilities that are estimated to govern the dependencies that influence peak demand. The output from the model shows that there can be a strong interaction between the level of CIE activities and interventions. 为进一步研究化工园区事故易因耦合效应引发事故升级等问题,首先,以化工园区储存环节为研究对象,从要素及关系2个角度构建涵盖人因层、物质层、环境层、管理层、组合层及事故层的典型事故情景要素框架体系。然后,基于拓扑理论及相关方法... 为进一步研究化工园区事故易因耦合效应引发事故升级等问题,首先,以化工园区储存环节为研究对象,从要素及关系2个角度构建涵盖人因层、物质层、环境层、管理层、组合层及事故层的典型事故情景要素框架体系。然后,基于拓扑理论及相关方法,构建化工园区典型事故情景复杂网络模型,分析复杂网络的统计特征,确定节点的网络贡献度和连接边的脆弱性,探究最大可能的致因路径,并结合事故的演化特征提出断链视角下的应急响应对策。最后,引入案例分析其最大致因路径,并提出相关事故的预防措施。研究结果表明:初期是化工园区事故控制的关键时期,加强员工培训是强化初期处置的重要手段之一,点火源是事故耦合升级的关键因素之一;本文构建的化工园区事故情景演化复杂网络模型具有较好的实用性,案例分析得到的最大致因路径与实际情况基本相符。研究结果可为化工园区的事故防控及演化控制提供一定参考。 展开更多

信息通信技术(ICT)产业是国际数字经济发展的核心产业,交互贯通的国际ICT产业贸易网络能够客观反映出ICT产业贸易的时空分异格局。本文运用复杂网络分析方法探测国际ICT产业贸易网络的基础拓扑特征及中心性特征,同时运用靴襻渗流模型讨... 信息通信技术(ICT)产业是国际数字经济发展的核心产业,交互贯通的国际ICT产业贸易网络能够客观反映出ICT产业贸易的时空分异格局。本文运用复杂网络分析方法探测国际ICT产业贸易网络的基础拓扑特征及中心性特征,同时运用靴襻渗流模型讨论ICT产业贸易的危机传播过程。研究发现,国际ICT产业整体贸易强度有所扩大,呈现出明显的区域集中化趋势,但贸易联系的整体活跃度、贸易范围和网络传输效率都明显降低;主要ICT产业贸易国(地区)整体的危机传染力高于以往,防控核心贸易国(地区)的点危机与预防核心板块的区域性联动危机相结合将是阻止危机全球蔓延的有效举措。 展开更多
