A 5-tuple based semantic information retrieval model is proposed, which includes the interoperation on the semantic layer, and a test process is given for this model. The recall ratio and the precision ratio of manufacturing knowledge retrieval are proved to be greatly improved by evaluation. Thus, a practical and reliable approach based on the semantic web is provided for solving the correlated concrete problems in regional networked manufacturing.展开更多

For building the successful web retrieval search engine model, there ar...The information access is the rich data available for information retrieval, evolved to provide principle approaches or strategies for searching. For building the successful web retrieval search engine model, there are a number of prospects that arise at the different levels where techniques, such as Usenet, support vector machine are employed to have a significant impact. The present investigations explore the number of problems identified its level and related to finding information on web. The authors have attempted to examine the issues and prospects by applying different methods such as web graph analysis, the retrieval and analysis of newsgroup postings and statistical methods for inferring meaning in text. The proposed model thus assists the users in finding the existing formation of data they need. The study proposes three heuristics model to characterize the balancing between query and feedback information, so that adaptive relevance feedback. The authors have made an attempt to discuss the parameter factors that are responsible for the efficient searching. The important parameters can be taken care of for the future extension or development of search engines.展开更多

In order to solve the problem, a method for personalized web image retrieval based on user interest model is proposed. Firstly, the formalized definition of user interest model is provided. Then the user interest model combines the methods of explicit tracking and implicit tracking to improve user’s interest information and provide personalized web image retrieval. The drastic growth of coastal observation sensors results in copious data that provide weather information.The intricacies in sensor-generated big data are heterogeneity and interpretation,driving high-end Information...The drastic growth of coastal observation sensors results in copious data that provide weather information.The intricacies in sensor-generated big data are heterogeneity and interpretation,driving high-end Information Retrieval(IR)systems.The Semantic Web(SW)can solve this issue by integrating data into a single platform for information exchange and knowledge retrieval.This paper focuses on exploiting the SWbase systemto provide interoperability through ontologies by combining the data concepts with ontology classes.This paper presents a 4-phase weather data model:data processing,ontology creation,SW processing,and query engine.The developed Oceanographic Weather Ontology helps to enhance data analysis,discovery,IR,and decision making.In addition to that,it also evaluates the developed ontology with other state-of-the-art ontologies.The proposed ontology’s quality has improved by 39.28%in terms of completeness,and structural complexity has decreased by 45.29%,11%and 37.7%in Precision and Accuracy.Indian Meteorological Satellite INSAT-3D’s ocean data is a typical example of testing the proposed model.The experimental result shows the effectiveness of the proposed data model and its advantages in machine understanding and IR.展开更多

The IIRSS, with a three-layer architecture, can cooperate with other application servers running in Intranet. By using intelligent agents to collect information and to create indexes on the-fly, using an access control strategy to confine a user to browsing those accessible documents for him/her through a single portal, and using a new cross-lingual translation tool to help the search engine retrieve documents, the new system provides controllable information access with different authorizations, personalized services, and real-time information retrieval.展开更多
