Investigation of Ralph Waldo Emerson, Henry David＇s and Herman Melville＇s Views of Nature

This paper is aimed at interpreting Ralph Waldo Emerson, Henry David Thoreau and Herman Melville's view of nature clearly by briefly analyzing their representative works. And this paper is composed of four parts. Chapter Ⅰ will make a detailed analysis of Emerson's view of nature and make a further investigation of his view by analyzing his work Nature.Chapter Ⅱ is about Thoreau's view of nature and his attitude to nature through his work Walden. Chapter Ⅲ firstly makes a brief introduction of Melville's view of nature and then interprets it by explaining the symbolic meaning of main characters' names in his famous work Moby-Dick. And the last chapter makes a simple comparison among their views of nature to give a further understanding of the view of nature in American Literature.

Through the collection and systematic analysis of documents related to window views of hospitals,it is found that natural window views had a significant impact on patients’health benefits.The research focused on three aspects:“shortening length of stay”,“pain reduction”and“improvement of recovery rate”,mainly covering three types of patients:“heart patients”,“postoperative patients”and“patients of rehabilitation centers”.Based on the above analysis,summary and sorting,new directions and perspectives of hospital environment design and research under the concept of comprehensive health of people’s physiological,psychological and social adaptation will be obtained to provide references for the research and practice of health architecture,rehabilitation architecture,biophile design and other fields.

Benefits of Viewing Nature: A Review of Landscape Health Research

Nowadays,several studies demonstrate that viewing nature has positive effects on human health and well-being.This essay discusses about the essential methods of viewing natural environment and their impacts on human well-being by clarifying four important theoretical models:reducing stress,lowering heart rate,improving outcome of surgery,and increasing attention.In addition,some important research results in this field are taken as examples to introduce research methods.By collecting and organizing existing studies and theories about the relationship between viewing nature and human well-being,the methods of viewing nature can be divided into two parts:viewing nature through specific media(e.g.,through a window,a book,a painting or a videotape)and being with the presence of nature.This study aims to clarify the research significance of viewing nature and find deficiency in this field to maximize the role of landscapes in human health and well-being.

The paper had studied the source of natural aesthetic view,discussed the great significance of world view of "unity between heaven and human",concluded the complement and deepening of "unity between heaven and human" by different schools,and proposed that artistic beauty was the distinctive feature of Chinese traditional garden.From the perspective of historical development,it had made a general survey of the change of Chinese traditional natural aesthetic view,analyzed main content and characteristics of it at the generating stage,forming stage and development stage,and emphasized that characteristics of each stage formed on the basis of natural aesthetic consciousness of last stage.Based on this,by combining the development of traditional gardens,effect of change of natural aesthetic view on gardens had been analyzed,and correspondingly,development of gardens had been divided into three stages which were forming stage,emergence of natural landscape garden and emergence of artistic landscape garden.It highlighted the great significance of natural aesthetic view in gardens,and inspired that Chinese modern landscape garden and landscape design should be based on natural aesthetic view,combine with change of modern citizens' aesthetic view,and then carry forward Chinese traditional natural aesthetic view.

The Impact of Lean Manufacturing Practices on Sustainability Performance:A Natural Resource-Based View

Drawing upon a Natural Resource-Based View(NRBV),this paper aims to propose a quantitative model that could be used to investigate whether Lean Manufacturing(LM)practices/tools can improve the three aspects of corporate sustainability performance(economic,environmental,and social).This paper is based on a theoretical study to develop a new model by reviewing the literature and proposing new ideas according to the Natural Resource-Based View(NRBV).Reviewing the literature showed that there is a significant association between LM practices/tools implementation and the improvement on three aspects of corporate sustainability performance(economic,environmental,and social).This paper provides insights to manufacturing managers about the ability of LM practices to reduce cost of operations and maximize the value provided to customers.Further,it highlighted the importance of LM practices implementation to manage organizations’activities responsibly in terms of their environmental,social,and economic effects.By proposing such a quantitative model according to a NRBV,this study contributes to a broader understanding of how LM practices affect three pillars of sustainability.

Laozi’s concept of desire has rich ideological connotations,not only referring to reducing personal desires.Laozi’s concept of desire is based on“desire”as human nature,acknowledging the legitimacy and necessity of desire and demand.The rational criticism of“having desire”formed by“no desire”is the value pursuit of Laozi’s concept of desire.From both personal physical and mental aspects and social order,“no desire”plays an important guiding role.Nature is the essence of Laozi’s concept of desire,and being in harmony with nature is the best state of desire.Laozi’s concept of desire reveals a deep spirit of love,and the“ethics of love”highlights Laozi’s strong sense of care for the“other”and ethical attitude towards responsibility.Laozi’s contemplation of desire contains a strong humanistic spirit,with the aim of promoting the healthy and sustainable development of life and society.

Forward-viewing endoscopic ultrasound-guided NOTES interventions: A study on peritoneoscopic potential

AIM:To evaluate the feasibility of diagnostic and therapeutic transgastric(TG)peritoneoscopic interventions with a forward-viewing endoscopic ultrasound(FV-EUS).METHODS:This prospective endoscopic experimental study used an animal model.Combined TG peritoneoscopic interventions and EUS examination of the intraabdominal organs were performed using an FV-EUS on 10 animal models(1 porcine and 9 canine).The procedures carried out include EUS evaluation and endoscopic biopsy of intraperitoneal organs,EUS-guided fine needle aspiration(EUS-FNA),EUS-guided radiofrequency ablation(EUS-RFA),and argon plasma coagulation(APC)for hemostatic control.The animals were kept alive for 7 d,and then necropsy was performed to evaluate results and complications.RESULTS:In all 10 animals,TG peritoneoscopy,followed by endoscopic biopsy for the liver,spleen,abdominal wall,and omentum,was performed successfully.APC helped control minor bleeding.Visualization of intra-abdominal solid organs with real-time EUS was accomplished with ease.Intraperitoneal EUS-FNA was successfully performed on the liver,spleen,and kidney.Similarly,a successful outcome was achieved with EUSRFA of the hepatic parenchyma.No adverse events were recorded during the study.CONCLUSION:Peritoneoscopic natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery(NOTES)interventions through FV-EUS were feasible in providing evaluation and performing endoscopic procedures.It promises potential as a platform for future EUS-based NOTES.

收益系统观视角下的森林碳汇资源资产价值实现机制建构

森林碳汇资源资产价值的实现在全民所有自然资源资产所有权委托代理机制试点目标实现过程中扮演着重要角色。基于“现状分析—观念提出—理论搭建—制度建构”的思维脉络,对森林碳汇资源资产价值实现问题进行了探索,以期为“落实所有者权益”目标实现提供新的思路。通过森林蓄积量扩展法和市场价值法测算了中国近4次森林资源清查的森林碳汇价值存量,发现我国森林碳汇价值存量具有总量大且持续增长的特征,说明研究森林碳汇价值实现具有重要意义。进一步梳理政府公开资料发现,虽然森林碳汇拥有巨大价值存量,但真正能够转化为收益的价值存量占比较低,各地林区广泛依赖政府财政支出或补贴的方式维持经营管理,因此如何创新森林碳汇价值实现模式、将价值存量最大化转换为资产收益、切实落实森林碳汇资源资产所有者权益是亟待解答的重要问题。凝练马克思辩证唯物主义系统观核心内涵,深入自然资源资产价值实现实践,提出“收益系统观”的研究思路,从全局观、链条观、发展观的视角进行机制设计。“收益系统观”是将自然资源经济价值实现等同于资产收益实现,从收益的获得出发,到“全民共享”目标达到结束,为每一关键节点设计机制要素,以打通收益实现的制度链条,真正实现森林碳汇资源资产经济价值,切实落实收益共享的目标任务。以“收益系统观”视角切入,对森林碳汇资源资产价值实现进行了理论机制搭建,从总体框架、关键环节、保障机制方面充分考虑各部分的需求,初步形成森林碳汇资源资产价值实现机制理论体系。基于搭建出的理论体系,对价值实现机制进行制度建构。对收益获得这一关键环节,提出市场、金融、产业3种收益获得路径,并分别给出制度优化建议;对收益管理这一重要保障,针对收益管理中委托代理方式不明的问题提出“互动完全式”委托代理方式;对收益分配这另一重要保障,提出分配制度要充分体现“全民所有”属性,在收益分配的主客体和主次关系上做出了分析,提出中央、地方、企业、全民之间需进行3次分配,同时建立完善的收益预算和收益使用管理制度以使收益分配更加制度化、规范化、公开化。

基于共识性范式反思的科学本质教育研究

科学本质教育是科学教育的重要内容,也是做好科学教育加法的认识论基础。基于对共识性范式的反思,我国的科学本质教育亟须重视科学本质的争议性、动态性、关联性特征,帮助学生形成真实、完整的科学图景,连贯深入地理解科学,建构完善的科学本质认知网络。立足我国现状,借鉴国际经验,科学本质教育应协同认知诊断技术和教育神经科学方法,对大、中、小学一体化考虑,深刻揭示科学本质认识的纵向发展轨迹;利用网络分析技术,统筹规划知识、能力和科学本质,建构科学本质的横向整合模型;以学习进阶为理论基础,统领科学本质的纵向发展与横向整合,建立发展路径明确、内涵结构清晰的科学本质教育模型。

论商鞅法治主义的内在逻辑及其影响

商鞅法治主义内在逻辑的起点是其历史观与人性论。以商鞅的历史观为视角,可以看出商鞅将物质生产资料作为历史发展的基本线索。商鞅将历史进程划分为不同阶段,并指出不同历史阶段的社会治理方式存在差异。以商鞅的人性论为视角,可以看出商鞅指明了人民趋利避害的本性,从而主张轻罪重刑,目的在于防止人民行奸邪之事,借重刑的手段来遏制人趋利的本性,借此督促人民遵守社会秩序。商鞅提出的法治理论丰富了我国法治文化的内容,为后世的法治建设奠定了坚实的基础,产生了积极影响。不过商鞅忽略了道德的作用,盲目推崇法治万能论,将人民束缚在极为严密的法网之下,繁杂而严苛的法律引起了人民内心的激愤之情,导致其法治主张走向了历史的反面。

维柯美本质论的意义与价值
