Physical characteristics such as thermo-diffusion, injection-suction, and viscous dissipation are taken into consideration, in addition to an equally distributed magnetic force utilized as well in the completely opposite path of the flow. By means of several non-dimensional transformations, the momentum, energy, concentration, and nanoparticle volume fraction equations under investigation are converted in terms of nonlinear boundary layer equations and computationally resolved by utilizing the sixth-order Runge-Kutta strategy in combination together with the iteration of Nachtsheim-Swigert shooting procedure. By contrasting the findings produced for a few particular examples with those found in the published literature, the correctness of the numerical result is verified, and a rather good agreement is found. Utilizing various ranges of pertinent factors, computing findings are determined not only regarding velocity, temperature, and concentration as well as nanoparticle fraction of volume but also concerning with local skin-friction coefficient, local Nusselt and general Sherwood numbers associated with nanoparticle Sherwood number. The findings of the study demonstrate that increasing the fluid suction parameter decreases the velocity and temperature of the flow field in conjunction with concentration and has a variable impact on the nanoparticle fraction of volume, despite an increasing behavior in the local skin friction coefficient and local Nusselt as well as general Sherwood numbers and an increasing behavior in the local nanoparticle Sherwood number. Furthermore, enhancing a Schmidt number leads to a reduction in the local nanoparticle Sherwood number and a rise in the nanoparticle proportion of volume. Along with concentration, it also reduces temperature and velocity. However, it also raises the local Sherwood and Nusselt numbers and reduces the local skin friction coefficient.展开更多

The finite element analysis and experiments of viscous warm pressure bulging (VWPB) of AZ31B magnesium alloy were conducted to analyze the influence of different ellipticity dies on the formability of AZ31B magnesium alloy. At the same time, based on the grid strain rule, the forming limit diagram (FLD) of VWPB of AZ31B magnesium alloy was obtained through measuring the strain of bulging specimens. The results showed that at the temperature range of viscous medium thermal stability, the viscous medium can fit the geometry variation of sheet and generate non-uniform pressure field, and as the die ellipticity increases, the difference value of non-uniform pressure reduces. 文摘The dynamics of a solid spherical body in an oscillating liquid flow in a vertical axisymmetric channel of variable cross section is experimentally studied. It is shown that the oscillating liquid leads to the generation of intense averaged flows in each of the channel segments. The intensity and direction of these flows depend on the dimensionless oscillating frequency. In the region of studied frequencies, the dynamics of the considered body is examined when the primary vortices emerging in the flow occupy the whole region in each segment. For a fixed frequency,an increase in the oscillation amplitude leads to a phase-inclusion holding effect,i.e.,the body occupies a quasi-stationary position in one of the cells of the vertical channel, while oscillating around its average position. It is also shown that the oscillating motion of a liquid column generates an averaged force acting on the body, the magnitude of which depends on the properties of the body and its position in the channel. The quasi-stationary position is determined by the relative density and size of the body,as well as the dimensionless frequency. The behavior of the body as a function of the amplitude and frequency of fluid oscillation and relative size is discussed in detail.Such findings may be used in the future to control the position of a phase inclusion and/or to strengthen mass transfer effects in a channel of variable cross section by means of fluid oscillations.

文摘Adhesion of oil at rock surface plays an important role in the liberation of oil from micro-/nano-pores,especially for heavy oil that has extremely high viscosity.Although molecular dynamics simulation is widely used to study the interfacial interaction for some specific oil-water-rock systems, experimental measurements provide more realistic and reliable evidence. In this work,we propose a dynamic wettability characterization method to indirectly measure resistant forces at oil-surfactant-rock interfaces, including frictional force, wettability hysteresis force, and viscous force, which are parallel with the oil-solid interface. The adhesive force, which is normal to the oil-solid interface is calculated through measurement of work of adhesion. The results show that work of adhesion instead of contact angle can better describe the adhesion of oil at solid surface. The effect of surfactant concentration on work of adhesion is different for water-wet and oil-wet surfaces. Moreover, average viscous forces are calculated through force analysis on oil drops moving along solid surface in different surfactant environments. It is found that viscous force has a magnitude comparable to the frictional force during the movement, while the wettability hysteresis force is negligible. On the other hand, the adhesive force calculated from the work of adhesion is also comparable to the viscous force. Therefore, both the resistant forces parallel with and normal to the oil-solid interface should be minimized for the liberation of oil from rock surface. This work proposes a simple method to evaluate the wetting capability of different surfactants and measure the adhesive force between heavy oil and rock surfaces indirectly, which provides insight into the adhesion of heavy oil at rock surface and would be valuable for the development of surfactant-based oil recovery methods.

文摘In this paper,we construct a high-order discontinuous Galerkin(DG)method which can preserve the positivity of the density and the pressure for the viscous and resistive magnetohydrodynamics(VRMHD).To control the divergence error in the magnetic field, both the local divergence-free basis and the Godunov source term would be employed for the multi-dimensional VRMHD.Rigorous theoretical analyses are presented for one-dimensional and multi-dimensional DG schemes, respectively, showing that the scheme can maintain the positivity-preserving(PP)property under some CFL conditions when combined with the strong-stability-preserving time discretization. Then, general frameworks are established to construct the PP limiter for arbitrary order of accuracy DG schemes.Numerical tests demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed schemes.
文摘This study investigates the influence of periodic heat flux and viscous dissipation on magnetohydrodynamic(MHD)flow through a vertical channel with heat generation.A theoretical approach is employed. The channel is exposed to a perpendicular magnetic field, while one side experiences a periodic heat flow, and the other side undergoes a periodic temperature variation.Numerical solutions for the governing partial differential equations are obtained using a finite difference approach, complemented by an eigenfunction expansion method for analytical solutions.Visualizations and discussions illustrate how different variables affect the flow velocity and temperature fields. This offers comprehensive insights into MHD flow behavior and its interactions with the magnetic field, heat flux, viscous dissipation, and heat generation. The findings hold significance for engineering applications concerning fluid dynamics and heat transfer, offering valuable knowledge in this field. The study concludes that the transient velocity and temperature profiles exhibit periodic patterns under periodic heat flow conditions.A temperature reduction is observed with an increase in the wall temperature phase angle. In contrast,an increase in the heat flux phase angle values raises the temperature values.

文摘The present investigation centers on the impact of viscous dissipation and ohmic heating on the plume generated by a line heat source under the impact of an aligned magnetic field. In this study, the flow model is adapted to incorporate ohmic heating and viscous dissipation by including the respective terms in the energy equation.A mathematical model is formulated as a system of coupled partial differential equations to analyze the flow problem.Subsequently,a numerical solution is derived with stream function formulation for the system of coupled partial differential equations, which transmutes it into ordinary differential equations. To achieve this, the numerical properties of the problem are established through the utilization of the Shooting method in tandem with the MATLAB tool bvp4c.The graphical representations of both missing and specified boundary conditions depict the effects of the magnetic parameter, viscous dissipation variable, magnetic force parameter,Prandtl number, and magnetic Prandtl number. These are accompanied by a discussion of their respective physical implications. The observed results claimed that the velocity, current density, and temperature distribution decrease for enhancing magnetic parameters.Meanwhile, the skin friction and magnetic flux drop while the heat transfer rate increases with an increment in magnetic parameters. These fluid flow and heat transfer characteristics were observed to decrease for increasing viscous dissipation. The current work is novel in incorporating ohmic heating viscous dissipation in energy equations coupled with Max-well and magnetic induction equations.
文摘This study examines the effects of heat, mass, and boundary layer assumptions-based nanoparticle characteristics on the hybrid effects of using MHD in conjunction with mixed convective flow through a sloped vertical pore plate in the existence of medium of porous. However, it also raises the local Sherwood and Nusselt numbers and reduces the local skin friction coefficient.

文摘Based on the bulging principle of different ellipticity dies, the methyl vinyl silicone rubber with excellent thermal stability and heat transfer performance was chosen as the viscous medium. Meanwhile, according to the FLD, the relationship between part complexity and ultimate deformation was investigated.

文摘The operator splitting method is used to deal with the Navier-Stokes equation, in which the physical process described by the equation is decomposed into two processes: a diffusion process and a convection process; and the finite element equation is established. The velocity field in the element is described by the shape function of the isoparametric element with nine nodes and the pressure field is described by the interpolation function of the four nodes at the vertex of the isoparametric element with nine nodes. The subroutine of the element and the integrated finite element code are generated by the Finite Element Program Generator (FEPG) successfully. The numerical simulation about the incompressible viscous liquid flowing over a cylinder is carded out. The solution agrees with the experimental results very well.
