First, the reason behind the negative data is analyzed and a nonnegative constraint is imposed on the classic PCA. Then a set of nonnegative linear independence weight vectors of principal components is obtained, by which a lowdimensional space is constructed. Finally, a nonlinear optimization technique is used to determine the projection vectors of the high-dimensional multi-spectral data in the constructed space. Experimental results show that the proposed method can keep the reconstructed spectral data in [ 0, 1 ]. The precision of the space created by the proposed method is equivalent to or even higher than that by the PCA.展开更多

Among the numerous methods for predicting fatigue life, the spectral method is accepted as the most reliable. Although the theory behind spectral analysis is straight-forward, the analysis itself is complicated and time-consuming because it is closely related to critical technical details such as the application of fatigue loading (wave pressures and the inertial forces due to cargoes), the extraction of the stress, and the calculation of stress RAO. Here, four key technical details-loading application, displacement boundary condition, the calculation of stress RAO, and the extraction of the fatigue stress-are discussed thoroughly. For each aspect, a resolution is presented based on the finite element pre-and post-processing software MSC/PATRAN or FE solver MSC/NASTRAN. The resolutions are effective and efficient, which can help engineers perform spectral fatigue analysis accurately and faster.展开更多

To quantify the mineral dissemination and pore space distribution of an ore particle, a cylindrical copper oxide ore sample (I center dot 4.6 mm x 5.6 mm) was scanned using high-resolution X-ray computed tomography (HRXCT), a nondestructive imaging technology, at a spatial resolution of 4.85 mu m. Combined with three-dimensional (3D) image analysis techniques, the main mineral phases and pore space were segmented and the volume fraction of each phase was calculated. In addition, the mass fraction of each mineral phase was estimated and the result was validated with that obtained using traditional techniques. Furthermore, the pore phase features, including the pore size distribution, pore surface area, pore fractal dimension, pore centerline, and the pore connectivity, were investigated quantitatively. The pore space analysis results indicate that the pore size distribution closely fits a log-normal distribution and that the pore space morphology is complicated, with a large surface area and low connectivity. This study demonstrates that the combination of HRXCT and 3D image analysis is an effective tool for acquiring 3D mineralogical and pore structural data.展开更多

In this paper another method, wavelet transform (WT), is applied to 'analyze the data of short length. The Morlet wavelet is employed to calculate the spectra density functions for wave records and simulated Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessels' responses. Computed wave data include simulated wave data based on JONSWAP spectrum and the recorded data of Storm 149 from North Alwyn. Wavelet method is validated by comparing the statistical characteristics by WF method and those by fast Fourier transform (FFT) method with those of target spectra. The spectral density fnnctions' shapes calculated by WT are less malformed and have less error of statistical characteristics compared with those by FT especially when the record lengths decrease.展开更多

A variety of analytical parameters and functions to describe the features of the fluorescence spectra of pure elements are used and established, such as the mass absorption coefficient, the Gi factor, and fundamental fluorescence formulas. The FSLS iterative program was compiled in the C language. The content of each component should reach the convergence criterion at the end of the calculations. After a basic theory analysis and experimental preparation, 13 national standard soil samples were detected using a spectrometer to test the feasibility of using the algorithm. The results show that the calculated contents of Ti, Fe, Ni, Cu, and Zn have the same changing tendency as the corresponding standard content in the 13 reference samples. Accuracies of 0.35% and 14.03% are obtained, respectively, for Fe and Ti, whose standard concentrations are 8.82% and 0.578%, respectively. However, the calculated results of trace elements (only tens of lg/g) deviate from the standard values. This may be because of measurement accuracy and mutual effects between the elements.展开更多

This method can obtain the multi-peak match intensity ratio among each phase in the mixture sample by using all diffraction peak data in the mixture sample X-ray diffraction spectrum and combining the relative intensity distribution data of each phase standard peak in JCPDS card to carry on the least square method regression analysis. It is benefit to improve the precision of quantitative phase analysis that the given single line ratio which is usually adopted is taken the place of the multi-peak match intensity ratio and is used in X-ray diffraction quantitative phase analysis of the mixture sample. By analyzing four-group mixture sample, adopting multi-peak match intensity ratio and X-ray diffraction quantitative phase analysis principle of combining the adiabatic and matrix flushing method, it is tested that the experimental results are identical with theory.展开更多

文摘In order to overcome the shortcomings that the reconstructed spectral reflectance may be negative when using the classic principal component analysis (PCA)to reduce the dimensions of the multi-spectral data, a nonnegative constrained principal component analysis method is proposed to construct a low-dimensional multi-spectral space and accomplish the conversion between the new constructed space and the multispectral space. The precision of the space created by the proposed method is equivalent to or even higher than that by the PCA.

文摘Synchrotron polychromatic X-ray microdiffraction(micro-XRD) was applied to study in situ deformation twinning of commercially AZ31(Mg-3Al-1Zn) strip subjected to uniaxial tension. The morphology and growth of twins were analyzed in situ under the load level from 64 to 73 MPa.The X-ray microdiffraction data, collected on beamline 12.3.2 at the Advanced Light Source, were then used to map an area of 396μm x 200μm within the region of interest. The experimental set-up and X-ray diffraction microscopy with a depth resolution allow the position and orientation of each illuminated grain to be determined at the submicron size.A list of parent grains sorted by crystallographic orientation were selected to examine their twinning behavior. The results depict twin variant selection, local misorientation fluctuation and mosaic spread for multi-twins within the same parent grain. As load increases, the amplitude of misorientation fluctuation along twin trace keeps increasing. This is attributable to the accumulation of geometrically necessary dislocations.

文摘The spectral methods and ice-induced fatigue analysis are discussed based on Miner's linear cumulative fatigue hypothesis and S-N curve data. According to the long-term data of full-scale tests on the platforms in the Bohai Sea, the ice force spectrum of conical structures and the fatigue environmental model are established. Moreover, the finite element model of JZ20-2MSW platform, an example of ice-induced fatigue analysis, is built with ANSYS software. The mode analysis and dynamic analysis in frequency domain under all kinds of ice fatigue work conditions are carded on, and the fatigue life of the structure is estimated in detail. The methods in this paper can be helpful in ice-induced fatigue analysis of ice-resistant platforms.

文摘A method was developed for content determination of Na, Mg, A1, Si, P,S, C1, K, Ca, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Ni, Cu, Zn, Ga, Nb, Zr, Y, Sr, Rb, Ba, La and Ce etc. covering 26 major, minor, and trace elements in marine sediment samples using fused glass disc by X-ray Fluorescence spectrometry. Calibration was made using marine sediment certified reference materials and the synthetic standard samples prepared by mixing several marine sediments with stream sediment and carbonate standard samples in different proportions. The matrix effect was corrected using theoretical alpha coefficients, experience coefficients and the scattered radiation as the internal standard (for the trace elements). The accuracy of the method was evaluated by analysis of certified reference materials GBW07314, GBW07334 and GSMS6. The results are in good agreement with the certified values of the standards with RSD less than 2.60%, except for Y, Cr, Ga, Ce, La, Nb, Rb, and V with RSD less than 9.0% (n=12).

文摘Although laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy(LIBS),as a fast on-line analysis technology, has great potential and competitiveness in the analysis of chemical composition and proximate analysis results of coal in thermal power plants, the measurement repeatability of LIBS needs to be further improved due to the difficulty in controlling the stability of the generated plasmas at present. In this paper,we propose a novel x-ray fluorescence(XRF) assisted LIBS method for high repeatability analysis of coal quality, which not only inherits the ability of LIBS to directly analyze organic elements such as C and H in coal, but also uses XRF to make up for the lack of stability of LIBS in determining other inorganic ash-forming elements. With the combination of elemental lines in LIBS and XRF spectra, the principal component analysis and the partial least squares are used to establish the prediction model and perform multi-elemental and proximate analysis of coal.Quantitative analysis results show that the relative standard deviation(RSD) of C is 0.15%,the RSDs of other elements are less than 4%,and the standard deviations of calorific value, ash content, sulfur content and volatile matter are 0.11 MJ kg,0.17%,0.79% and 0.41%respectively,indicating that the method has good repeatability in determination of coal quality. This work is helpful to accelerate the development of LIBS in the field of rapid measurement of coal entering the power plant and on-line monitoring of coal entering the furnace.

文摘Response spectral moments are useful for system reliability analysis.Usually, spectral mo- ments are calculated by the frequency domain method.Based on the time domain modal analysis of random vibrations, the authors present a new method for calculating response spectral moments through response correlation functions. The method can be applied to both classical and non-classical damping cases and to three kinds of random excitations,i.e.,white noise,band-limited white noise, and filtered white noise.
文摘Fatigue failure has long been an important issue for ships and offshore structures. The resolutions are effective and efficient, which can help engineers perform spectral fatigue analysis accurately and faster.

文摘A technique for timescale analysis of spectral lags performed directly in the time domain is developed. Simulation studies are made to compare the time domain technique with the Fourier frequency analysis for spectral time lags. The time domain technique is applied to studying rapid variabilities of X-ray binaries and γ-ray bursts. The results indicate that in comparison with the Fourier analysis the timescale analysis technique is more powerful for the study of spectral lags in rapid variabilities on short time scales and short duration flaring phenomena.

文摘Mineral dissemination and pore space distribution in ore particles are important features that influence heap leaching performance. This study demonstrates that the combination of HRXCT and 3D image analysis is an effective tool for acquiring 3D mineralogical and pore structural data.
文摘Fourier transform (FF) is a commonly used method in spectral analysis of ocean wave and offshore structure responses, but it is not suitable for records of short length. The spectral density fnnctions' shapes calculated by WT are less malformed and have less error of statistical characteristics compared with those by FT especially when the record lengths decrease.

文摘The full-spectrum least-squares(FSLS) method is introduced to perform quantitative energy-dispersive X-ray fluorescence analysis for unknown solid samples.Based on the conventional least-squares principle, this spectrum evaluation method is able to obtain the background-corrected and interference-free net peaks, which is significant for quantization analyses. This may be because of measurement accuracy and mutual effects between the elements.
文摘A new method for quantitative phase analysis is proposed by using X-ray diffraction multi-peak match intensity ratio. By analyzing four-group mixture sample, adopting multi-peak match intensity ratio and X-ray diffraction quantitative phase analysis principle of combining the adiabatic and matrix flushing method, it is tested that the experimental results are identical with theory.

文摘Traditional unsupervised seismic facies analysis techniques need to assume that seismic data obey mixed Gaussian distribution. However,fi eld seismic data may not meet this condition, thereby leading to wrong classifi cation in the application of this technology. This paper introduces a spectral clustering technique for unsupervised seismic facies analysis. This algorithm is based on on the idea of a graph to cluster the data. Its kem is that seismic data are regarded as points in space, points can be connected with the edge and construct to graphs. When the graphs are divided, the weights of the edges between the different subgraphs are as low as possible, whereas the weights of the inner edges of the subgraph should be as high as possible. That has high computational complexity and entails large memory consumption for spectral clustering algorithm. To solve the problem this paper introduces the idea of sparse representation into spectral clustering.Through the selection of a small number of local sparse representation points, the spectral clustering matrix of all sample points is approximately represented to reduce the cost of spectral clustering operation.Verifi cation of physical model and fi eld data shows that the proposed approach can obtain more accurate seismic facies classification results without considering the data meet any hypothesis. The computing efficiency of this new method is better than that of the conventional spectral clustering method, thereby meeting the application needs of fi eld seismic data.
