BACKGROUND The stent embedded in the esophageal mucosa is one of the complications after stenting for esophageal stricture.We present a case of stent adjustment with the aid of a transparent cap after endoscopic injec...BACKGROUND The stent embedded in the esophageal mucosa is one of the complications after stenting for esophageal stricture.We present a case of stent adjustment with the aid of a transparent cap after endoscopic injection of an esophageal varices stent.CASE SUMMARY A 61-year-old male patient came to the hospital with discomfort of the chest after the stent implanted for the stenosis because of endoscopic injection of esophageal varices.The gastroscopy was performed,and the stent embedded into the esophageal mucosa.At first,we pulled the recycling line for shrinking the stent,however,the mucosa could not be removed from the stent.Then a forceps was performed to remove the mucosa in the stent,nevertheless,the bleeding form the mucosa was obvious.And then,we used a transparent cap to scrape the mucosa along the stent,and the mucosa were removed successfully without bleeding.CONCLUSION A transparent cap helps gastroscopy to remove the mucosa embedded in the stent after endoscopic injection of the esophageal varices stent.展开更多
Objective:To explore the clinical efect of domestic capsosol foam sclerotherapy in the treatment of hemorrhoids under transparent cap assisted endoscope.Methods:According to the experimental requirements,120 cases of ...Objective:To explore the clinical efect of domestic capsosol foam sclerotherapy in the treatment of hemorrhoids under transparent cap assisted endoscope.Methods:According to the experimental requirements,120 cases of hemorrhoids hospitalized in gastroenterology department in our hospital from February to December in 2019 were selected as the treatment group.The foam sclerotherapy of polidocanol and the air in accordance with the 1:4 ratio was injected into varicose hemorrhoids and hemorrhoids through a transparent cap assisted endoscope.At the same time,100 patients were selected as the control group and the patients were treated according to the routine protocol.The symptom score and climical eficacy of the two groups were observed under different treatment schemes.Results:120 patients were sucessfuly injected with foam sclerotherapy under endoscope.There were significant differences in climical symptom score and climical efficacy between the injection sclerotherapy goup and the control group.There were statistically significant differences in the bleeding,prolapse,painful defecation,anal foreign body sensation,impact on daily work,and hemonhoids data between the treatment group and the contol group(P-0.05).Conclusion:Transparent cap assisted endoscopic injection of polidocanol sclerotherapy in the treatment of hemorhoids can effectively improve the clinical symptoms of patients,promote the improvement of the disease,and the curative effect is satisfactory.It is a new method of minimally invasive treatment of hemorrhoids,which is worthy of wide promotion in clinical practice.展开更多
BACKGROUND Acute appendicitis is the most common abdominal emergency.At present,the main treatments for periappendiceal abscess include antibiotics and surgery.However,the complications and mortality of emergency surg...BACKGROUND Acute appendicitis is the most common abdominal emergency.At present,the main treatments for periappendiceal abscess include antibiotics and surgery.However,the complications and mortality of emergency surgery are high.The preferred therapy is conservative treatment with antibiotics first,ultrasound-guided puncture drainage or surgical treatment is followed when necessary.Endoscopic retrograde appendicitis therapy(ERAT)for acute uncomplicated appendicitis have been proved clinically effective,but it is rarely used in periap-pendiceal abscess.CASE SUMMARY We report a patient admitted to hospital because of“right lower abdominal pain for six days”.The computerized tomography(CT)of patient showed that appendicitis with fecaliths and abscess in the pelvis.The patient was treated by CT-guided puncture and drainage of abdominal abscess combined with ERAT to remove appendiceal fecaliths,irrigation and stent placement.CONCLUSION The patient did not receive surgery because of impoverished family.Abdominal pain did not recur during the follow-up period.This case confirms the value of ERAT in the treatment of periappendiceal abscess.展开更多
