Universities are highly responsible for knowledge creation and technology development. However, university technology transfer(UTT)is considered a challenge in bringing innovative technologies for commercialization and community services. Thus, identifying the barriers and their complex interrelationships that hinder the successful implementation of UTT provides a better understanding of the process, which may be considered as inputs to crucial decision-making initiatives. While this approach is highly relevant in the domain field,it remains a point of departure in the current literature. This paper addresses this gap by holistically determining the UTT barriers and their intertwined relationships.Using the Delphi method and the fuzzy decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory(DEMATEL)to carry out this objective,a case study in a state university in the Philippines is presented in this work. Results show that lack of resources has the strongest causal relationship among the 24 UTT barriers.Whereas, poor marketing/technical/negotiation skills of technology transfer office obtained the highest impacts received and is categorized as the main net effect. These findings are intended to guide various stakeholders in understanding the influence of barriers in the formulation of strategies and initiatives to carry out effectively the UTT process. 展开更多

It is of great significance to study the indicators of university patents’transferability for improving the efficiency of the University Technology Transfer Office and promoting university patent transfer.Based on the in-depth analysis of the existing research, this paper finds that patent quality is the inherent decisive factor of patent transferability.Combining with the evaluation indexes of patent quality and the bibliometrics characteristics of university patents,9 indicators are proposed to indicate the transferability of university patents.Based on the patent transfer data of 35 Chinese universities, this paper analyzes and verifies the potential indicators of patent transfer using the binary logistic regression method. The results show that the number of inventors and the number of non-patent document citations positively predict the transferability of university patents, while the examination duration negatively predicts transferability. The effects of other indicators on transferability need to be discussed considering the actual situation and specific technology fields. 展开更多

The dynamic coupling effects on fusion cross sections for reactions^(32)S + ^(94,96)Zr and ^(40)Ca + ^(94,96)Zr are studied with the universal fusion function formalism and an empirical coupled channel(ECC) model. An examination of the reduced fusion functions shows that the total effect of couplings to inelastic excitations and neutron transfer channels on fusion in ^(32)S +^(94)Zr(^(40)Ca +^(94)Zr) is almost the same as that in ^(32)S +^(96)Zr(^(40)Ca +^(96)Zr). The enhancements of the fusion cross section at sub-barrier energies due to inelastic channel coupling and neutron transfer channel coupling are evaluated separately by using the ECC model. The results show that effect of couplings to inelastic excitations channels in the reactions with94 Zr as target should be similar as that in the reactions with ^(96) Zr as target. This implies that the quadrupole deformation parameters β_2of ^(94)Zr and^(96) Zr should be similar to each other. However, β_2 's predicted from the finite-range droplet model, which are used in the ECC model, are quite different. Experiments on^(48) Ca +^(94)Zr or^(36) S +^(94)Zr are suggested to solve the puzzling issue concerning β_2for^(94)Zr. 展开更多
