However, this two-step design strategy cannot guarantee optimal robustness for products' quality. The proposed integrated robust design method determined the optimal parameter and tolerance simultaneously by calculating the maximum tolerance region,thereby improving the quality of products. In addition,the proposed method did not need uncertainty analysis to obtain the maximum tolerance region,so that the calculation cost could be decreased. And the method avoided the difficulty of gaining costtolerance function as maximum tolerance region represented both demand of cost and robust. Finally,an amplifier circuit case was conducted for verification purpose. Based on the results, the proposed approach could provide robust solution with optimal maximum tolerance region. 展开更多

The true response function is assumed to be from a reproducing kernel Hilbert space and the errors are fitted by the qth order moving average process MA(q), especially the MA(1) errors and the MA(2) errors. In both situations, design criteria are derived in terms of the average expected quadratic loss for the least squares estimation by using a minimax method. A case is studied and the orthogonality of the criteria is proved for this special response. The robustness of the design criteria is discussed through several numerical examples. 展开更多

This paper describes the robust optimum design which combines the geometrical optimization method proposed by Hashimoto and statistical method. Recently, 2.5″ hard disk drives (HDDs) are widely used for mobile devices such as laptops, video cameras and car navigation systems. In mobile applications, high durability towards external vibrations and shocks are essentials to the bearings of HDD spindle motor. In addition, the bearing characteristics are influenced by manufacturing error because of small size of the bearings of HDD. In this paper, the geometrical optimization is carried out to maximize the bearing stiffness using sequential quadratic programming to improve vibration characteristics. Additionally, the bearing stiffness is analyzed considering dimensional tolerance of the bearing using statistical method. The dimensional tolerance is assumed to distribute according to the Gaussian distribution, and then the bearing stiffness is estimated by combining the expectation and standard deviation. As a result, in the robust optimum design, new groove geometry of bearing can be obtained in which the bearing stiffness is four times higher than the stiffness of conventional spiral groove bearing. Moreover, the bearing has lower variability compared with the result of optimum design neglecting dimensional tolerance. 展开更多

This paper presents a Six-Sigma implementation case study carried out in a magnet manufacturing compa ny, which produces bearing magnets to be used in energy meters. If the thickness of the produced bearing magnets is between 2.35 mm and 2.50 mm, they will be ac cepted by the customers. All the time the company could not produce the bearing magnets within the specified thickness range, as their process distribution was flat with 2.20 mm as lower control limit and 2.60 mm as upper control limit. This resulted in a huge loss in the form of non-conformities, loss of time and goodwill. The process capability of the company then was around 0.40. Organisat ion restructuring was carried out to reap the benefit of the People Power of the organisation. Statistically designed experiments (Taguchi Method based Design o f Experiments), Online quality control tools (Statistical Process Control To ols) were effectively used to complete the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyse, Impr ove and Control) cycle to reap the benefit of the Process Power of the organisat ion. 模块化永磁直线同步电机(MPMLSM)具有效率与推力密度高、可靠性和可加工性好等优点,非常适用于长行程运输系统;缺点是批量生产中性能易受到加工公差的影响。针对这一问题,该文提出了一种考虑制造公差的综合多目标鲁棒优化设计方法。首先... 模块化永磁直线同步电机(MPMLSM)具有效率与推力密度高、可靠性和可加工性好等优点,非常适用于长行程运输系统;缺点是批量生产中性能易受到加工公差的影响。针对这一问题,该文提出了一种考虑制造公差的综合多目标鲁棒优化设计方法。首先,基于六西格玛设计方法建立了鲁棒优化模型;其次,采用拉丁超立方采样方法在尺寸公差范围内根据正态分布规律进行抽样,模拟大规模生产时电机尺寸受公差影响可能会出现的各种变化;再次,在尺寸优化范围内均匀抽样构成足够的训练样本,由有限元软件仿真这些抽样方案的推力性能,并基于反向传播神经网络建立电机设计代理模型;然后,应用该代理模型对拉丁超立方采样得到的样本进行电机性能的计算,求解样本整体对应的各优化目标的均值与方差,进而计算多目标优化的适应度;最后,采用非支配排序遗传算法Ⅱ进行全局优化,得到鲁棒优化方案,与不考虑公差的确定性优化方案相比,验证了该方法的有效性。鲁棒优化方案虽然略微增加了电机体积和推力波动,但是其失效概率低,受公差影响小,更加符合产品批量生产过程中的质量要求。 展开更多

确定性筛选设计在Purcise Q膜纯化抗体的应用

目的:通过确定性筛选设计(DSD)方法建立单抗的Purcise Q膜阴离子交换工艺,进一步降低残留宿主细胞蛋白(HCP)含量。方法:将亲和层析洗脱过滤液作为样品,进行Purcise Q膜层析,选取上样pH、上样电导、载量、流速、峰收集条件5个因子为输入... 目的:通过确定性筛选设计(DSD)方法建立单抗的Purcise Q膜阴离子交换工艺,进一步降低残留宿主细胞蛋白(HCP)含量。方法:将亲和层析洗脱过滤液作为样品,进行Purcise Q膜层析,选取上样pH、上样电导、载量、流速、峰收集条件5个因子为输入因子,以回收率、HCP去除率、多聚体含量为输出响应值,使用确定性筛选设计DOE模型进行实验。结果:在实验参数范围内,多聚体含量没有明显的变化,HCP含量显著降低。上样电导和载量显著影响HCP去除率,而载量、流速和峰收集条件则显著影响层析回收率。利用JMP的模拟实验功能获得了稳健工艺参数组合(上样电导3 ms/cm、载量300 g/L、流速25 MV/min、峰收集50 mAU/mm),进一步利用决策树机器学习方法自动获得设计空间(上样电导3.0~3.6 ms/cm、载量300~460 g/L、流速5~25 MV/min、峰收集50~180 mAU/mm)。结论:确定性筛选设计实验方法适用于膜层析的工艺开发,能够一段式快速获得稳健工艺参数组合和设计空间,对于工艺放大、工艺转移和降低生产风险极具指导意义。 展开更多

This approach is based on a variation of all controller parametrization. This robust and fault-tolerant control design consists of two parts: a nominal performance controller and a robustness controller, and works in such a way that when a component (sensor,actuator, etc.) failure is detected, the controller structure is reconfigured by adding a robustness loop to compensate the fault. The processing capability is vital for the wide applications of materials to forge structures as-demand.Graphene-based macroscopic materials have shown excellent mechanical and functional properties.However,different from usual polymers and metals,graphene solids exhibit limited deformability and processibility for precise forming.Here,we present a precise thermoplastic forming of graphene materials by polymer intercalation from graphene oxide(GO)precursor.The intercalated polymer enables the thermoplasticity of GO solids by thermally activated motion of polymer chains.We detect a critical minimum containing of intercalated polymer that can expand the interlayer spacing exceeding 1.4 nm to activate thermoplasticity,which becomes the criteria for thermal plastic forming of GO solids.By thermoplastic forming,the flat GO-composite films are forged to Gaussian curved shapes and imprinted to have surface relief patterns with size precision down to 360 nm.The plastic-formed structures maintain the structural integration with outstanding electrical(3.07×10^(5) S m^(−1))and thermal conductivity(745.65 W m^(−1) K^(−1))after removal of polymers.The thermoplastic strategy greatly extends the forming capability of GO materials and other layered materials and promises versatile structural designs for more broad applications. 展开更多

Robust design (RD) has received much attention from researchers and practitioners for years, and a number of methodologies have been studied in the research community. The majority of existing RD models focus on the minimum variability with a zero bias. However, it is often the case that the customer may specify upper bounds on one of the two process parameters (i.e., the process mean and variance). In this situation, the existing RD models may not work efficiently in incorporating the customer’s needs. To this end, we propose two simple RD models using the ε?constraint feasible region method - one with an upper bound of process bias specified and the other with an upper bound on process variability specified. We then conduct a case study to analyze the effects of upper bounds on each of the process parameters in terms of optimal operating conditions and mean squared error. 展开更多

凸轮轴铸件成品的质量既受到多个铸造工艺参数组合的影响,又极易受到环境中噪声因素所产生误差波动的影响。基于此,田口方法中的信噪比概念与多目标决策中的TOSIS被应用于凸轮轴铸造过程工艺参数的优化中,以实现铸件质量的鲁棒性设计。... 凸轮轴铸件成品的质量既受到多个铸造工艺参数组合的影响,又极易受到环境中噪声因素所产生误差波动的影响。基于此,田口方法中的信噪比概念与多目标决策中的TOSIS被应用于凸轮轴铸造过程工艺参数的优化中,以实现铸件质量的鲁棒性设计。结合铸造过程计算机数值模拟技术,从仿真试验方案中得到了具有强抗干扰能力的最优工艺参数组合。试验结果表明:铸型温度35℃,浇注时间12 s,浇注温度1446℃的铸造工艺参数组合,使凸轮轴铸件的质量既可靠又具备鲁棒性,为实际生产中铸造工艺参数的优化方法提供了思路。 展开更多

以7075铝合金盒形件冲压成形为例,结合Monte Carlo模拟分析了冲压工艺参数(坯料温度、冲压速度、摩擦因数和压边力)的变化对盒形件减薄率和增厚率的影响,并采用Python代码进行了自动模拟。首先,设计盒型件三维尺寸并在Pam-Stamp建立了... 以7075铝合金盒形件冲压成形为例,结合Monte Carlo模拟分析了冲压工艺参数(坯料温度、冲压速度、摩擦因数和压边力)的变化对盒形件减薄率和增厚率的影响,并采用Python代码进行了自动模拟。首先,设计盒型件三维尺寸并在Pam-Stamp建立了该铝合金盒形件的有限元模型;其次,在设置好的4个工艺参数范围内随机生成100组参数并在FEM中进行自动模拟,从100次模拟结果中获得了最佳工艺参数的Pareto前沿;最后,对工艺参数变化范围中的参数进行了1000次自动模拟,并通过Monte Carlo模拟进行了结果分析。从结论可知,对工艺参数的随机变化性进行分析可以更好地预测参数偏离程度,并通过重新调整工艺参数保证产品质量,同时该方法提高了铝合金冲压工艺过程中的稳健性。 展开更多

Knowledge-based engineering(KBE) has made success in automobile and molding design industry, and it is introduced into the ship structural design in this paper. From the implementation of KBE, the deterministic design solutions for both rules design method(RDM) and interpolation design method(IDM) are generated. The corresponding finite element model is generated. Gaussian process(GP) is then employed to build the surrogate model for finite element analysis, in order to increase efficiency and maintain accuracy at the same time, and the multi-modal adaptive importance sampling method is adopted to calculate the corresponding structural reliability.An example is given to validate the proposed method. Finally, the reliabilities of the structures' strength caused by uncertainty lying in water corrosion, static and wave moments are calculated, and the ship structures are optimized to resist the water corrosion by multi-island genetic algorithm. Deterministic design results from the RDM and IDM are compared with each separate robust design result. The proposed method shows great efficiency and accuracy. 展开更多
