Resource Reconstruction Algorithms for On-demand Allocation in Virtual Computing Resource Pool

Resource reconstruction algorithms are studied in this paper to solve the problem of resource on-demand allocation and improve the efficiency of resource utilization in virtual computing resource pool. Based on the idea of resource virtualization and the analysis of the resource status transition, the resource allocation process and the necessity of resource reconstruction are presented, l^esource reconstruction algorithms are designed to determine the resource reconstruction types, and it is shown that they can achieve the goal of resource on-demand allocation through three methodologies: resource combination, resource split, and resource random adjustment. The effects that the resource users have on the resource reconstruction results, the deviation between resources and requirements, and the uniformity of resource distribution are studied by three experiments. The experiments show that resource reconstruction has a close relationship with resource requirements, but it is not the same with current distribution of resources. The algorithms can complete the resource adjustment with a lower cost and form the logic resources to match the demands of resource users easily. 展开更多

The concept of virtualization of wireless communication systems is based on the open and scalable hardware platform of software radios in the personal communication network. The base station is divided into four components according to their functions: antenna, IF, baseband, and control, which are connected by the ATM network. Virtualization provides great benefits such as fast handoff and easy realization of different macrodiversity algorithms. Macrodiversity can not be easily realized in conventional cellular systems. An exact analysis is presented for the performance of maximal ratio combining (MRC) macrodiversity in virtualized wireless communication systems. The results show that compared with soft handoff in CDMA systems, MRC can greatly increase the reverse link capacity. 展开更多

Started from salicylic acid(SA) and related commercialized plant activators,based on molecular threedimensional shape and pharmacophore similarity comparison(SHAFTS),a new lead compound benzotriazole was predicted and a series of benzotriazole derivatives were designed and synthesized.The bioassay showed that benzotriazole had high activity against a broad spectrum of diseases including fungi and oomycetes in vivo,but no activity in vitro.And the introduction of proper groups at the1'-position and 5'-position was beneficial to the activity.So,they had the potential to be exploited as novel plant activators. 展开更多
