Especially 2D temperature and concentration distribution plays an important role for the engine efficiency. A thermocouple is intrinsically a point temperature measurement method and noncontact 2D temperature distribution cannot be attained by thermocouples. Recently, as a measurement technique with high sensitivity and high response, laser diagnostics has been developed and applied to the actual engine combustions. With these engineering developments, transient phenomena such as start-ups and load changes in engines have been gradually elucidated in various conditions. In this study, the theoretical and experimental research has been conducted in order to develop the noncontact and fast response 2D temperature and concentration distribution measurement method. The method is based on a Computed Tomography (CT) method using absorption spectra of water vapor at 1388 nm. It has been demonstrated that the method has been successfully applied to engine exhausts to measure 2D temperature distributions.展开更多

Linear iterative algorithms are commonly employed to address such problems, yielding generally poor reconstruction results due to the incapability to incorporate suitable prior conditions within the reconstruction process. Data-driven deep neural networks(DNN) have shown the potential to yield superior reconstruction results;however, they demand a substantial amount of measurement data that is challenging to acquire. To surmount this limitation, we proposed an untrained neural network(UNN) to tackle the inverse problem of LTAS. In conjunction with an early-stopping method based on running variance, UNN achieves improved reconstruction accuracy without supplementary training data. Numerical studies are conducted to explore the optimal network architecture of UNN and to assess the reliability of the early-stopping method. A comparison between UNN and superiorized ART(SUP-ART) substantiates the exceptional performance of UNN.展开更多

The simplified optical arrangement with fewer projections is realized by extension of spectral information at multiple wavelengths, resulting in great potential in applications of practical combustion diagnosis. Tile results show SAATA can perform much better reconstructions in 300 3000 K temperature range than genetic simulated annealing algorithm and least-square orthogonal-triangular decomposition method with two- wavelength scheme. More phantoms are created to demonstrate the capability of SAATA to capture the peaks and adapt for both flat and sharp temperature distributions. Meanwhile, the advantage of high stability ensures better reconstruction performance at noise levels from 0.1% to 10% in projections.展开更多
