The impurities contained in conventional mineral fuel would cause pollution, while DME is a synthetic fuel free from these impurities. The Haldor TopsФe Company will furnish two kinds of DME production techniques. One process is the dehydration technology using methanol as the feedstock, and the other is a combination route using hydrocarbon feedstock combining the methanol production with synthesis of DME. The first unit is a 180 kt/a DME unit owned by Guizhou Tianfu Chemical Limited Liability Co., and will be located in Fuquan city, Guizhou province. This coal-based petrochemical integrated unit also covers units for synthesis of methanol and ammonia with the technology also licensed by Haldor Tops0e. The raw metha- nol delivered from the new methanol unit will serve as the feedstock to the DME unit. The second unit is a 167 kt/a DME unit owned by Yunnan Riches Chemical Industry Co. The above-mentioned two DME units will provide products to the domestic fuel market and are expected to come on stream in 2009.展开更多
