The theory is based on the averaged model (which assumes that the frequency of wingbeat is sufficiently higher than that of the body motion, so that the flapping wings' degrees of freedom relative to the body can be dropped and the wings can be replaced by wingbeat-cycle-average forces and moments); the simulation solves the complete equations of motion coupled with the Navier-Stokes equations. Comparison between the theory and the simulation provides a test to the validity of the assumptions in the theory. One of the insects is a model dronefly which has relatively high wingbeat frequency (164 Hz) and the other is a model hawkmoth which has relatively low wingbeat frequency (26 Hz). The results show that the averaged model is valid for the hawkmoth as well as for the dronefly. Since the wingbeat frequency of the hawkmoth is relatively low (the characteristic times of the natural modes of motion of the body divided by wingbeat period are relatively large) compared with many other insects, that the theory based on the averaged model is valid for the hawkmoth means that it could be valid for many insects.展开更多

Currently there lacks further research in this area. In this paper, the mechanical characteristics of independent walking control and steering control and its kinematics principle are introduced, and a vehicle has a composite motion mode of parallel link mechanism and steering mechanism is presented. The motion direction control of the proposed vehicle is only dependant on its steering rails, so its motion is simple and effective to control. When the relative motion between the walking and steering is controlled cooperatively, the vehicle can walk perfectly. By controlling the steering rails, the vehicle can walk along arbitrary trajectory on the ground. To achieve a good result of motion control, an equivalent manipulator model needs to be built. In terms of the mechanism feature and the kinematic principle, the simplified manipulator model consists of a rail in stance phase, a rail in swing phase, and an equivalent leg. Considering the ground surface slope during walking, a parameter of inclination angle is added. Based on such a RPP manipulator model, the equations of motion are derived by means of Lagrangian dynamic approach. To verify the dynamic equations, the motion of the manipulator model is simulated based on linear and nonlinear motion planning. With the same model and motion parameters, the dynamic equations can be solved by Matlab and the calculation data can be gained. Compared with the simulation data, the result confirms the manipulator dynamic equations are correct. As a result of such special characteristics of the legged mechanism with steering rails, it has a potential broad application prospects. The derivation of dynamics equation could benefit the motion control of the mechanism.展开更多

The following conclusion has been drawn. The theory based on the averaged model works well for the lateral motion of the dronefly. For the hawkmoth, relatively large quantitative differences exist between theory and simulation. This is because the lateral non-dimensional eigenvalues of the hawkmoth are not very small compared with the non-dimensional flapping frequency (the largest lateral non-dimensional eigenvalue is only about 10% smaller than the non-dimensional flapping frequency). Nevertheless, the theory can still correctly predict variational trends of the dynamic properties of the hawkmoth's lateral motion.展开更多

This shortcoming seriously restricts its industrial application. Therefore, it is crucial to clarify the theoretical basis of thermo stability and to produce enzymes with high activity and stability. Using the structural modeling and molecular dynamical simulation, residues Leu84, Gly113, Asp116, Ala207 and Leu286 were believed to be the key residues for structural stability. Then the predicted residue Leu84 was mutated to ALA. It was shown that the L84A mutation can improve the thermal stability of chitosanases EAG1. Together with previous studies, mutations of G113C, D116C, A207C and L286C forms two sulfur bonds can change the thermal stability of EAG1. The results suggest that the thermal stability of EAG1 could be engineered by site-directed mutagenesis on the conserved residues. This protocol could be employed for improving thermal stability of other chitosanases EAG1.展开更多

The generalized six DoFs (degrees-of-freedom) nonlinear vehicle model M1 including longitudinal, lateral, yaw, vertical, roll and pitch dynamics is validated using the measured data reported in different studies. This model takes the CG (center of gravity) of sprung mass, unsprung mass and total vehicle mass into account. Based on this model, the effects of the inertia parameters on the vehicle dynamic responses are investigated for more comprehensive assessments of the model structure. Another nonlinear vehicle model 342 derived from M1 which assumes that the vehicle has a single CG as reported in literature is also developed. The dynamic responses of the vehicle model Mj are compared with those of the model M2 to demonstrate the performance potential of the proposed nonlinear model. The results of dynamic responses with the nonlinear vehicle model MI suggest that the model could offer considerable potential in realizing enhanced ride and handling performance, as well as improved roll and pitch properties in a flexible manner.展开更多

Nevertheless, the theory can still correctly predict variational trends of the dynamic properties of the hawkmoth's lateral motion.

This protocol could be employed for improving thermal stability of other chitosanases EAG1.

文摘In this paper, a new practical model for real heavy vehicle structure is developed to investigate dynamic responses under steering/acceleration or braking maneuvers. The results of dynamic responses with the nonlinear vehicle model MI suggest that the model could offer considerable potential in realizing enhanced ride and handling performance, as well as improved roll and pitch properties in a flexible manner.
文摘This paper mainly studies the comparison of the global vehicle models and the effects of the inertial parameters due to the center of gravity(CG)positions when we consider that the vehicle has only one CG.This paper proposes a new nonlinear model vehicle model which considers both unsprung mass and sprung mass CG.The CG positions and inertial parameters effects are analyzed in terms of the published vehicle dynamics models. To this end,two 14 degree-of-freedom(DOF)vehicle models are developed and compared to investigate the vehicle dynamics responses due to the different CG height and inertial parameters concepts. The proposed models describe simultaneously the vehicle motion in longitudinal, lateral and vertical directions as well as roll, pitch and yaw of the vehicle about corresponding axis. The passive and active moments and the forces acting on the vehicle are also described and they are considered as a direct consequence of acceleration, braking and steering maneuvers. The proposed model M1 takes both the CG of sprung mass, unsprung mass and total vehicle mass into account. The second model M2 assumes that the vehicle is one solid body which has a single CG as reported in majority of literature. The two vehicle models are compared and analyzed to evaluate vehicle ride and handling dynamic responses under braking/acceleration and cornering maneuvers.Simulation results show that the proposed model M1 could offer analytically some abilities and driving performances,as well as improved roll and pitch in a very flexible manner compared to the second model M2.

文摘To increase dynamic stability of the quadrotor unmanned aerial vehicles in varying mechanical structure. The qualitative analysis is considered the main methods for analyzing the dynamic stability, while the index of qualitative analysis of the structural stability and the dynamic stability are still hard to establish. Therefore, the process during rolling or pitching is selected for investigating in the present papers, the method of Lyapunov exponent is adopted for establishing the quantification relationship of between structural parameters of quadrotor unmanned aerial vehicles and dynamic stability, and its dynamic stability for guiding the design of the vehicle′s mechanical structure and the optimization of its stability control by using the relationship. As compared to its counterpart of Lyapunov′s second method, the main advantage of the concept of Lyapunov exponents is that the methods for calculating the exponent process are constructive which makes the stability analysis of complex nonlinear systems possible.

文摘A model was developed to simulate a vehicle diaphragm spring clutch with the evaluation indicators of jerk degree and friction work.First, the pressing load characteristic of the driven plate of the diaphragm spring clutch was analyzed. Then, the clutch dynamic characteristic under each state was studied according to the basic principles of tribology. Finally, the mathematical model of the clutch was developed.Based on the model, the performance of a vehicle was simulated. The simulation results show that the model can predict the dynamic characteristic of the clutch correctly and evaluate the performance of the clutch engagement effectively. The model can be used for theoretical research of automatic clutch control and can be easily applied to simulate vehicle longitudinal dynamics.
文摘The study of dynamics of tank vehicles carrying liquid fuel cargo is complex. The forces and moments due to liquid sloshing create serious problems related to the instability of tank vehicles. In this paper, a complete analytical model of a modular tank vehicle has been developed. The model included all the vehicle systems and subsystems. Simulation results obtained using this model was compared with those obtained using the popular TruckSim software. The comparison proved the validity of the assumptions used in the analytical model and showed a good correlation under single or double lane change and turning manoeuvers.
文摘The steering characteristic of a four-wheel-steering vehicle is numerically simulated for in-depth research of the handling stability of four-wheel steering. The research results show that the deteriorating tendency of the steering stability due to the increase of the vehicle speed is improved obviously in the case of four-wheel steering. The approach of variable steering ratio is discussed. The use of the variable steering ratio can not only raise the steering stability of vechicles at high vehicle speed, but also reduce the dicomfort and steering burden of drivers; and hence is helpful for the subjective evaluation of four-wheel steering vehicles.
