Methods: 145 patients diagnosed as CSNRT were randomized into 3 groups: combined treatment group, EA group, and cervical traction (CT) group. The combined group was treated with traction followed by EA of Dazhui (大椎 GV 14), Fengchi (风池 GB 20), cervical Jiaji (夹脊 EX-B 2), etc.. Patients of two control groups were only treated by either CT or EA. Results: The markedly-effective rate and total effective rate were 76.0% and 94.0% respectively in the combined treatment group, 62.5% and 81.25% respectively in CT group, and 63.82% and 82.97% respectively in EA group. The therapeutic effect of the combined treatment group was significantly superior to that of two control groups (P<0.05). At 6-month follow-up, the above two markedly-effective and total effective rates in the combined treatment group remained 74.0% and 92.0%, still significantly higher than that in two control groups. Conclusion: Combining cervicle traction with EA treatment can effectively eliminate or relieve the symptoms and signs in patients with nerve root type cervical spondylopathy.展开更多

An anatomically correct human skeleton model and two mechanical traction device models were constructed in simulations using a physics engine. The anterior and posterior intervertebral separations were measured at both positions with a series of traction forces (60N to 200N) and traction angles (10°? to 40°?). The result suggested that the sitting position caused the subject to lean forward and as a result led to excessive anterior compression when traction angle is over 20 degrees. The inclined position creates greater intervertebral separations on both the anterior and posterior sides than the sitting position. This suggests that the inclined position may be more effective in increasing intervertebral separation than the sitting position.展开更多

METHODS: A total of 84 patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy treated in 105 Hospital of People's Liberation Army from June 2014 to June 2017 were included and divided into study group and control group according to different treatment regimens. A total of 42 patients in the study group was treated with cervical traction, ultrashort wave and massage therapy at the same time, whereas the other 42 patients in the control group were only treated with cervical traction and ultrashort wave. Comparison of the clinical efficacy and adverse reactions of the 2 groups was made and the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) scores before and after treatment were observed to assess the patient's pain. Comparison of rehabilitation in the 2 groups was made by applying the Clinical Assessment Scale for Cervical Spondylosis (CASCS). RESULTS: After comparing the therapeutic effect between the study group and the control group, it showed that the total effective rate (90.48%) in the study group was significantly higher than that in the control group (73.81%), the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). By comparing the incidence of adverse reactions in the study group and the control group, results showed that the incidence of adverse reactions such as nausea, palpitations, vomiting, sweating, dizziness and colorless complexion in the study group (9.52%) was significantly lower than that in the control group (21.43%), the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). After the treatment, the VAS pain scores of the study group and the control group were both significantly improved (P < 0.05), but the improvement of the patients in the study group was more significantly (P < 0.05), and the difference was statistically significant. After treatment, the CASCS scores of the patients in the study group and the control group were significantly improved (P < 0.05), but the improvement of the study group was more (P < 0.05), and there was statistically significant difference. CONCLUSION: The combination of massage, traction and ultrashort wave therapy can significantly reduce the pain and reduce the incidence of adverse reactions in patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy, which is of great clinical significance to the rehabilitation of patients.展开更多

Traction force was applied to sculls of five patients with cervical fracture-dislocations. A difference in friction interface between the patient’s head and shoulder girdle was created. The traction weight required for the reduction of the vertebral dislocation was significantly lower than an expected minimal traction weight in the commonly used techniques (p = 0.013). The presented method permits an effective and safe reduction of dislocated cervical vertebra by a relatively low traction force.展开更多

The subjects were tested on two mechanical traction devices, representing the inclined and sitting positions. A total of 55 radiographic images of their cervical spines were taken before and during traction. The result showed statistically significant intervertebral space changes in the inclined position but the changes in the sitting position were not statistically significant. The observed changes of the cervical spine were used to adjust parameters of the traction therapy model, which contains a human model with cervical spine built with springs and dampers and two traction devices in inclined and sitting positions. A series of traction forces and traction angles were applied to the model to simulate the actual parameters used in the experiment and the new model was used to evaluate the two traction positions. The result suggested that inclined position creates greater intervertebral separations on the posterior sides. Differences in separations due to age were not observed in both positions. The result also suggested that the inclined position provides better control in positioning the separations at different spinal segments than the sitting position.展开更多

Amplitudes of N 9, N 11 , N 13 , N 20 and intervals of N 9-N 13 , N 13 -N 20 and N 9-N 20 of SEP were used as indexes. After 3 courses of treatment, the clinical therapeutic effect of EA group was significantly superior to that of control group (P<0.01); the amplitudes of the aforementioned components of SEP in both groups increased apparently while the interpeak latency shortened in different degrees. In EA group, the increased values of various components of SEP amplitude, except for N 9, were all larger than those of control group (P<0.05 for N 11 , P<0.01 for N 13 and N 20 ); the values of shortened latency of different components, except for N 13 -N 20 , were all larger than those of control group (P<0.01 for N 9-N 13 and N 9-N 20 ). 文摘This study describes the development of a cervical traction therapy simulation model that evaluates two types of the traction positions, namely the sitting position and the inclined position. This suggests that the inclined position may be more effective in increasing intervertebral separation than the sitting position.

文摘The authors have treated 172 cases of cervical spondylopathy with acupuncture basedon the differentiation of symptoms and signs.Of 172 cases,58(33.2%)were cured,60(35.0%)were markedly improved, and 48(27.9%)were improved. The total effective rate was 96.1%.Acupuncture treatment is more effective for cervical spondylopathy with little change in bone sub-stance,but less effective in cases with severe bone proliferation. And its eminant effect is an algesia,no significant change is found in X-ray examination before and after treatment.
文摘This article involves 325 patients suffering from cervical spondylopathy, amongthem 205 cases were treated by acupuncture and moxibustion on the governor vessel of the neck(treatment group),the other 120 cases were treated by common acupuncture(control group).Itwas observed that the cure rate, the total effective rate was 91.2%,98.5% in the treatmentgroup, and 55.8%,87.5% in the control group. There were statistically significant differences(P【0.01)in the cure rate and total effective rate between the two groups. It is concluded thatacupuncture and moxibustion on the governor vessel of the neck may improve Yang Qi circulationwithin the Dumai and promote the micro-circulation in the diseased areas. Thus it evidently in-creases the therapeutic effects.
文摘Beating-acupuncture therapy is developed by Li Xutang, Director of the Section of TCM in the Jingdezhen Municipal First Hospital. Amng the 100 cases in the beating-acupuncture group, 85 cases were cured and 11 cases improved, the cure rate was 85 %; Of the 50 cases in the filiform needle acupuncture group, 25 cases were cured and 23 improved, the cure rate was 50 %. There was a statis-tically significant difference(P<0.01 ) between the two grdrips. It is indicated that the curative effect of beating-acupuncture on cervical spondylopathy is obviously superior to that of fili form-needle acupuncture, which provides a new therapy without traumatic pain for clinical treatment of cervical spondylopathy,
