Meth...Objective The current study was designed to find out the effect of Glucosidorum Tripterygii Totorum (GTT) on the serum level of soluble interleukin-2 receptor (sIL-2R) in patient with ankylosing spondylitis (AS). Method 29 patients with active AS were selected to take GTT (1mg per kg) three times a day for one year. After that, its curative effect was evaluated. The serum level of sIL-2R of these patients was measured by sandwich ELISA method and was compared with that of normal subjects. Result The serum level of sIL-2R in active AS patients was obviously higher than that of the non-active AS patients. (P<0.01). The total effective rate of GTT on AS was 89.6%, while clinical relief rate 27.6%, obvious effective rate 44.8%, effective rate 17.2% and non-effective rate 10.4%. The patients’ serum level of sIL-2R after therapy was significantly lower than that before therapy except patients with no effect. (P<0.05). Conclusion GTT has positive curative effect on active AS patients and could cause obvious decrease of the serum level of sIL-2R. The serum level of sIL-2R can be used as an important index of activity of AS and as a guide of therapy.展开更多

Results:Before transplantation, the numbers of T lymphocyte subpopulations such as CD2,CD4 in the two groupswere lower than those in the healthy group (P<0. 01) the ratio of CD4/CD8 was between 1. 2 and 2. 0.Atter transplantation the numbers of CD2, CD4 in the two groups were elevated, particulary in T Ⅱ groupthe numbers of CD2, CD4 were close to those in the healthy group (P>0. 05) . The ratio of CD4/CD8 in thecontrol group was more than 2. 0. The average dose ot insulin reduced by 84. 2% in 19 patients of the T Ⅱgroup, 2 cases stopped insulin, the peak value of C-peptide was 3. 24±1. 2 ng/ml. In the control groupthe average dose of insulin and the peak value of C-peptide was similar to that in the T Ⅱ group in the first6 months atter transplantation (P>0. 05) , then the dose ot insulin was gradually increased and the con-centration of C-peptide began decreasing. One year after transplantation both the dose of insulin and theconcentration of C-peptide were close to those before transplantation. Plasma cortisol was signiticantly elevated to normal level aftertreatment (P< 0. 001 ) . Cushing's syndrome disappeared gradually. The blood glucose in the 9 patients whowere complicated with diabetes mellitus returned to normal and their glucosuria test became negative . Thevalue of peak expiratory flow (PEF) increased to different degreesf P < 0 . 01 for male, P < 0 . 05 for female) .The increment of PEF in the patients complicated with emphysema was not so much as in those patients notcomplicated with emphysema, but compared with premedication value, the elevation of PEF was significant(P< 0. 05) . There were no side-effects during treatment and the side-effects of cortical hormone could beavoided . Thus, the treatment proved valuable.展开更多
