Novel microcellular foams using thin plasticized PC sheet were prepared by compression molding. The measurement results showed that T of plasticized PC was decreased and the molecular chain mobility was increased. Decrease in T and increase in chains mobility were contributed to the widen of foaming temperature window. Effects of processing conditions on cell size, cell density and relative density were also investigated. The experimental results show that the temperature, tributyl citrate and foaming agent content have more effects on the structures and morphology of the plasticized PC microcellular foam. Effects of experimental conditions on cell size distribution have also been discussed. 展开更多

The relations of bulk modulus, shear modulus, Young's modulus and the Poisson's ratio with porosity of foam plastics are determined by a three phase spheroidal model commonly used in Composite Mechanics. The results are compared with those using differential scheme. It is shown that the material properties derived from the present model normally are larger than those obtained by differential scheme for foam plastics with identical porosity. The differences in shear moduli and Young's moduli obtained by the two methods are small but they are larger for bulk moduli of incompressible matrix and Poisson's ratios. The Young's moduli of high density foam plastics derived by the present model agree better with experimental ones. 展开更多

Water-blown polyurethane rigid foams are getting more and more attention,because the traditional blowing agent HCFC141b has already been abolished to prevent the ozone layer from destruction.However,the polyurethane rigid foams blown by water have serious defects,i.e.friability and resulting lower adhesion strength.Thus,the purpose of this study is to resolve the problems by chemical plastication.The maleate was added to polyol-premix containing water or to polyisocyanate,with both of which maleate does not react.To prove the reaction when polyol-premix and polyisocyanate were mixed,the model composite was synthesized and analyzed by IR,NMR and ESI(MS).Furthermore,a series of water-blown polyurethane rigid foams added different amount maleate were successfully prepared.By testing impact strength and adhesion strength of the foams,the actual effect of adding maleate was obtained. 展开更多

The compressive mechanical properties of syntactic foams reinforced by hollow plastic beads were studied by the quasi-static compression test. The failure mechanism of syntactic foams was also investigated by macroscopic and microscopic observation on the fractured specimens. The experimental results show that the density of syntactic foams is still the key factor affecting their mechanical properties. The macroscopic and microscopic observation on the fractured specimens indicates that the main failure mode is the elastic-plastic collapse caused by shear. 展开更多

为了拓宽发泡木塑复合材料(FWPC)的功能性,以沙柳木粉、高密度聚乙烯(PE-HD)为主要原料,纳米炭黑(Nano-CB)为导电填料,聚磷酸铵(APP)和硼酸锌(ZB)作为阻燃剂和抑烟成分进行复配,采用发泡工艺和模压法制备阻燃抗静电型发泡木塑复合材料... 为了拓宽发泡木塑复合材料(FWPC)的功能性,以沙柳木粉、高密度聚乙烯(PE-HD)为主要原料,纳米炭黑(Nano-CB)为导电填料,聚磷酸铵(APP)和硼酸锌(ZB)作为阻燃剂和抑烟成分进行复配,采用发泡工艺和模压法制备阻燃抗静电型发泡木塑复合材料。研究APP/ZB协效阻燃剂质量比对FWPC力学性能、阻燃抑烟性能及热稳定性能的影响。结果表明:当APP/ZB总加入量为20%,质量比为4∶1时,FWPC的各项性能相对较优,静曲强度、弹性模量、拉伸强度和冲击强度分别为30.11MPa、2636MPa、14.65MPa和3.72kJ/m^(2),氧指数达27.3%,属难燃级别;与单独加APP时相比,力学性能降低,烟释放速总量降低11.93%,CO产率峰值和平均CO产率分别降低80.6%和49.3%,总失重率从63.53%降至61.42%,热稳定性能提高;FWPC燃烧后炭层表面凹凸不平,复合材料的阻燃和抑烟性能得到提升。 展开更多

为了揭示发泡陶瓷的力学特性,进一步验证塑性变形特征,对发泡陶瓷进行有约束轴向压溃实验。针对有约束实验中柱形压头固定和柱形压头与约束套筒共轴的问题,优化设计了一套简单实用的实验装置,包括简单夹具固定柱形压头,止推轴承钢保持... 为了揭示发泡陶瓷的力学特性,进一步验证塑性变形特征,对发泡陶瓷进行有约束轴向压溃实验。针对有约束实验中柱形压头固定和柱形压头与约束套筒共轴的问题,优化设计了一套简单实用的实验装置,包括简单夹具固定柱形压头,止推轴承钢保持架叠放垫片实现柱形压头和不锈钢套筒在实验过程中实时共轴。在有约束和无约束实验条件下,分别得出两组不同密度发泡陶瓷的屈服极限和弹性模量。根据平均屈服极限由经验公式间接计算出较小的泊松比,分别为0.1009和0.07345。对两组样品无约束组和有约束组屈服极限和弹性模量进行两组样品t检验,检验结果表明在统计学意义上发泡陶瓷的泊松比可能为0。 展开更多

为分析硬化促进剂对水泥基泡沫混凝土性能的影响,对加入不同硬化促进剂的水泥基泡沫混凝土进行试验。以水泥质量为基准,分别添加2.0%的氯化钙和0.5%的草酸钙作为硬化促进剂,降低混凝土混合物的收缩变形,增加硬化泡沫混凝土的抗压强度。... 为分析硬化促进剂对水泥基泡沫混凝土性能的影响,对加入不同硬化促进剂的水泥基泡沫混凝土进行试验。以水泥质量为基准,分别添加2.0%的氯化钙和0.5%的草酸钙作为硬化促进剂,降低混凝土混合物的收缩变形,增加硬化泡沫混凝土的抗压强度。结果表明,集料稳定性显著提升,泡沫混凝土混合物的塑性收缩降低了47%~65%。在含有硬化促进剂的泡沫混凝土中,28 d龄期D400的抗压强度从0.31 MPa增至0.47 MPa, D600的抗压强度从0.96 MPa增至1.44 MPa,同时密度保持为D400和D600的平均密度。添加硬化促进剂可以有效提升水泥基泡沫混凝土的性能,满足实际工程的要求。 展开更多

泡沫金属在实际工程应用中往往承受多轴拉伸、拉压组合和压缩等复杂应力状态,且拉伸和压缩性能差异显著,而现有的本构关系理论模型基于多轴压缩实验构建,能否描述多轴拉伸和拉压组合条件下泡沫金属宏观弹塑性力学性能存疑。本文采用数... 泡沫金属在实际工程应用中往往承受多轴拉伸、拉压组合和压缩等复杂应力状态,且拉伸和压缩性能差异显著,而现有的本构关系理论模型基于多轴压缩实验构建,能否描述多轴拉伸和拉压组合条件下泡沫金属宏观弹塑性力学性能存疑。本文采用数值模拟的方法开展多轴加载数值仿真实验,基于数值模拟结果检验泡沫金属两个经典模型:D-F模型与汤立群等提出的理论模型(以下简称Tang模型),在三轴拉伸和拉压组合工况下的合理性。结果表明,D-F模型的椭圆度参数显著影响模型的预测精度,基于三轴拉伸、压缩和拉压组合屈服面拟合计算的椭圆度预测效果最优,结合单轴拉伸应力应变曲线,D-F模型能较好地表征泡沫金属三轴拉压组合条件下力学性能,但存在无法描述塑性耗散功大于单轴拉伸破坏时对应的塑性耗散功的力学行为的缺陷;该模型不能准确描述三轴拉伸力学性能。Tang模型分别描述三轴拉伸和拉压组合破坏前的力学行为,等效应力和应变曲线均具有良好的一致性,但确定等效应力和应变的四个参数均不同且不同于三轴压缩对应的参数;综合考虑三轴拉压组合和三轴压缩工况时,等效应力和应变曲线的一致性很差。 展开更多

To prepare the porous NC-based(nitrocellulose-based) gun propellants,the batch foaming process of using supercritical CO_2 as the physical blowing agent is used.The solubilities of CO_2 in the single-base propellants and TEGDN(trimethyleneglycol dinitrate) propellants are measured by the gravimetric method,and SEM(scanning electron microscope) is used to observe the morphology of foamed propellants.The result shows that a large amount of CO_2 could be dissolved in NC-based propellants.The experimental results also reveal that the energetic plasticizer TEGDN exerts an important influence on the pore structure.The triaxial tensile failure mechanism for solid-state nucleation is used to explain the nucleation of NC-based propellants in the sol id state.Since some specific foaming behaviors of NC-based propellants can not be explained by the failure mechanism,a solid-state nucleation mechanism which revises the triaxial tensile failure mechanism is proposed and discussed. 展开更多

Solar evaporation is recognized as a prospective technique to produce freshwater from non-drinkable water using inexhaustible solar energy.However,it remains a challenge to fabricate low-cost solar evaporators with obviously reduced water evaporation enthalpy to achieve high evaporation rates.Herein,N,O dual-doped carbon foam(NCF)is fabricated from the lowtemperature carbonization of poly(ethylene terephthalate)(PET)waste by melamine/molten salts at 340℃.During carbonization,melamine reacts with carboxylic acids of PET degradation products to yield a crosslinking network,and then molten salts catalyze the decarboxylation and dehydration to construct a stable framework.Owing to rich N,O-containing groups,3D interconnected pores,super-hydrophilicity,and ultra-low thermal conductivity(0.0599 W m^(−1) K^(−1)),NCF not only achieves high light absorbance(ca.99%)and solar-to-thermal conversion,but also promotes the formation of water cluster to reduce water evaporation enthalpy by ca.37%.Consequently,NCF exhibits a high evaporation rate(2.4 kg m^(−2) h^(−1)),surpassing the-state-of-the-art solar evaporators,and presents good antiacid/basic abilities,long-term salt-resistance,and self-cleaning ability.Importantly,a large-scale NCF-based outdoor solar desalination device is developed to produce freshwater.The daily freshwater production amount per unit area(6.3 kg)meets the two adults’daily water consumption.The trash-to-treasure strategy will give impetus to the development of low-cost,advanced solar evaporators from waste plastics for addressing the global freshwater shortage. 展开更多

Several examples for individual foams are discussed, showing the importance of compressibility of the cellular materials. To find out the local buckling behaviors of glass fiber reinforced plastic(GFRP)-foam sandwich pipe suffering axial loading,a series of quasi-static axial compression tests are carried out in the laboratory.Comparing with the test data,systematic numerical analysis on the local buckling behavior of this sandwich pipe is also conducted,and the buckling failure mechanism is revealed.The influences of the key parameters on bearing capacity of the sandwich structure are discussed.Test and numerical results show that the local buckling failure of the GFRPfoam sandwich pipe is dominated basically by two typical modes,i.e.,the conjoint buckling and the layered buckling.Local buckling at the end,shear failure at the end and interface peeling failure are less efficient than the local buckling failure at the middle height,and ought to be restrained by appropriate structural measures.The local buckling bearing capacity increases linearly with the core density of the sandwich pipe structure.When the core density is relatively high(higher than 0.05 g/cm3),the effect of increasing the core density on improving the bearing efficiency is less on the specimens with a large ratio of the wall thickness to the radius than on those with a small one.Local layered buckling is another failure mode with lower bearing efficiency than the local conjoint buckling,and it can be restrained by increasing the core density to ensure the cooperation of the inner and the outer GFRP surface layer.The bearing capacity of the GFRP-foam sandwich pipe increases with the height-diameter ratio;however,the bearing efficiency decreases with this parameter. 展开更多
