These wild wet-water herbs are a dominant group that adapts to local growth through long-term natural selection. They have strong resistance, low maintenance cost and broad application prospects. However, at present, these plants are basically in the natural growth state, and have not been developed artificially. This study aims to provide reference for the design of wetland parks and to show the local characteristics of Hefei through the investigation of wild water-wet herbs in Hefei area.展开更多

This work was aimed to revise the traditional way of hot water extraction to the fermenta...Eighty sorts of herbs were fermented by Lactobaccilli (f-ESH). This material was proved by as safe in animal safety experiment. This work was aimed to revise the traditional way of hot water extraction to the fermentation, in order to use up the original material and searching new activity as well. We tried to prove the new activity by fermentation for immune-competent cells in the host that administrated both of original remedy and the new fermented sample. In rodents, immune-compromised host was prepared with cancer chemotherapeutic agent. Our observations showed that the antigen stimulated animal increased the antibody producing cell for heterologous erythrocyte by compromised host by f-ESH. Moreover, by administration of f-ESH to immno-suppressed hosts, these samples regulated lymphocyte in number and functions, macrophage activities, and regulating anti-oxidative activity by phagocytic cells. The anti-oxidative assay was carried out ex-vivo system by peritoneal excaudate cell that we propose as suitable system for evaluating antioxidative assay. With these evidences, the original COF only augmented the level of lymphocytes in number, while f-ESH regulated the ratio of granulocytes and lymphocyte. In clinical study with 20 healthy volunteers, granulocyte and lymphocyte ratio was also resulted as neutral in peripheral white blood cells, 1, 2 and 3 weeks after the administration of f-ESH. We discussed the significance and mechanism of cleving complement components Fb by f-ESH in this text. Fb. The new cleavage of complement was directly evident by immune-electrophoretic method. In conclusion, this modification of food materials introduced new style of food intake resulted in the significant regulation such as antibody producing cells and anti-oxidative activity for phagocytic cells comparing traditional processing by hot water extraction.展开更多

[Results]The lowest content of total saponins from cultivated and wild Paris herbs in Southwest China was0. 55%,while the maximum was 12. 24%,with obvious difference. Total saponins from Paris herbs had stronger clearance ability on free radical DPPH and stronger reduction ability on Fe^(3+),and the results showed good dose-effect relationship with concentration. Among them,S6 had the highest clearance ability on DPPH,which reached 89. 66%. In the determination of reduction ability,the absorbance of S16 reached3. 643 and was the highest,with very good reducing property. Content and anti-oxidation capacity of total saponins from Paris herbs in Southwest China did not have obvious correlation with production place,altitude and cultivation but was related to variety. [Conclusions]The quality of Paris herbs in Southwest China was unstable,and their anti-oxidation abilities were also different,and cultivation could not guarantee high quality. The results showed th...The antioxidant ingredients in Silene conoidea L., Malcolmia africana (L.) R. Br., Capsella bursa-pastoris (L.) Medic., Lycium barbarum L. and Kalimeris indica (L.) Sch.-Bip. were analysed. The results showed that S. conoidea, K. indica and L. barbarum contain the largest quantities of GSH (1.70 mg·g-1),Vc (3.94 mg·g-1) and soluble sugar (2.99 mg·g-1) respectively. The activity of SOD was the highest in S. conoidea (350.29 U·g-1), POD and CAT activities in C. bursa-pastoris were the highest (2 433.5 ΔA\-(470)·g-1 and 252.82 μmol·g-1). The capacity of total antioxidant in K. indica was the strongest.展开更多
