Research on the Digital Economy,Technological Innovation,and Transformation and Upgrading of the Manufacturing Industry in Shandong Province

Based on panel data from 16 cities in Shandong Province from 2013 to 2022,and grounded in theoretical analysis,this paper constructs a benchmark regression model,a mediating effect model,and a heterogeneity test for empirical analysis.The results show that:(1)the digital economy has a significant positive effect on promoting the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry in Shandong Province;(2)the digital economy can drive the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry through technological innovation;and(3)the impact of the digital economy on the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry in Shandong Province is evidently heterogeneous.

On the Digital Transformation of the Automobile Manufacturing Industry in the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle:Mechanism of Action and Feasible Paths

With a long industrial chain and a powerful ability to drive other industries,the automobile manufacturing industry has a prominent strategic position in the national economy.In recent years,many countries have put on their agenda the digitalization of the automobile manufacturing industry,leading to an connected,autonomous,shared,and electric(also known as CASE)①development trend in the industry.As one of the six major automobile industry clusters in China,the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle has achieved initial results in the digital transformation of the automobile manufacturing industry.However,the region is still faced with some constraints,such as insufficient digital infrastructure,relatively slow development of new automobile products,insufficient innovation ability of the automobile industry,and complex digital transformation of small and medium-sized automobile enterprises(automobile SMEs).This paper intends to construct a framework for the mechanism of action of the digital transformation in the automobile manufacturing industry,analyze the effects of the digital transformation of the automobile manufacturing industry in the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle,and propose feasible paths for the digital transformation of the automobile manufacturing industry in the region by drawing on domestic and international experience in this regard.The specific paths include:(a)Smoothing the“dual-core”data chain to facilitate the digital transformation of the automobile manufacturing industry;(b)Developing the new energy vehicle(NEV)industry to upgrade the quality of automobile products;(c)Achieving corner overtaking in the digital transformation of the automobile manufacturing industry with digital technology;(d)Jointly building the automobile industrial park to promote the digital transformation of the industry;(e)Addressing problems facing automobile SMEs in digital transformation via targeted policy tools.

Cogitation on the digital transformation of the process manufacturing industry triggered by the practices of the PIDAS

Digital transformation is the process of an industry moving to a digital business of continuous growth and improvement with digital technologies.It is an important path for the manufacturing industry to reconstruct and upgrade the existing operation mode to achieve efficiency, effectiveness, and product quality improvement.In this study, we analyze why the successful digital transformation practice is scarcely found in the core business of process manufacturing industries, such as the steel and cement industries.By introducing the development and application of the Process Intelligent Data Application System(PIDAS),which is the digital platform of heavy plates in Baosteel, the concepts, ideas, and development experience of the digital transformation of the process manufacturing are summarized.Moreover, the core issues worthy of attention are pointed out.Finally, a feasible route for the digital transformation of the process manufacturing is proposed.

Green transformation of manufacturing industry for ecological protection in Jiangsu Province

Under the new normal economy, the manufacturing industry is developing rapidly as the focus of economic development in Jiangsu. Its rapid development has brought great opportunities to our society, but at the same time, great challenges has been brought to the natural environment. The resource consumption and environmental pollution problems have become increasingly prominent. In the face of this situation, we must try every means to reduce pollution and save energy. Therefore, the transition trend of manufacturing industry in the future is bound to take the green economy as the background. Thus, this paper analyzes the drawbacks of the manufacturing industry in Jiangsu province. And the status of traditional manufacturing enterprises and advantages of green manufacturing are analyzed. Then, the paper proposed to explore the practice of green manufacturing mode for the ecological protection, so as to achieve the industrial transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry in Jiangsu province.

Employment and Wage Effects of RMB Exchange Rate for Manufacturing Sectors in China and the US

By creating a labor market dynamic general equilibrium model, this paper derives the pass-through mechanism of exchange rate's employment and wage effects,carries out an empirical study on the employment and wage effects of RMB exchange rate for manufacturing sectors in China and the United States based on ridge regression, and examines the role of industry characteristics in this process. Research findings suggest that: RMB depreciation will drive employment and wage growth for most of China's laborintensive manufacturing sectors, and RMB appreciation will increase employment for certain capital-and technology-intensive sectors; but RMB depreciation has insignificant employment and wage effects for most sectors in the US. Hence, in achieving the longterm stability of RMB exchange rate, China should take advantage of RMB appreciation's manufacturing upgrade effect and ensure the steady growth of manufacturing employment.The US should make breakthroughs in various links of its economic development in order to tackle unemployment, instead of blaming RMB exchange rate. In addition, the nature of business activities and trade union characteristic are both significant factors that lead to differences in inter-sector employment levels of Chinese and US manufacturing sectors.Technology characteristic and other monopolistic characteristics exert decisive effects on the difference of wage return for various sectors in China and the US.

Accelerating the Construction of New Development Pattern and the Paths of Manufacturing Transformation and Upgrading

This paper reviews the basic implications and policy orientation of the new development pattern and the impacts of constructing the new development pattern on the manufacturing transformation and upgrading,based on which the choice of manufacturing transformation and upgrading paths is further discussed under the new development pattern.This paper holds that the paths of manufacturing transformation and upgrading need to be adjusted and expanded under the conditions of constructing the new development pattern.The main ideas are as follows.Restructuring the manufacturing industry chain with the large domestic market as the main guide,creating the good environment conducive to independent innovation,coordinating the regional layout for the overall high-quality manufacturing development,optimizing the business environment and enhancing the vitality and driving force of the manufacturing’s development,relying on the Belt and Road Initiative(BRI)for a higher level of international circulation.The theoretical bases for adjusting and expanding the paths of manufacturing transformation and upgrading are:embracing the new requirements with domestic circulation as the mainstay,the characteristics with the mutual reinforcement of domestic and international circulations,and promoting the manufacturing’s high-quality development and the medium and high-speed growth.

China＇s Industries in the Beginning of Its 12th Five-Year Plan Period

Complex international and domestic economic scenarios and the short cyclical nature of macroeconomic policies characterizes the beginning year of the 12th Five- Year Plan period, it reflects the difficult policy choices that arise among three major regulatory targets ,for growth, structure, and prices. In the transitional period of intertwined challenges, a spirit of commitment and dedication to real industries will allow China to occupy vantage points in world manufacturing and become an industrial power in the real sense. To a certain extent the beginning year of the 12th Five-Year Plan period （2011-2015）, while.fraught with challenges and pain, marks a departure from cutthroat competition to quality growth for Chinese enterprises and entrepreneurs. From 2012, China＇s industrial and market economic systems will both head towards more sophisticated stages of development. China ＂s industries will develop along environmentally sustainable, delicate, high-end, IT-based and service-oriented paths, while expediting the country＇s economic restructuring, industrial upgrade capabilities and its pursuit of innovative industrialization, and it will do so with strides more remarkable than ever before in its history.

人工智能、产品创新与制造业适应性转型

人工智能(AI)对产品开发、运营和营销等企业价值链的影响正在改变制造业转型升级的机制与路径。围绕AI如何通过影响产品创新推动制造业转型升级,本文依托相关研究成果提炼AI区别于其他数字技术的核心创新特征,剖析AI对产品创新的影响机制,并通过AI影响个体、企业、产业的跨层次分析框架,从产品创新视角提出AI影响制造业转型升级的适应性变革概念模型,探讨AI通过产品创新影响制造业适应性转型的机制与路径,形成三个主要结论:(1)新社会主体、生成性、知识积累方式突变性构成AI区别于其他数字技术的三个核心创新特征;(2)AI作为新社会主体角色介入产品企划、结构工艺等开发环节,改变或增强了人类智能的产品开发思维,拓展了产品开发的知识边界;(3)AI增强产品创新与运营过程、市场营销和销售的全价值链即时互动和调整,构建起平衡制造敏捷性与用户敏捷性冲突的自适应调节机制,推动制造业通过产业快速自适应调节涌现出自适应间断平衡的转型路径。

数字化转型、平台化变革与企业创新绩效——基于“技术—组织—创新”范式的分析

在数字经济和实体经济深度融合、全球创新竞争加剧的背景下,加快数字化转型和平台化变革,塑造多元互动和整体进化的创新生态系统,是增强制造业企业自主创新能力的重要途径。在传统技术经济范式中引入数字要素和平台理念,构建“技术—组织—创新”理论框架,分析数字化转型促进组织平台化变革进而提升企业创新绩效的作用机制。在理论分析的基础上,基于2014—2021年中国制造业上市公司的面板数据,实证检验了数字化转型、平台化变革与企业创新绩效之间的关系。研究结果表明:数字化转型对企业创新绩效的提升具有普遍的促进作用,并且对数字化水平更高和股权集中度更高的企业效果更显著;数字化转型促进了企业组织的平台化变革,基于数字平台形成创新生态系统进而增强了企业自主创新能力;数字化对企业平台化的推动作用主要通过专业化分工和企业互联互通实现,这是工业互联网平台发挥作用的两个重要维度。推动制造业企业的数字化转型和平台化变革,充分发挥数字平台的创新基础设施作用,能够提升企业创新绩效,推动制造业高质量发展。

数字经济发展促进产业结构转型升级的实证研究

从理论上来说,数字经济发展通过影响产业间结构转变、产业内劳动生产率提升和产业资源配置效率提高等方式来促进产业结构转型升级。文章以我国247个地级及以上城市2016—2019年的数据为例,采用固定效应模型分析数字经济发展对产业结构转型升级的影响。实证结果发现:数字经济发展对第一维度、第二维度和第三维度产业结构转型升级均具有显著的促进作用,子样本数据的实证结果和采取替代变量的实证结果均支持这一研究结论;在控制内生性问题后,研究结论依然成立。进一步的机制检验发现,数字经济发展主要通过消费升级效应和技术外溢效应两种途径促进产业结构转型升级。

数据要素嵌入、双元创新与制造业转型升级

数据作为全新的生产要素成为制造业转型升级的重要引擎,双元创新是助推数据要素有效嵌入实体经济的关键动力。基于双元创新视角,剖析数据要素嵌入赋能制造业转型升级的理论机制,运用2008—2020年中国A股制造业上市企业数据进行实证检验。结果显示:数据要素嵌入能够有效赋能制造业转型升级,该结论在一系列稳健性检验后依然成立;双元创新在数据要素嵌入赋能制造业转型升级中发挥着中介作用,且更多地通过探索式创新促进制造业转型升级,利用式创新的中介效应尚不显著;进一步分析发现,数据要素嵌入赋能制造业转型升级的影响效应在企业内部微观特征和外部宏观环境层面存在异质性。因此,建议应有效推进数据要素市场化配置改革,营造数据要素赋能外部环境;持续提升企业探索式创新动力,激发数据要素赋能制造业转型升级的活力;积极引导企业数字化转型,推动数据要素与传统要素的深度融合。

数字化转型对纺织业升级的影响研究

纺织业是传统产业中的支柱产业,用数字技术推动中国纺织产业升级具有重要意义。本文基于2012—2020年中国A股上市公司数据,构建纺织企业升级的指标,考察数字化转型对纺织业升级的影响。实证结果表明,数字化转型主要通过推动企业流程升级和功能升级两种途径,显著促进纺织业升级。本文采用工具变量法弱化由于遗漏变量等因素导致的内生性问题,通过替换变量和滞后变量法进行稳健性检验,得到一致的检验结果。机制检验表明,数字化转型主要通过营运效应、市场效应和成本效应促进纺织产业升级。本文的研究结果为促进企业数字化转型、推动纺织业升级和通过数字化转型促进纺织业产业升级提供了政策启示。

场景驱动中国制造企业创新实现全球价值链攀升路径——双重价值链差异性嵌入视角

“双循环”新发展格局下,中国制造业在产业组织形态上既嵌入国内价值链充分依托广袤市场的多元化禀赋,同时又嵌入全球价值链参与国际分工实现动态转型升级,但关于场景驱动制造企业创新的探讨还相对少见。为此,选取中国制造业实现全球价值链攀升的微观基础——制造企业为研究对象,基于场景化要素嵌入背景,以国内价值链嵌入广度和全球价值链嵌入高度为评价指标,考察在国内和全球双重价值链差异性嵌入情境下场景驱动制造企业创新实现全球价值链攀升的路径。从知识创新与扩散、产业集聚与升级、市场拓展与创造、生产性服务支撑4种因素间关系着手,通过对4个典型案例的分析发现,场景驱动制造企业创新实现全球价值链攀升有4条路径:链主企业通过创造需求场景实现全球价值链高位势嵌入;链主企业通过破坏创新场景实现全球价值链颠覆性嵌入;“专精特新”企业通过迭代升级场景实现全球价值链动态化嵌入;“专精特新”企业通过跨界经营场景实现全球价值链错位性嵌入。据此,提出中国制造企业应依据自身在国内和全球双重价值链网络的嵌入广度和高度设计合理的场景驱动创新方式,推进链主企业所属制造业圈层体系根植共生,同时政府及相关管理机构应当更为深入推进产业链、价值链、供应链的数字化建设。

数字经济对制造业技术创新绩效的影响

选取2010—2021年省级数字经济指数以及沪深A股制造业上市企业数据,实证检验数字经济与制造业技术创新绩效的关系。研究发现:数字经济能显著提高制造业技术创新绩效,且该结论在经过增加控制变量、缩尾处理等一系列检验后依然稳健;数字经济能通过产业结构升级,间接提升制造业技术创新绩效。异质性检验结果显示,在地区发展方面,数字经济对东部地区、一线城市内制造业企业技术创新绩效的促进作用更强;在企业性质方面,数字经济对成熟期、国有、高密度人力资本型、资本密集型制造业技术创新绩效的促进作用更大。据此,提出加强数字经济基础建设、推进制造业产业结构数字化升级、实施差异化数字经济发展策略的建议,以充分发挥数字经济的促进效应,提升制造业技术创新绩效。

数字经济、技术进步与制造业转型升级

制造业水平是一个国家综合实力和国际竞争力的重要标志,技术进步提供了制造业转型升级的动力和基础。而数字经济作为推动技术进步和企业变革的重要力量,为传统制造业注入新的增长动力。基于2010—2020年我国省级面板数据,运用固定效应模型和门槛效应模型实证研究数字经济背景下技术进步对我国制造业转型升级的作用机制,并探究数字经济在此过程中发挥的调节效应。研究结果显示:(1)数字经济时代下,技术进步对制造业转型升级依旧具有很强的驱动效应;(2)在技术进步对制造业转型升级的作用过程中,数字经济可以有效发挥正向调节作用;(3)技术进步驱动制造业转型升级存在显著的数字经济门槛效应。

能源消费、金融支持对制造业绿色创新的驱动效应研究

当前世界能源发展面临着供需结构不协调、环境资源开发利用率低等不稳定因素,围绕制造业高质量发展的能源消费及技术升级需要,金融部门积极创新,加大金融服务供给,驱动制造业绿色低碳创新,助力制造业绿色低碳高质量发展。鉴于此,构建2010-2019年中国制造业行业面板数据,通过建立固定效应计量模型及引入随机前沿分析方法,实证检验能源消费水平、金融支持力度和二者的交互作用对制造业绿色创新影响的驱动效应。实证结果表明:能源消费水平对制造业绿色创新呈负向作用,而提升金融支持力度有助于制造业绿色发展;能源消费水平和金融支持力度可经过交互作用形成对制造业绿色创新的促进作用;在“双碳”目标背景之下,消费升级和产业升级均加快了制造业绿色变革步伐;此外,外商投资和政府有效干预也一定程度上促进了制造业绿色转型。为此,提出如下对策与建议:首先,制造业要转变传统生产思想,认真贯彻执行绿色创新理念,深度融入绿色发展格局;其次,鼓励银行业等金融机构继续加大对制造业绿色融资支持力度,并不断完善风险识别及管控措施;最后,政府应正确发挥宏观调控的作用,提高决策质量、降低决策失误。

智能化转型、组织韧性与制造业企业高质量发展

新时期制造业企业高质量发展是推动制造强国建设的重要战略环节。智能化技术与制造业的深度融合,将成为制造业企业转型升级、创新发展的历史机遇。以2012—2022沪深A股制造业企业为样本,从制造业企业智能化转型出发,探讨其对企业组织韧性和企业高质量发展的影响机制,在对三者进行量化测算的基础上进行固定效应、中介效应、异质性等实证检验。研究发现:智能化转型能够显著提升制造业企业组织韧性,并带动企业全要素生产率的提升,实现制造业企业高质量发展。经实证检验,该结论稳健。同时,智能化转型对组织韧性的提升存在地区市场化程度、企业生命周期、资本密集度、股权性质的异质性。基于此,本文从宏观层面出发,提出了政府加强顶层设计,为制造业企业的数智化转型提供配套支持及企业发挥主体作用,积极推进全过程全生命周期的智能化转型的共性建议,从中观层面出发,提出了企业可通过建立稳健的财务策略,识别并规避各种风险、优化生产流程,提高生产效率,加强供应链条稳健性建设和企业文化建设等措施提升组织韧性,以应对环境不确定性日益加剧的风险。并从微观层面建议不同性质的制造业企业应依据不同特点合理审慎做出智能化转型的战略选择,以优化资源配置效率,提高市场竞争力、加大在智能化技术和设备方面的投入,赋能价值链共生共赢,支撑企业实现韧性增长。为制造业智能化转型推动产业韧性水平、实现制造业高质量发展提供理论和现实借鉴。
