The momentum and energy equations are reduced to couple non-linear partial differential equations along with the boundary conditions by using a suitable similarity transformation. These partial differential equations are transformed to a system of coupled non-linear ordinary differential equations by employing a perturbation technique. The system is solved by developing a suitable numerical procedure such as implicit finite difference scheme along with Newton’s linearization method. The computational results for the flow quantities have presented graphically for the effects of thermal radiation, viscous dissipation, heat generation/absorption, visco-elasticity, Hartmann number and the permeability parameter. Results demonstrated that Prandtl number has more pronouncing effect on the temperature distribution rather than the viscosity parameter as well as the thermal radiation parameter. Further the velocity gradient changes significantly due to the presence of temperature dependent variable viscosity.展开更多

To study the inheritance of the RVA profile, an F2 population of Wuyujing 3/Aichi 106 was used. The results indicated that the peak viscosity (PKV) was a typical quantitative character, and the hot paste viscosity (HPV), cool paste viscosity (CPV), setback viscosity (SBV), breakdown viscosity (BDV), and consistence viscosity (CSV) might be controlled by one major gene and several minor genes To elucidate the genetic basis of the paste viscosity characteristics, a recombinant inbred line (RIL) population derived from Nikken 2/Milyang 23 and its genetic linkage map were used to map the QTLs controlling RVA profiles in 2005 and 2006. A total of 34 QTLs distributed on chromosomes 1,2, 3, 4, 6, 7 and 8 were detected, including 19 and 15 QTLs in 2005 and 2006 respectively. Eight QTLs were both detected in the two years, qHPV6, qCPV6, qCSV6, qSBV6, and qBDV6 were located on chromosome 6, while qHPV2, qCSV2, and qCPV2were on chromosome 2.展开更多

The cyclic deformation of the material presents remarkable time-dependence and history memory phenomena. The fractional(fractional-order)derivative is an efficient tool for modeling these phenomena. Therefore, we develop a cyclic fractional-order unified visco-plastic(FVP) constitutive model. Specifically, within the framework of the cyclic elasto-plastic theory, the fractional derivative is used to describe the accumulated plastic strain rate and nonlinear kinematic hardening rule based on the Ohno-Abdel-Karim model. Moreover, a new radial return method for the back stress is developed to describe the unclosed hysteresis loops of the stress-strain properly. The capacity of the FVP model used to predict the cyclic deformation of the SS304 stainless steel is verified through a comparison with the corresponding experimental data found in the literature(KANG, G. Z., KAN, Q. H., ZHANG, J., and SUN, Y. F. Timedependent ratcheting experiments of SS304 stainless steel. International Journal of Plasticity, 22(5), 858–894(2006)). The FVP model is shown to be successful in predicting the rate-dependent ratcheting behaviors of the SS304 stainless steel.展开更多

The model chosen will be the basis for the development of computational tools for stress and strain for Senegal. However, the calibration of these models needs complex modulus test results. In opposition to mechanical models the complex modulus can directly characterize the viscoelastic behavior of bituminous materials. Here determination is performed in the laboratory by using several types of tests divided into two groups: homogeneous tests and non-homogeneous tests. The choice of model will be carried out by statistical analysis through the least squares method. To this end, a study was carried out to “Laboratory of Pavement and Bituminous Materials” (LCMB) with asphalt concrete mixed with aggregate from Senegal named basalt of Diack and quartzite of Bakel. In this study, the test used to measure the complex modulus is the Canadian test method LC 26-700 (Determination of the complex modulus by tension-compression). There mainly exist two viewing complex modulus planes for laboratory test results: the Cole and Cole plane and the Black space. The uniqueness of the data points in these two areas means that studied asphalt concretes are thermorheologically simple and that the principle of time-temperature superposition can be applied. This means that the master curve may be drawn and that the same modulus value can be obtained for different pairs (frequency-temperature). These master curves are fitted during the calibration process by the advanced rheological models. One of the most used software in the French rational design for the visualization of complex modulus test results and calibration of rheological models developed tools is named Visco-analysis. In this study, its use in interpreting the complex modulus test results and calibration models shows that, the studied asphalt concretes are thermorheologically simple, because they present good uniqueness of their Black and Cole and Cole and Black diagrams. They allow a good application of the principle of time temperature superposition. The statistical analysis of calibration models by the least squares method has shown that the three studied models are suitable for modeling the linear viscoelastic behavior of asphalt mixtures formulated with the basalt of Diack and the quartzite of Bakel. Indeed their calibration has very similar precision values of “Sum of Squared Deviation” (SSD) about 0.185. However, the lower precision value (0.169) is obtained with the 2S2P1D model.展开更多

This phenomenon can be simulated in creep and recovery tests. By applying the visco elastoplastic model proposed, data recorded in the tests are interpreted. It is emphasised that applicability of the visco elastoplastic model depends on the proper method of characterising parameters involved in the constitutive equations. Since two or more strain components of elasticity and viscosity coexist during the loading or unloading, a measuring system of two loggers is introduced to decouple these components. Test data are analysed in three steps as elastic, visco elastic and visco plastic evaluations, using the records collected at the moment of unloading, during the periods of recovery and creep respectively. Factors that may influence the accuracy of data analysis are also discussed.展开更多

The adjustability of structural dynamics to random environmental excitations is required in vibration control. MRVE can supply considerably adjustable damping and stiffness for structures, and the adjustment of dynamic properties is achieved only by applied magnetic fields with changeless structure design. 文摘Based on the layered visco-elastic soil model, according to the Terzaghi's one dimensional consolidation theory, by the method of Laplace transform and matrix transfer technique, the problems about the consolidation of layered and saturated visco-elastic soils under arbitrary loading were solved. Through deductions, the general solution, in the terms of layer thickness, the modulus and the coefficients of permeability and Laplacian transform's parameters was obtained. The strain and deformation of the layered and saturated visco-elastic soils under arbitrary loading can be calculated by Laplace inversion. According to the results of several numerical examples, the consolidation of visco-elastic soils logs behind that of elastic soils. The development of effective stress and the displacement is vibrant process under cyclic loading. Finally, an engineering case is studied and the results prove that the methods are very effective.

文摘Magneto-rheological visco-elastomer (MRVE) as a new smart material developed in recent years has several significant advantages over magneto-rheological liquid. The adjustability of structural dynamics to random environmental excitations is required in vibration control. MRVE can supply considerably adjustable damping and stiffness for structures, and the adjustment of dynamic properties is achieved only by applied magnetic fields with changeless structure design. Increasing researches on MRVE dy- namic properties, modeling, and vibration control application are presented. Recent advances in MRVE dynamic properties and structural vibration control application including composite structural vibration mitigation under uniform magnetic fields, vibration response characteristics improvement through harmonic parameter distribution, and optimal bounded parametric control design based on the dynamical programming principle are reviewed. Relevant main methods and results introduced are beneficial to understanding and researches on MRVE application and development.
文摘Based on synthetically considering the coupled thermo mechanical relations between temperature and deforming, a numerical simulation of the forging process for the special long cone shaped workpiece of Al 5.44Mg 2.15Li 0.12Zr alloy at high temperature was conducted by using the rigid visco plastic finite element method. The relations between the total load and the displacement during the forging, and the distributions of stress, strain, temperature and strain rate, which can provide useful information for the process design, are obtained.
