Cluster 1 crystallizes in hexagonal, space group P-62c with a = 16.5612(3), b = 16.5612(3), c = 16.4660(5)A, Z = 2, V = 3911.13(16)A^3, Dc = 1.935 g/cm^3, μ(MoKα) = 7.269 mm^-1, F(000) = 2192, the final R = 0.0289 and wR = 0.0789 for 2425 observed reflections (I 〉 2σ(I)). Cluster 2 is isomorphous to 1 with similar crystal parameters. X-ray analysis reveals that both clusters consist of three incomplete cubane-like cluster units {MOS3Cu3S2COCH3}, which are linked together by two μ3-S atoms.展开更多

This paper compares the internal structures of the manufacturing industries in China and the U.S. from 1998 to 2005 and leads to three major discoveries: First, the gaps between China and the U.S.'s manufacturing ...This paper compares the internal structures of the manufacturing industries in China and the U.S. from 1998 to 2005 and leads to three major discoveries: First, the gaps between China and the U.S.'s manufacturing capacity have been narrowing at a high speed in the last seven years, during which the share of added value of China's manufacturing industry to that of the U.S. increased from 13% to 52%, and then reached 76% in 2007. Second, the labor force employed in China's manufacturing industry increased by 50%, of which the increase in capital and technology-intensive production sectors exceeded that in labor-intensive sectors. Meanwhile, the labor force employed in the U.S. manufacturing industry decreased. Third, labor productivity in China's manufacturing industry increased by 2.78 times, and profits increased by 2.21 times, much higher than the U.S. growth rates of 18.2% and 49.5%. Obviously, the narrowing gaps between China and the U.S.'s production capacities mean China's industrial progress and the hierarchy of world industrial powers will be rearranged.展开更多

Planck’s radiation law provides an equation for the intensity of the electromagnetic radiation from a physical body as a function of frequency and temperature. The frequency that corresponds to the maximum intensity ...Planck’s radiation law provides an equation for the intensity of the electromagnetic radiation from a physical body as a function of frequency and temperature. The frequency that corresponds to the maximum intensity is a function of temperature. At a specific temperature, for the frequencies correspond to much less than the maximum intensity, an equation was derived in the form of the Lambert <em>W</em> function. Numerical calculations validate the equation. A new form of solution for the Euler’s transcendental equation was derived in the form of the Lambert <em>W</em> function with logarithmic argument. Numerical solutions to the Euler’s equation were determined iteratively and iterative convergences were investigated. Numerical coincidences with physical constants were explored.展开更多
