As bending and random vibration are not considered in a traditional design method for beam structures of a large vibrating screen, fatigue damage occurs frequently to affect the screening performance. This work aims to conduct a systematic mechanics analysis of the beam structures and improve the design method. Total motion of a beam structure in screening process can be decomposed into the traditional followed rigid translation(FRT), bending vibration(BV) and axial linear-distributed random rigid translation(ALRRT) excited by the side-plates. When treated as a generalized single-degree-of-freedom(SDOF) elastic system analytically, the BV can be solved by the Rayleigh's method. Stochastic analysis for random process is conducted for the detailed ALRRT calculation. Expressions for the mechanics property, namely, the shearing force and bending-moment with respect to BV and ALRRT, are derived, respectively. Experimental and numerical investigations demonstrate that the largest BV exists at the beam center and can be nearly ignored in comparison with the FRT during a simplified engineering design. With the BV and FRT considered, the mechanics property accords well with the practical situation with the maximum error of 6.33%, which is less than that obtained by traditional method.展开更多

The modal frequency, mode, and harmonic displacement under working frequency were obtained. Variation of rubber spring supporting equipment's dynamic performance was discussed first, which is under the condition of existing spring stiffness difference and exciting force bias. Also, the quantitative calculation formulas were given. The results indicate that the performance of vibrating screen is closely related with rubber spring supporting equipment's dynamic performance. Differences of springs' stiffness coefficients reduce the modal frequency reduced, decrease the dynamic stiffness, and increase vibration displacement. Exciting force bias induces a larger lateral displacement. When rubber springs' stiffness coefficients exist, differences and lateral force accounts for 5% in total exciting force; rubber spring supporting equipment's side swing is larger than 1 mm, exceeding the side swing limit.展开更多

The motion and penetration of the particles on the screen deck were analyzed for linear, circular and elliptical vibration of the screen. The results show that the travel velocity of the particles is the fastest, but the screening efficiency is the lowest, for the linear vibration mode. The circular motion resulted in the highest screening efficiency, but the lowest particle travel velocity. In the steady state the screening efficiency for each mode is seen to increase gradually along the longitudinal direction of the deck. The screening efficiency increment of the circular mode is the largest while the linear mode shows the smallest increment. The volume fraction of near-mesh size particles at the underside is larger than that of small size particles all along the screen deck. Linear screening mode has more near-mesh and small size particles on the first three deck sections, and fewer on the last two sections, compared to the circular or elliptical modes.展开更多

In this paper, a new equation proposed by the present authors (Qian and Xiao) is solved. Numerical solutions obtained by using the symbolic computation program from both the R-P equation and the Qian-Xiao (Q-X) equation clearly demonstrate that Q-X equation yields best results matching the experimental data (in expansion phase). The numerical solutions of R-P equation also demonstrate the oscillation of a bubble in water depends strongly upon the surface tension and the shear viscosity coefficients as well as the amplitude of driving pressure, so that the uniqueness of the numerical solutions may be suspected if they are varied arbitrarily in order to fit the experimental data. If the bubble's vibration accompanies an energy loss such as the light radiation during the contract phase, the mechanism of the energy loss has to be taken into account. We suggest that by use of the bubble's vibration to investigate the state equations of aqueous solutions seem to be possible. We also believe that if one uses this equation instead of R-P equation to deal with the relevant problems such as the 'phase diagrams for sonoluminescing bubbles', etc., some different results may be expected.展开更多

The signals of displacement in the vibration process during the test were collected. The trispectrum model of autoregressive (AR) time series was built and the correlation dimension was used to quantify the fractal characteristics during the vibration process. The result shows that,in different working conditions, trispectrum slices are applied to obtaining the information of non-Gaussian,nonlinear amplitude?frequency characteristics of the signal. Besides, there is correlation between the correlation dimension of vibration signal and trispectrum slices, which is very important to select the optimum working parameters of the MR damper and vibrating screen. And in the experimental conditions,it is found that when the working current of MR damper is 2 A and the rotation speed of vibration motor is 800 r/min,the vibration screen reaches its maximum screening efficiency.展开更多

Current studies on twin-fluid nozzles mainly focus on droplet breakup and single droplet characteristics. Research relating to the influences of structural parameters on the droplet diameter characteristics in the flow field is scarcely available. In this paper, the influence of a self-excited vibrating cavity structure on droplet diameter characteristics was investigated. Twin-fluid atomizing tests were performed by a self-built open atomizing test bench, which was based on a phase Doppler particle analyzer(PDPA). The atomizing flow field of the twin-fluid nozzle with a self-excited vibrating cavity and its absence were tested and analyzed. Then the atomizing flow field of the twin-fluid nozzle with different self-excited vibrating cavity structures was investigated. The experimental results show that the structural parameters of the self-excited vibrating cavity had a great effect on the breakup of large droplets. The Sauter mean diameter(SMD) increased with the increase of orifice diameter or orifice depth. Moreover, a smaller orifice diameter or orifice depth was beneficial to enhancing the turbulence around the outlet of nozzle and decreasing the SMD. The atomizing performance was better when the orifice diameter was2.0 mm or the orifice depth was 1.5 mm. Furthermore, the SMD increased first and then decreased with the increase of the distance between the nozzle outlet and self-excited vibrating cavity, and the SMD of more than half the atomizing flow field was under 35 μm when the distance was 5.0 mm. In addition, with the increase of axial and radial distance from the nozzle outlet, the SMD and arithmetic mean diameter(AMD) tend to increase. The research results provide some design parameters for the twin-fluid nozzle, and the experimental results could serve as a beneficial supplement to the twin-fluid nozzle study.展开更多

Linear screening mode has more near-mesh and small size particles on the first three deck sections, and fewer on the last two sections, compared to the circular or elliptical modes.

文摘The numerical results obtained by Rayleigh-Plesset (R-P) equation failed to agree with the experimental Mie scattering data of a bubble in water without inappropriately increasing the shear viscosity and decreasing the surface tension coefficient. We also believe that if one uses this equation instead of R-P equation to deal with the relevant problems such as the 'phase diagrams for sonoluminescing bubbles', etc., some different results may be expected.
文摘n this paper, fundamental equations of the axisymmetric large amplitude .freevibration for circular sandwich plates are derived by means of Hamilion principle. Inmosi cases, the sandwich plates are composed of very thin faces, then the precedingfundamental equations are simplified considerably. For an illusirative example, a circu-lar sandwich plate with edge clamped but free to slip is considered, and then we gol a pure analytic solution of the axisvmmetric large amplitude free vibration with the aid of the modified iteration method. and derived an analytic relation for the amplitude-frequency response.

文摘In order to improve the screening efficiency of vibrating screen and make vibration process smooth,a new type of magnetorheological (MR) damper was proposed. And in the experimental conditions,it is found that when the working current of MR damper is 2 A and the rotation speed of vibration motor is 800 r/min,the vibration screen reaches its maximum screening efficiency.

文摘It is a great challenge to find effective atomizing technology for reducing industrial pollution; the twin-fluid atomizing nozzle has drawn great attention in this field recently. The research results provide some design parameters for the twin-fluid nozzle, and the experimental results could serve as a beneficial supplement to the twin-fluid nozzle study.

文摘Using the constitutive equation of co-rotational derivative type for anisotropic viscoelastic fluid-liquid crystalline(LC),polymer liquids was developed. Two relaxation times are introduced in the equation:λn represents relaxation of the normal-symmetric stress components;λs represents relaxation of the shear-unsymmetric stress components.A vibrational rotating flow in gap between cylinders with small amplitudes is studied for the anisotropic viscoelastic fluid-liquid crystalline polymer. The time-dependent constitutive equation are linearized with respect to parameter of small amplitude. For the normal-symmetric part of stress tensor analytical expression of the shear stress is obtained by the constitutive equation. The complex viscosity, complex shear modulus, dynamic and imaginary viscosities, storage modulus and loss modulus are obtained for the normal-symmetric stress case which are defined by the common shear rate. For the shear-unsymmetric stress part, two shear stresses are obtained thus two complex viscosities and two complex shear modulus(i.e.first and second one) are given by the constitutive equation which are defined by rotating shear rate introduced by author. The dynamic and imaginary viscosities, storage modulus and loss modulus are given for each complex viscosities and complex shear modulus.Using the constituive equation the rotating flow with small amplitudes in gap between two coaxial cylinders is studied.
文摘In this paper, nonlinear forced vibration of symmetrically laminated rectilinearly orthotropic circular plates excited by a harmonic force q(0)cos omega t including effects of transverse shear deformation is discussed. The analytical solution for the relationship between forcing frequency and amplitude of vibration is obtained by Galerkin's method. Finally, the paper analyses the effect of the transverse shear on the vibration of the plate and gives the ratio of nonlinear period to linear period for nonlinear free vibration of the plate.
文摘Today ultrasonic power technique is consider a mandatory technique which is always entered in many processes such as in metal and plastic welding to overcomes many issues, with aided of applying force(pressure)and supplied high frequency vibration,a solid-state weld can be generated by ultrasonic metal welding technique. That gives a technique the ability to join not only a small component, whereas also to join thicker specimens, which depends on a proper control of matching welding conditions. Therefore a welding performance can be studied and compared after designed welding horn to resonance at frequencies of 20 kHz and 40 kHz.The analyses of the designed horn are completed through use a vibration mathematical expressions, modal and harmonic analyses to ensure the weldability due to applying ultrasonic power to the working area and also to compare the performance of joint at using two resonance frequencies of 20 kHz and 40 kHz.The dimensions of the horns were determined to match the selected resonance frequencies, which the lengths were calculated as 132 mm and 66 mm respectively. The analysis of the exciting model indicates that the axial vibration modes of 19,584 Hz and 39,794 Hz are obtained in 10th mode, while the two frequency values are recorded 19,600 Hz and 39,800 Hz from the frequency response of the two horns. The weld strength between Al and Cu specimens with a thickness 0.5 mm was evaluated using a tensile test, which the analyses were obtained under using different welding pressure and varied amplitudes. The results were recorded within exciting a horn with two different resonance frequencies, show the enhancement of weld strength and quality through control of stepping amplitude, the enhancement means obtain good strength of the weld, reduce sticking horn to specimen, and lower specimen marking.

文摘With the rapid development of large megawatt wind turbines, the operation environment of wind turbine towers(WTTs)has become increasingly complex. In particular, seismic excitation can create a resonance response and cause excessive vibration of the WTT.To investigate the vibration attenuation performance of the WTT under seismic excitations,a novel passive vibration control device, called a prestressed tuned mass damper(PS-TMD),is presented in this study.First,a mathematical model is established based on structural dynamics under seismic excitation. Then, the mathematical analytical expression of the dynamic coefficient is deduced, and the parameter design method is obtained by system tuning optimization.Next, based on a theoretical analysis and parameter design, the numerical results showed that the PS-TMD was able to effectively mitigate the resonance under the harmonic basal acceleration. Finally, the time-history analysis method is used to verify the effectiveness of the traditional pendulum tuned mass damper(PTMD)and the novel PS-TMD device, and the results indicate that the vibration attenuation performance of the PS-TMD is better than the PTMD.In addition, the PS-TMD avoids the nonlinear effect due to the large oscillation angle, and has the potential to dissipate hysteretic energy under seismic excitation.
