Our conclusions are as follows:The two types of depressions are similar in thermodynamical and dynamical structures. The main differ ences are : in the high layer of developed depression there is a divergence field, with a center near the zero line of vertical wind shear, and over undeveloped depression, the divergence field is weaker and the vertical wind at its center is greater than 5 m s-1. The thermodynamical field of the former is asymmetrical and that of the latter is quasi - symmetrical. As far as the dynamics structure is concerned, the convergence in the lower layer and the difference of divergence between the upper and lower layers of developed depression is three tmies larger than that of undeveloped depression. The upward motion and heating field at the center of developed depression is also stronger than that of undeveloped one.The vorticity budget of the two types of depressions is mainly determined by the divergence term, the vorticity advection term and the vertical transport term. The residual term is also important. The principal contribution comes from the divergence term . This is more significant for developed depression than for undeveloped depression. 展开更多

The purpose of this study is to reveal the effects of historic climate change on rice yield over the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, China, and to better adapt to climate change in the future. This study presents the relation of temperature and precipitation and rice components from 1981 to 2003 at 48 early rice stations and 30 middle rice stations. It focuses on an analysis of three stages: flowering, pre-milk, and late milk. The results show that mean maximum temperature and mean daily precipitation at the stages of flowering and pre-milk are most related to early rice yield. Yield change of middle rice is mainly because of mean precipitation change at the flowering stage. Furthermore, percentage of undeveloped grain increases as mean maximum temperature rises at the flowering stage. Over-precipitation in the reproductive stage is a major reason for reduction in yield of early rice. Consecutive rainfall and continuous high temperature can have negative effects on middle rice yield. Global warming would affect middle rice more seriously than early rice. 展开更多

This study analyzes the status-quo of the proved oil/gas initially-in-place and its variation trend, the proved undeveloped oil/gas initially-in-place,and the remaining proved technically recoverable reserves(TRR)of oil/gas in China as of 2020 based on statistics. As shown by the results, the proved oil initially-in-place(OIIP),the proved undeveloped OIIP,and the remaining proved TRR of oil in China are mainly distributed in the Bohai Bay,Ordos and Songliao Basins, and those of free gas are mainly in the Ordos,Sichuan, and Tarim Basins. From 2011 to 2020,the largest increment in the proved OIIP,the proved undeveloped OIIP and the remaining proved TRR of oil occurred in the Ordos Basin, followed by the Bohai Bay Basin, while that in the proved gas initially-in-place(GIIP),the proved undeveloped GIIP,and the remaining proved TRR of gas occurred in the Ordos Basin, followed by the Sichuan Basin. In addition,a comprehensive analysis reveals that the petroliferous basins in China with the potential of reserve addition and production growth include the Ordos Basin, the Bohai Bay Basin, the Sichuan Basin, and the Tarim Basin. 展开更多
