The grassland in western Heilongiiang basically belongs to mesophytic meadow grassland with more than 103 species of grasses, while Leymus chinensis meadow grassland and L. chinensis herbage steppe have the largest distribution. L. chinensis, ArundineUa hirta ( Thunb. ) C. Tanaka, Gleistogenes chinensis ( Max- im. ) Keng, Stipa baicalensis Roshev, Carex tristachya, Deyeuxia langsdorffii (Link) Kunth, Artemisia integrifolia, Carex meyeriana and Cyperus rotundus are the main dominant and subdominant species. There are about 17 common species of grasshoppers causing damage on grassland, while eight of them are dominant spe- cies. According to the characters of grassland, vegetation and the species of grasshoppers, the paper has raised the integrated control measures for grasshoppers in western Heilongjiang. 展开更多

There is limited information about the influence of slow or controlled release fertilizer(S/CRF) on rice yield and quality. In this study, japonica rice cultivar Nanjing 9108 was used to study the effects of three different S/CRFs(polymer-coated urea(PCU), sulfur-coated urea(SCU), and urea formaldehyde(UF)) and two fertilization modes(both S/CRF and common urea(CU) as basal fertilizer, S/CRF as basal and CU as tillering fertilizer) on rice yield and quality. CU only was applied separately as control(CK). Results showed that, rice grain yield, chalky kernel rate, chalky area, overall chalkiness, and the content of gliadin, glutenin, and protein, all showed the trends of UF〉PCU〉SCU within the same fertilization mode, and showed the trends of S/CRF as basal and CU as tillering fertilizer〉both S/CRF and CU as basal fertilizer within the same type of S/CRF. In contrast, the contents of amylose, amylopectin, and starch, as well as taste value, and peak and hot viscosity showed trends of SCU〉PCU〉UF, and the trends of both S/CRF and CU as basal fertilizer〉S/CRF as basal and CU as tillering fertilizer. Among S/CRF treatments and fertilization modes, taste values of cooked rice were positively correlated with amylose, amylopectin, and starch contents, as well as gel consistency, peak viscosity, hot viscosity, and cool viscosity, while negatively correlated with globulin, gliadin, glutenin, and protein contents. The types of S/CRF and fertilization modes are important for improving rice yield and quality. Compared to CK, higher yield and similar quality of rice was achieved with UF as basal and CU as tillering fertilizer, and similar yield with improved appearance and eating and cooking quality of rice was achieved with either both UF and CU as basal fertilizer, or PCU as basal and CU as tillering fertilizer. 展开更多

We report a type-Ⅱ InAs/GaSb superlattice three-color infrared detector for mid-wave (MW), long-wave (LW), and very long-wave (VLW) detections. The detector structure consists of three contacts of NIPIN architecture for MW and LW detections, and hetero-junction NIP architecture for VLW detection. It is found that the spectral crosstalks can be significantly reduced by controlling the minority carriers transport via doping beryllium in the two active regions of NIPIN section. The crosstalk detection at MW, LW, and VLW signals are achieved by selecting the bias voltages on the device. At 77K, the cutoff wavelengths of the three-color detection are 5.3μm (at OmV), 141μm (at 300mV) and 19μm (at -20mV) with the detectivities of 4.6xlO11 cm.Hzl/ZW-1, 2.3×10^10 cm.Hzl/2W-1, and 1.0×10^10cm.Hzl/2W-1 for MW, LW and VLW. The crosstalks of the MW channel, LW channel, and VLW channel are almost 0, 0.25, and 0.6, respectively. 展开更多

Type 1 diabetes mellitus is associated with celiac disease,with a prevalence that varies between 0.6% and 16.4%,according to different studies.After a diagnosis of celiac disease is confirmed by small bowel biopsy,patients are advised to commence a gluten-free diet(GFD).This dietary restriction may be particularly difficult for the child with diabetes,but in Europe(and in Italy) many food stores have targeted this section of the market with better labeling of products and more availability of specific GFD products.Treatment with a GFD in symptomatic patients has been shown to improve the symptoms,signs and complications of celiac disease.However,the effects of a GFD on diabetic control are less well established.Initial reports of improved hypoglycemic control were based on children who were diagnosed with celiac disease associated with malabsorption,but there have subsequently been reports of improvement in patients with type 1 diabetes with subclinical celiac disease.There are other studies reporting no effect,improved control and an improvement of hypoglycemic episodes.Moreover,in this review we wish to focus on low glycemic index foods,often suggested in people with type 1 diabetes,since they might reduce postprandial glycemic excursion and enhance longterm glycemic control.In contrast,GFD may be rich in high glycemic index foods that can increase the risk of obesity,insulin resistance and cardiovascular disease,worsening the metabolic control of the child with diabetes.Hence,it is important to evaluate the impact of a GFD on metabolic control,growth and nutritional status in children with type 1 diabetes. 展开更多

AIM:To evaluate the long-term effect of aerobic and/or anaerobic exercise on glycemic control in youths with type 1 diabetes.METHODS:Literature review was performed in spring and summer 2014 using Pub Med/MEDLINE,Google Scholar,Scopus,and Science Direct with the following terms:aerobic,anaerobic,high-intensity,resistance,exercise/training,combined with glycemic/metabolic control,glycated haemoglobin A1c(Hb A1c) and type 1diabetes.Only peer-reviewed articles in English were included published in the last 15 years.It was selected from 1999 to 2014.Glycemic control was measured with Hb A1 c.Studies with an intervention lasting at least 12 wk were included if the Hb A1 c was measured before and after the intervention.RESULTS:A total of nine articles were found,and they were published between the years of 2002-2011.The sample size was 401 diabetic youths(166 males and 235 females) with an age range of 10-19 years except one study,in which the age range was 13-30 years.Study participants were from Australia,Tunisia,Lithuania,Taiwan,Turkey,Brazilia,Belgium,Egypt and France.Four studies were aerobic-based,four were combined aerobic and anaerobic programs,and one compared aerobic exercise to anaerobic one.Available studies had insufficient evidence that any type of exercise or combined training would clearly improve the glycemic control in type 1 diabetic youth.Only three(two aerobic-based and one combined) studies could provide a significant positive change in glycemic control.CONCLUSION:The regular physical exercise has several other valuable physiological and health benefits that justify the inclusion of exercise in pediatric diabetes treatment and care. 展开更多

From insulin detemir to glargine: Effect on glycemic control and psychological wellbeing in patients with diabetes mellitus type 2 in daily practice 被引量:2

The success of a specific treatment is traditionally judged according to parameters such as HbA1c. However, other, patient-reported outcomes (PRO) of (insulin) therapy, become increasingly more important. The introduction of (basal) insulin-analogues could possibly improve PRO, particularly “quality of life”. Direct comparative studies between once daily insulin glargine and once to twice or twice daily insulin detemir have previously shown differences in insulin dosage, dosing frequency and weight gain. Whether this leads to a difference in quality of life in patients who are transferred from insulin detemir to insulin glargine remains to be determined. To establish the effect of insulin glargine on quality of life and patient satisfaction in patients with DM2 who are in poor metabolic control with a (human) basal insulin, a large prospective, observational study in Dutch daily practice was performed. The results of the patient population switched from NPH-insulin to insulin glargine have been published previously. In this article the results of the group of patients treated with insulin detemir before the observation period are described. The results of this observational study show that changing basal insulin therapy to insulin glargine in patients with DM2 who are in poor glycemic control with insulin detemir leads to a clinically significant improvement of glycemic control as well as emotional wellbeing, despite a small increase in weight. Whether other factors such as decreased dosing frequency play a role remains to be determined by future studies. 展开更多

This paper reviews the development of type synthesis and behavior control on legged robots; introduces the hexapod robots developed in our research group based on the proposed type synthesis method. The control framework for legged robots includes data driven layer,robot behavior layer and robot execution layer. Each layer consists several components which are explained in details. Finally,various experiments were conducted on several hexapod robots. The summarization of the type synthesis and behavior control design constructed in this paper would provide a unified platform for communications and references for future advancement for legged robots. 展开更多

Objective: Octreotide three times daily is re-ported to reduce daily insulin by 50% in patients with Type 1 DM. Therefore, we assessed the impact of long acting Octreotide (Sandostatin LAR) monthly Intramuscular administration in a subject with Type 1 DM. Methods: A 32-year-old man with Type 1 DM of 16 years participated after obtaining informed consent. He had no microvascular or macrovascular complications. He continued the present insulin regimen for four weeks. IM Sandostatin LAR 20 mg was initiated and increased at four weeks to 30 mg. He was followed every four weeks for six months. Insulin regimen was adjusted every two weeks based on blood glucose before meals, bedtime and on onset of hypoglycemic symptoms. He continued other medications, previous diet and activity Assessment of HbA1c, serum electrolytes, urea nitrogen, creatinine, TSH, free T4, liver enzymes, complete blood cell counts, vitamin B12, lipids and insulin regimen were performed at the initiation and end of the study. Results: HbA1c declined from 9 to 8% with reduction in daily insulin dose from 55 to 43 units, with a major reduction in insulin Glargine, 50 to 40 units. Body weight remained unaltered. Other laboratory tests including gallbladder examina-tion remained unchanged Conclusion: Monthly Sandostatin LAR administration may improve glycemic control with less insulin in Type 1 DM. 展开更多

The Paleogene and Neogene oil and gas in the western Qaidam basin have a regular distribution in three concentric zones from the edge to the center of the basin. Natural gas mainly occurs in the inner zone, and the gas-oil ratio of the northern area of the basin is significantly higher than that of the southern area. Large amounts of carbon isotope data of natural gas, plotted in X- shaped and comprehensive identification diagrams for the southern area and northern area, respectively, were used to identify the types of natural gas. The large-scale distribution of natural gas is highly consistent with the Ro values of major source rocks, but is poorly correlated with the type of organic matter. This indicates that the main controlling factor of natural gas distribution is organic matter maturity, and the kerogen types act as the basis for the formation of different types of natural gas. Paleouplifts and squeezed anticlines near hydrocarbon generation depression centers, which are major natural gas-rich regions, control the migration directions of natural gas, while hydrocarbon migration pathways and fault systems connecting gas sources are the most important factors for natural gas reservoir formation in the inner basin. Therefore, favorable zones for natural gas distribution can be predicted on the basis of the distribution of thermal evolution and the gas generation intensity of major source rocks as well as the structural map. The Shizigou-Youshashan- Yingdong-Dawusi, Youquanzi -Kaitemilike - Youdunzi, and Xiaoliangshan - Nanyishan - Dafengshan structural belts are favorable zones for natural gas accumulation. This study has important theoretical and practical significance for future natural gas exploration. 展开更多

In this paper, interval type-2 fuzzy sets, fuzzy comprehensive evaluation and the fuzzy control rules are synthesized to realize the control of unmanned vehicle in driving state and behavioral decisions. Compared to the type-1 fuzzy set, type-2 fuzzy sets have more advantages in handling the model based on uncertainties, linguistic information because the membership functions are fuzzy sets. Different membership functions are established for each factor when the unmanned vehicle is driving at different speed intervals. In addition, a new evaluation method is developed to analyze unmanned vehicle’s driving state. Finally, a set of dynamic fuzzy rules are sorted out, which can be applied to the unmanned vehicle’s behavioral decision-making and provide a new idea to related research. 展开更多

This research article proposes the position control of (DC) motor. The proposed algorithm of this article lies in the application of a genetic algorithm interval type-2 fuzzy logic controller (GAIT2FLC) in the design of fuzzy controller for the position control of DC Motor. The entire system has been modeled using MATLAB R11a. The performance of the proposed GAIT2FLC is compared with that of its corresponding conventional genetic algorithm type-1 FLC in terms of several performance measures such as rise time, peak overshoot, settling time, integral absolute error (IAE) and integral of time multiplied absolute error (ITAE) and in each case, the proposed scheme shows improved performance over its conventional counterpart. Extensive simulation studies are conducted to compare the response of the given system with the conventional genetic algorithm type-1 fuzzy controller to the response given with the proposed GAIT2FLC scheme. 展开更多

Objective: To report our experience of attempting a randomised controlled trial of an intensive lifestyle intervention for early type 2 diabetes delivered in a residential setting. Methods: We established a trial requiring 84 participants (46 standard care and 38 intervention) to detect a 1% difference in HbA1c between intervention and control groups at 12 months, allowing for attrition. Ethics approval was obtained from Monash University. Results: The study was abandoned after five months of consistent promotion due to recruitment failure (four subjects recruited). Conclusion: It appears to be difficult for patients with diabetes to commit to a live-in period of education regarding lifestyle modification as a means of treating the illness. We recommend better education of patients and their doctors about the potential health benefits of lifestyle change to manage type 2 diabetes, and further research into novel methods of delivering lifestyle advice which are both effective and sustainable. 展开更多

This paper mainly presents a PM multi-DOF actuator for robot in-wheels drive applications and its control method. The torque model is established based on the finite-element model of the single pair poles in 3D finite element method software. Due to the special structure of the actuator,the Euler angles are adopted for deriving the kinematics and dynamic model. To reduce the effects of uncertainties of modeling error,nonlinear friction and external disturbances in the system,an approximation of neural network adaptive control method is applied to the actuator. The computation and simulation results show that the proposed analysis and control method can effectively derive the characteristics and improve the motion performance,which provides the primary theoretical guide for the configuration design,optimization and control research of multi-DOF deflection type actuators. 展开更多
