In this paper,an online tracking simulation system for the 660 MW ultra-supercritical circulating fluidized bed(USCFB)boiler is established, and a tracking simulation test is conducted for the cold start-up process of the boiler. The system comprises two parts:the USCFB boiler model and a tracking mechanism based on sliding mode control algorithm. The USCFB boiler model includes a water-steam system,an air-flue gas system,a material supply system, and an ash circulation system. The online tracking simulation system receives the same control signal as the plant and runs synchronously in digital space. The tracking mechanism updates model parameters to eliminate deviations between simulation values and measured values. The SMC-based multi-input,multi-output algorithm is based on a state-space model, providing two distinct advantages.Firstly,it enables more efficient elimination of deviations;secondly,it exhibits robustness against uncertainties associated with simulation model behavior and measurement noise. Finally, this paper conducts tracking simulation research on the cold start-up process of the boiler. 展开更多

FY-3C Microwave Temperature SounderⅡ(MWTS-Ⅱ)lacks observations at 23.8 GHz,31 GHz and 89 GHz,making it difficult to remove the data contaminated by precipitation in assimilation. In this paper,a fast forward operator based on the Community Radiative Transfer Model(CRTM)was used to analyze the relationship between the observation minus background simulation(O-B)and the cloud fractions in different MWTS-Ⅱchannels.In addition, based on the community Gridpoint Statistical Interpolation(GSI)system, the radiation brightness temperature of the MWTS-Ⅱwas assimilated in the regional Numerical Weather Prediction(NWP)model. In the process of assimilation,Visible and Infrared Radiometer(VIRR)cloud detection products were matched to MWTS-Ⅱpixels for precipitation detection. For typhoon No.18 in 2014,impact tests of MWTS-Ⅱdata assimilation was carried out.The results show that, though the bias observation minus analysis(O-A)of assimilated data can be reduced by quality control only with|O-B|<3 K;however, the O-A becomes much smaller while the precipitation detection is performed with Fvirr<0.9(VIRR cloud fraction threshold of 0.9).Besides,the change of the environmental field around the typhoon is more conducive to make the simulated track closer to the observation. The 72-hour typhoon track simulation error also shows that, after the precipitation detection, the error of simulated typhoon track is significantly reduced, which reflects the validity of a precipitation detection method based on a double criterion of|O-B|<3 K and Fvirr<0.9. 展开更多

A new Monte Carlo simulation of the track structure of low-energy electrons (〈10keV) in liquid water is presented. The feature of the simulation is taken into consideration of the condensed-phase effect of liquid water on electron elastic scattering with the use of the Champion model, while the dielectric response formalism incorporating the optical-data model developed by Emfietzoglou et al. is applied for calculating the electron inelastic scattering. The spatial distributions of energy deposition and inelastic scattering events of low-energy electrons with different primary energies in liquid water are calculated and compared with other theoretical evaluations. The present work shows that the condensed-phase effect of liquid water on electron elastic scattering may be of the influence on the fraction of absorbed energy and distribution of inelastic scattering events at lower primary energies, which also indicate potential effects on the DNA damage induced by low-energy electrons. 展开更多

Existing classical shaped charges are well known for their longer jets capable of achieving large hole depth to hole diameter ratios in metallic targets. However, in some situations, there arises demand to obtain 1:1 ratio for hole depth to hole diameter which is beyond normal shaped charges capability. A new variant of shape charge, named W typed shape charge (WSC), is proposed in this paper, which can meet the demand of 1:1 ratio, and is based on the geometry that can produce annular jets upon proper initiation scheme. In this paper, we present formation and penetration results of WSC based on three different schemes. We also show that not all WSC designs can form annular jets, only annularly initiated WSC, which also fulfils the "Internal-External Liners Equal-Impulse" criterion, has the capability to form annular jet. The experimental and numerical results show that when the ratio between annular initiation ring diameter and the charge diameter is 0.75, an annular jet is formed, which was also supported by high speed photographs performed in vacuum. 2D numerical simulations are performed with indigenously developed simulation software, where Eulerian approach with multi-material interface tracking algorithm is utilized, to find various mechanisms involved during jet formation process. The calculation results are found in good agreement with the experimental results, indicating that the interface treatment algorithm proposed in this paper can not only deal with large deformation problem, but also depict clearly the variation of materials interface. It is especially suitable for simulation of the process from liner collapse to formation of shaped charge jet. 展开更多

Axisymmetric bogus vortexes at sea level are usually used in the traditional bogus data assimilation (BDA) scheme. In the traditional scheme, the vortex could not accurately describe the specific characteristics of a typhoon, and the evolving real typhoon is forced to unreasonably adapt to this changeless vortex. For this reason, an asymmetrical typhoon bogus method with information blended from the analysis and the observation is put forward in this paper, in which the impact of the Subtropical High is also taken into consideration. With the fifth-generation Penn State/NCAR Mesoscale Model (MM5) and its adjoint model, a four-dimensional variational data assimilation (4D-Var) technique is employed to build a dynamic asymmetrical BDA scheme to assimilate different asymmetrical bogus vortexes at different time. The track and intensity of six surmner typhoons much influenced by the Subtropical High are simulated and the results are compared. It is shown that the improvement in track simulation in the new scheme is more significant than that in the traditional scheme. Moreover, the periods for which the track cannot be simulated well by the traditional scheme can be improved with the new scheme. The results also reveal that although the simulated typhoon intensity in the new scheme is generally weaker than that in the traditional scheme, this trend enables the new scheme to simulate, in the later period, closer-to-observation intensity than the traditional scheme. However, despite the fact that the observed intensity has been largely weakened, the simulated intensity at later periods of the BDA schemes is still very intensive, resulting in overly development of the typhoon during the simulation. The limitation to the simulation effect of the BDA scheme due to this condition needs to be further studied. 展开更多

The cavitation model is implemented in a viscous Navier-Stokes solver. The cavity interface and shape are determined using an iterative procedure matching the cavity surface to a constant pressure boundary. The pressure distribution, as well as its gradient on the wall, is taken into account in updating the cavity shape iteratively. Numerical computations are performed for the sheet cavitating flows at a range of cavitation numbers across the hemispheric headform/cylinder body with different grid numbers. The influence of the relaxation factor in the cavity shape updating scheme for the algorithm accuracy and reliability is conducted through comparison with other two cavity shape updating numerical schemes. The results obtained are reasonable and the iterative procedure of cavity shape updating is quite stable, which demonstrate the superiority of the proposed cavitation model and algorithms. 展开更多
