China’s Western Development Strategy for Modernization Drive

The Western Development Strategy(WDS)is a key aspect of China’s coordinated regional development strategy and effort to build a modern country.The world is undergoing profound changes that have not been witnessed in a century.This paper discusses the WDS’s importance in regards to China’s modernization drive and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.First,this paper identifies the WDS’s mission to improve people’s livelihood in China’s western regions,promote common prosperity for the Eurasian continent,and support the green transition of China’s and Eurasian energy economic and environmental systems,and safeguard ecological security in Asia at large.Second,this paper suggests that the key to the WDS is to reshape the geographical layout of economic activity in the western regions to avoid inefficiency.Specifically,China should develop a compact geographical layout of economic activity in the western regions,introduce a unique competition strategy,as well as find solutions for coordinated regional development based on key river basins.Finally,develop smart internet and inland free ports within the western regions.

Analysis on Modernization and Westernization

The differences between modernization and westernization are am biguous,since they share a dialectical relationship. In addition we can best express these differences from an affirm ative point of view and a negative point of view. Affirm atively,westernization stem s from Europe,and the core of modernization is the western civilization. It was the occident that completed the modernization process,and the progress of the world modernization is the expansion of the occidental modern civilization. Negatively,modernization is a value free concept,and the westernization or Europeanization is a concept with strong value orientation. Although modernization stems from Europe,the occidental civilization is not created by westerners alone. Instead,it comes from the long developm ent and integration of human civilization. The mode of the occidental modernization is not completed yet and needs more explorations and adjustm ents. It seem s that the modernization process is the global expansion of the occidental modern civilization,but as the scale of modernization grows,it will involve more countries with more different characteristics,and it will become further and further from the westernization or Europeanization.

Structural Styles of Fronts of Thrust-Detachment Faults in Petroleum-bearing Areas of Western China

The front of a thrust-detachment fault may have various styles such as decoupling, fold, forethrust and backthrust ones because of differences in magnitude, direction and time of the forces exerted on the fault and the inhomogeneity of rock mechanical properties. They have different characteristics and are usually associated with gravity structure, inverse structure and diapir structure. These structures exist together in the same thrust-detachment fault and can influence, compensate for and convert into each other. They provide important grounds not only for the study of the dynamic state, propagation mode, evolutionary process and formation mechanism but also for the analysis of the petroleum generation, migration, accumulation and preservation and arrangement of drill holes in foreland basins.

Influence of Chinese and Western Culture on Modern Church Architecture in Yan’an Area

Based on the historical records and field investigation, this paper aims at elaborating the architectural styles, interior space design and architectural landscape of modern church architecture in Yan’an, analyzing the influence of Chinese and western culture on modern church architecture in Yan’an and expounding the historical and cultural value as church architecture, which will play a great role in the protection, inheritance and utilization of modern architecture in Yan’an area.

Comparison Research on the Chinese Traditional Art Style and Western Country＇s Abstract Art Style： A Theoretical Review

In this paper, we conduct literature review and research on the Chinese traditional art style and western country＇ s abstract art style. Modernism art forms from concrete to abstract is a process of constant evolution, it is to find new pictures to present, to get rid of the bondage of traditional art concept to go on process. Any forward art could not avoid broke away from the traditional thinking, in the process of the old ideas and new concepts of conflict is inevitable. Therefore, corresponding research is urgent needed. The comparison result proves the intuition that both traditional Chinese culture and western culture based art design have their own spark points.

The Dissemination, Influence, and Reception of the Modern Western Translation Theories in China

Modern Western translation theories have exerted a great influence upon the Chinese translation fields. The author of the present paper believes that science has no boundaries and nationality. It is advisable and necessary to learn and absorb what we do not know and then make the best use of the knowledge. The author tries to analyze what the western translation theories have brought to us, the advantages and disadvantage of them, and finally put forward the possible attitude we may take to the western translation theories.

Consumption Motivation and Behavior of College Students in Western-style Fast Food Restaurants on Campus

Based on the questionnaire survey data of college students in Wuhan,this paper studied the motivation of consumption behavior of college students in western-style fast food restaurants on campus,and built a relationship model for consumption motivation and behavior. The results indicate that the consumption motivation of college students in western-style fast food restaurants includes six types: social motivation,conformity motivation,show-off motivation,self-hedonic motivation,quality-pursuing motivation,and self-gift giving motivation. The overall characteristics of college students' consumption behavior in western-style fast food restaurants include six characteristics: consumption period,consumption frequency,ways of information access,consumption amount,product preference,and consumption willingness. There are significant differences in the consumption behavior between different college students. Different college students are different in consumption period,consumption frequency,ways of information access,consumption amount,product preference,and consumption willingness. Based on the above results,it came up with pertinent marketing recommendations.

The Impact of Western Scholars on the Music Education of the Jingpo Ethnic Group in Yunnan,China

This research attempts to uncover the influence of Western scholars’activities on music education in the Jingpo areas of Dehong Dai-Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture in western Yunnan,China,during the early 20th century.The differences exist in the cultures,languages,and beliefs of the various ethnic groups in Yunnan.As such,systematic basic education is difficult to carry out in order,especially music education.However,this phenomenon changed in the early 20th century with the arrival of Western scholars.This study will analyze existing literature and data collected in fieldwork to trace the origins of Western music education in the Jingpo areas.In addition,the study intends to explore the localized and modernized music education model used by Western scholars for Jingpo.Furthermore,this research may help broaden the understanding of minority communities to the development of music education policies that precede the implementation of regulations.Additionally,it seeks to raise awareness of the music of ethnic minority groups worldwide and to achieve equality of musical education resources in ethnic minority areas as much as possible.

近5年油腻型头皮脂溢性皮炎的研究进展

脂溢性皮炎是发生在皮脂腺丰富部位的慢性、复发性、炎症性皮肤病,多发于头面部,若发于头部则称为“头皮脂溢性皮炎”。油腻型头皮脂溢性皮炎以头发油腻多脂、瘙痒起白屑为主要特征,因此临床见头发油腻兼其他症状者,可参照此病论治。头发油腻发亮极大程度地影响了人们的外在形象,故此病的治疗受到了广泛的关注。文章整理近5年油腻型头皮脂溢性皮炎治疗的相关文献,从现代医学、中医学、中西医结合以及日常清洁控油护理的角度,总结其研究进展。

习近平文化思想指引中华民族现代文明建设的价值意蕴

British Missionary Timothy Richard and Chinese Modern Education

British missionary Timothy Richard came to China, actuated by preaching the Gospel and expanding the sphere of Christian influence. Considering some complex reasons for history, civilization, ideology and custom etc, he paid attention to secular education as well as doing missionary work to attain his Christian goal. He laid much stress on the function of education, so he proposed Chinese government should set up Educational Department. In the late Qing Dynasty, he participated in the organization and management of Shanxi Imperial University. Under the circumstances of modern times of China, when it was in the grip of national crisis, and the contradictory between China and foreign countries was acute and complicated, all the work he had done exerted objective influences in many aspects. While it reflected the strong semi—colonial character in modernization of Chinese education, it had some positive effect as well.

新质生产力:中国式现代化的新动能与新路径

纵观西方现代化和中国式现代化的历史进程,生产力的持续发展是现代化的共同特征。人类历史上每一次生产力的重大跃升都以一系列开创性的科学发现和技术突破为先导,因而科技创新是社会生产力发展的关键因素。随着新一轮科技革命和产业变革的孕育兴起,新质生产力将取代传统生产力,成为推动中国式现代化的重要力量。新质生产力是以科技创新为主导,实现关键性、颠覆性技术突破的生产力,本质上是社会生产力的一次重大跃升。发展新质生产力是推动高质量发展的内在要求和重要着力点,亦是中国式现代化的必然选择。加快形成新质生产力以推进中国式现代化,应在宏观层面坚持市场与政府有机结合,使二者协力推动科技创新;应在中观层面培育战略性新兴产业和未来产业,增强发展新动能;应在微观层面坚持“两个毫不动摇”,激发各类创新主体活力。

新质生产力发展水平、区域差异与提升路径

2023年9月,习近平总书记在黑龙江省考察调研期间强调了“新质生产力”这一重要概念,新质生产力是创新起主导作用,摆脱传统经济增长方式、生产力发展路径,具有高科技、高效能、高质量特征,符合新发展理念的先进生产力质态。新质生产力的提出具有全新的理论内涵和丰富的现实价值,结合习近平总书记的相关重要论述和当前中国经济发展事实,文章认为新质生产力是一个至少涵盖科技、绿色和数字三大方面的集成体,并基于科技生产力、绿色生产力和数字生产力3个一级指标构建了新质生产力的综合评价体系。文章采用改进的熵权-TOPSIS方法测度了2012—2021年我国30个省级区域的新质生产力水平,测度结果表明,我国新质生产力水平由2012年的0.302 6上升到2021年的0.874 7,年均增速为21%,对应的,科技生产力、绿色生产力和数字生产力的水平也稳步上升。研究发现,针对不同区域,东部地区新质生产力水平不仅增速最快,总量也高于中西部地区,中部地区新质生产力水平高于西部地区,但增速低于西部地区;针对具体省份,新质生产力形成了广东省和江苏省“双雁领航”断层式发展格局,不同省份之间的差距极大,反映了中国新质生产力水平的区域异质性。进一步研究,Kernel密度估计和Markov链分析结果表明,一方面我国省际新质生产力水平的差距有逐渐拉大趋势,但这一趋势主要存在于个别新质生产力发达和落后的省份之间,大部分中间省份差异不明显,且新质生产力发展存在俱乐部趋同现象,新质生产力发达省份之间的趋同现象更为明显;另一方面,新质生产力发展具有明显的空间外溢效应,在与邻近省份的新质生产力水平存在差异的情况下,本省的新质生产力将会受到邻近省份的影响。新质生产力水平的基尼系数计算及其分解结果表明,区域间差异是全国新质生产力发展不平衡的主要原因,也就是说当下导致新质生产力水平差异的主要原因是地区间的发展不平衡。针对上述问题,提升新质生产力的发展路径应该着重从统筹区域联动合作促进平衡发展,加大对新质生产力发展的引导力度,在新质生产力构成的三大指标上进行新部署等方面展开。

中国式现代化背景下西部农村学前教育高质量发展的困境与纾解

西部农村学前教育高质量发展对建设教育强国、推进中国式现代化具有重要意义。理论上,中国式现代化从普惠性教育、整体性思维、内涵式发展、共生型主张、前瞻性布局五个维度为农村学前教育高质量发展指明了方向。实践上,通过对我国西部70所农村幼儿园的大规模调研发现,在中国式现代化进程中,我国学前教育整体取得了跨越式发展,但西部农村学前教育仍面临规模与质量协同的“困顿”、教育资源供给与需求的“错配”、园本课程特色与底色的“迷失”、教师专业发展能动与被动的“纠葛”、教育督导与评估机制的“乏力”等困境。为此,有必要建立“量质并举”的教育质量观,顺应人口变动,合理调控教育资源,坚持乡土特色与课程底色并重,构建以教师为核心的“1+3+N”育人新格局,加强数字化教育质量评估体系建设。

中国式现代化与绿色发展

中国式现代化是人与自然和谐共生的现代化,绿色发展是其显著特征和突出品质。中国积极推进生态环境建设,人与自然的关系相应地从生态赤字缓慢扩大期、生态赤字快速扩大期、再进入生态赤字缩小期、局部生态盈余期,未来将转向生态盈余期。党的十八大以来,中国生态文明建设在生态环境质量改善、生态保护修复、绿色低碳转型、全球生态治理贡献、中国特色制度体系创新等方面发生了历史性、转折性、全局性变化,但生态环境保护仍面临基础性问题,结构性压力、根源性压力、趋势性压力尚未根本缓解。为此,中国必须坚持长期主义,避免短期机会主义,坚持绿色增长,追求绿色发展的长期价值,并以绿色发展推进人与自然和谐共生现代化,即高质量发展与高水平保护统筹推进,整体推进与重点攻坚协同并进,科技创新与制度创新双轮驱动,正向激励与反向倒逼双向发力,多元参与与协同治理并行不悖,实践探索和经验总结紧密结合。

陆地边境口岸在中国式现代化建设中的功能

陆地边境口岸及其所在九省区是实现中国式现代化不可或缺的组成部分,具有极其重要的功能作用。其重要性主要表现在:陆地边境口岸是体现中国式现代化成果的展示窗口;中国陆地边境口岸的现代化能够体现中国式现代化的突出特征;陆地边境口岸所在边境九省区的现代化程度较低,影响和降低整体中国式现代化的速度和水平。其功能作用主要表现在:陆地边境所在省区和所有民众为中国式现代化提供了不可或缺的资源与力量;与东部省区水运口岸相比,陆地边境口岸及其所在省区的现代化在共同富裕方面发挥着不可替代的作用;与14个国家相邻的中国陆地边境口岸所在省区的现代化在与周边国家建立命运共同体过程中发挥着不可忽视的作用;中国式现代化建设的物质和精神成果通过99个边境口岸向外传播,体现中华文化包容和谐的价值观念。中国陆地边境口岸的现代化仍然有提升的空间,从战略层面来说,实施提升管控与开放相结合的边境管理模式;在持续推进边境现代化过程中传播中国式现代化理念、模式和效能;从实践层面来说,加快中国陆地边境口岸基础设施现代化建设;保持口岸所在边境省区人与自然和谐发展的农牧业发展;促进中国陆地边境口岸贸易现代化建设;加强以国门为核心的中华文化建设;深化中国边境口岸与对应国口岸的合作。
