The learner blog is adopted in the instruction of CALL-based Practical English Writing course for A-level non-Eng lish major sophomores in our school in the spring this year.After examining how the program is implemen...The learner blog is adopted in the instruction of CALL-based Practical English Writing course for A-level non-Eng lish major sophomores in our school in the spring this year.After examining how the program is implemented in detail,sugges tions are provided for future instructors in this related program.To ensure the program a good start,it is advisable for instructors to set aside a certain time to help each student to create a blog account in the beginning.Besides,it is requisite to provide stu dents with blogs titles with elaborate design and with the evaluation and further comment of the blog in the course of face-toface communication.Using of blogs in CALL-based Practical English Course is helpful in improving students'writing quality,in gearing up self-introspection for participants,in creating cooperative learning community,in fostering autonomous learning and cooperative learning,in building up communicative channels between students and instructors and among students themselves.展开更多
Walsh-Hadamard transform （WriT） can solve linear error equations on Field F2, and the method can be used to recover the parameters of convolutional code. However, solving the equations with many unknowns needs enorm...Walsh-Hadamard transform （WriT） can solve linear error equations on Field F2, and the method can be used to recover the parameters of convolutional code. However, solving the equations with many unknowns needs enormous computer memory which limits the application of WriT. In order to solve this problem, a method based on segmented WriT is proposed in this paper. The coefficient vector of high dimension is reshaped and two vectors of lower dimension are obtained. Then the WriT is operated and the requirement for computer memory is much reduced. The code rate and the constraint length of convolutional code are detected from the Walsh spectrum. And the check vector is recovered from the peak position. The validity of the method is verified by the simulation result, and the performance is proved to be optimal.展开更多

It has been argued that the legality of the writ of diem clausit extremum can be attributed to Magna Carta.In fact,the legal relationship between the writ and Magna Carta is still problematic in the English official d...It has been argued that the legality of the writ of diem clausit extremum can be attributed to Magna Carta.In fact,the legal relationship between the writ and Magna Carta is still problematic in the English official documents.Few scholars,domestically and internationally,focus on the topic which has constitutional significance in English legal history.My research on the topic is divided into four parts.In the first part,I will introduce and review the research background of the topic.It indicates that almost nobody recently shows any interest in the special topic except for Margaret McGlynn,who touched upon the topic in her book on royal prerogatives.In the second part,I would like to locate the topic in the English official documents and to search out the uncertain and discrepant parts that need resolving.In the third part,I will try to define and classify the writ of diem clausit extremum,and individually to trace back to its different legal foundations and legality.Finally,a brief conclusion will be given.It is concluded that the writ of diem clausit extremum is one of the royal prerogative writs,and has two different types,i.e.the Chancery writ and the Exchequer writ.The Chancery writ is not closely related with Magna Carta,while the Exchequer writ is undoubtedly founded on Magna Carta.Actually these different legality of the writ of diem clausit extremum can be attributed to the changing relationship between the common law and the statute law.展开更多
The popularity and wide use of smartphones have led to an increase in the debate on the procedure relating to their investigation and search.We should not neglect the protection of citizens’privacy concerning the con...The popularity and wide use of smartphones have led to an increase in the debate on the procedure relating to their investigation and search.We should not neglect the protection of citizens’privacy concerning the content of their smartphones since they contain so much personal information.In 2014,the United States(US)Supreme Court addressed two cases,Riley v.California and US v.Wurie,which dealt with smartphone searches and the search incident to arrest exception to the warrant requirement.Police must obtain a warrant when they want to search for evidence in the smartphone of a potential suspect.However,there are exceptions to this requirement:emergencies and exigent circumstances;the consent to search exception;and the“plain view”exception.The procedural law of China contains no legal regulations on smartphone searches.Therefore,we should establish the principles of smartphone searches to strike a balance between the protection of citizens’privacy and the punishment of crime.It is helpful for us to learn from the experience of the US and other countries and limit warrantless searches,improve the writ principles and clarify the scope and procedure of smartphone searches.It is also important to establish corresponding procedural sanctioning and supervisory mechanisms.展开更多
