Comparing Xi'an and Baoji Dialects in Guanzhong—How Mandarin Influences Two Dialects

As the main components of Northwestern mandarin,Xi'an dialect and Baoji dialect share similarities and disparities in many aspects.By making comparisons between Xi'an and Baoji dialects in terms of lexicon and syntax,this paper observes how mandarin has exerted impact on the two dialects above and finds out that Xi'an dialect is influenced more deeply by mandarin than Baoji dialect.

Dialectical Thermodynamics’Solution to the Conceptual Imbroglio That Is the Reversible Path

According to the second law of thermodynamics, as currently understood, any given transit of a system along the reversible path proceeds with a total entropy change equal to zero. The fact that this condition is also the identifier of thermodynamic equilibrium, makes each and every point along the reversible path a state of equilibrium, and the reversible path, as expressed by a noted thermodynamic author, “a dense succession of equilibrium states”. The difficulties with these notions are plural. The fact, for example, that systems need to be forced out of equilibrium via the expenditure of work, would make any spontaneous reversible process a consumer of work, this in opposition to common thermodynamic wisdom that makes spontaneous reversible processes the most efficient transformers of work-producing-potential into actual work. The solution to this and other related impasses is provided by Dialectical Thermodynamics via its previously proved notion assigning a negative entropy change to the energy upgrading process represented by the transformation of heat into work. The said solution is here exemplified with the ideal-gas phase isomerization of butane into isobutane.

Arabic Dialect Identification in Social Media:A Comparative Study of Deep Learning and Transformer Approaches

Arabic dialect identification is essential in Natural Language Processing(NLP)and forms a critical component of applications such as machine translation,sentiment analysis,and cross-language text generation.The difficulties in differentiating between Arabic dialects have garnered more attention in the last 10 years,particularly in social media.These difficulties result from the overlapping vocabulary of the dialects,the fluidity of online language use,and the difficulties in telling apart dialects that are closely related.Managing dialects with limited resources and adjusting to the ever-changing linguistic trends on social media platforms present additional challenges.A strong dialect recognition technique is essential to improving communication technology and cross-cultural understanding in light of the increase in social media usage.To distinguish Arabic dialects on social media,this research suggests a hybrid Deep Learning(DL)approach.The Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM)and Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory(BiLSTM)architectures make up the model.A new textual dataset that focuses on three main dialects,i.e.,Levantine,Saudi,and Egyptian,is also available.Approximately 11,000 user-generated comments from Twitter are included in this dataset,which has been painstakingly annotated to guarantee accuracy in dialect classification.Transformers,DL models,and basic machine learning classifiers are used to conduct several tests to evaluate the performance of the suggested model.Various methodologies,including TF-IDF,word embedding,and self-attention mechanisms,are used.The suggested model fares better than other models in terms of accuracy,obtaining a remarkable 96.54%,according to the trial results.This study advances the discipline by presenting a new dataset and putting forth a practical model for Arabic dialect identification.This model may prove crucial for future work in sociolinguistic studies and NLP.

西安都市圈生态空间结构特征与生态网络构建研究

面对西安都市圈发展过程中出现的生态空间碎片化问题,生态功能完善的需求及区域高质量一体化的发展目标,通过分析西安都市圈生态空间景观格局,提取其结构特征进而构建区域生态网络。利用形态学空间格局等方法提取西安都市圈生态空间结构特征,通过植被覆盖演变分析并识别潜在的具有生态功能的用地,通过设计转化阻力指标体系获得区域生态网络的构建基础。提出网络整合、廊道桥接、网络织补、生态修复4种生态网络整合策略。通过分析生态空间结构发现都市圈的生态斑块、廊道等不同类型生态功能区的分布特点,针对都市圈尺度提出多中心生态网络的规划模式,针对重要生态单元提出“核心—廊道—缓冲区”的规划模式,基于不同的整合策略调整生态用地布局及空间结构,以提高生态网络的连通性与稳定性,构建都市圈生态网络。聚焦生态空间结构演变机制分析、生态网络构建技术路径及模式探索,提出西安都市圈的生态空间结构,为生态空间规划提供新思路和新方法,这对于推动中国都市圈发展迈向更高水平具有积极意义。

Reflection on Dialect Interference on Mandarin and the Second Language Acquisition of English Learners of Huangshi Dialect

Many findings have shown that positive and negative transfer from the first language influences the second language acquisition.Some observations illustrate that dialect incurs negative transfer on Mandarin learning.Twenty-nine English learners of Huangshi dialect are surveyed about their living and education environment,their second language acquisition and Mandarin learning in an attempt to prove the existence of dialect interference on Mandarin and the second language acquisition and explain the reasons of the difference among dialect,Mandarin and the second language acquisition,based on sound analysis.

A Tentative Study on the Combination of Site Protection and City Construction of Xi'an

The protection of relic sites helps determine the culture coordinate of a city or a region,and enhances its cultural image and status.Through analyzing the construction features and technical means of various ruins parks in Xi'an including Daming Palace National Heritage Park,Qujiangchi Ruins Park,Hanyao Ruins Park,Dacien Temple Ruins Park,Tang Dynasty City Wall Ruins Park,Emperor Qin Ⅱ Mausoleum Ruins Park and so on,a new model combining the site protection with city construction is presented.By integrating cultural relics preservation,heritage protection with innovation,a series of ruins parks processed with deep cultural connotation are constructed,which not only protects the relics and refreshes the city construction,but also well reflects the essence of traditional Chinese culture unique charm of ancient oriental civilization.The well combination of site protection and city construction improves the cultural image and status of the city,enhances the charm of public cultural space,promotes the development of heritage protection and secures more funds for urban and rural construction.

Key Points in the Supervision of Road Landscaping Project——A Case Study of the South 3^(rd) Ring Road in Yanta District of Xi'an City,China

Characteristics of road landscaping were analyzed,as a kind of "linear" landscaping,it could be classified into urban street landscaping,urban ring road and expressway landscaping.Differences between road landscaping projects and other garden landscaping projects or construction projects were analyzed.Landscaping project for the South 3rd Ring Road of Xi'an City(in Yanta District)was taken for an example to summarize construction experience,discuss present conditions and features of garden landscaping supervision in China.The artistic and physiological properties of garden landscaping,as well as the supervision during maintenance period were stressed,but it was also pointed out that garden landscaping supervision in China was actually not given sufficient attention.On this basis,key points in the supervision of road landscaping project were proposed:understanding design ideas,selection of landscape plants,quality control of concealed works,prevention and control of diseases and insects,construction safety management and overall image;only by effectively implementing these key points,a high-quality road landscaping project could be realized to improve the image of a city and beautify its environment.

荷兰Pragma-Dialectics学派的论辩理论在我国的影响越来越大。但是,对Pragma-Dialectics这个词本身的翻译发生了重大变化。Pragma-Dialectics最初传入我国时,被译作"语用-辩证法",后来出现了"语用论辩术(学)"的译法。两种译法孰优孰劣,关涉不少理论和历史问题,需要辨明。"语用论辩术(学)"的译法有诸多危险:不能保证相关术语翻译的一致性;抹煞了作为一种颇具特色的论辩理论——Pragma-Dialectics的一个突出特性;割裂了Dialectics的历史,忽视了Dialectics的各种表现形式。

Protection of Historic and Cultural Heritage in the Urban Renewal of Xi'an City,China

Concept of urban renewal was elaborated,which for the protection of historic and cultural heritage not only provides a favorable opportunity of integrating neighboring environment and improving protection conditions,but also imposes threats such as destroying its historic images and patterns,degrading of survival environment.To properly protect historic and cultural heritage in the unceasing urban renewal,and make it a significant resource and feature of the city but not a barrier of urban development,empirical analysis and theoretical research were adopted to analyze and study current conditions and problems of the protection of historic and cultural heritage in Xi'an City from the dimension of urban renewal concept and present urban renewal of Xi'an.Moreover,through summarizing successful experience of other regions,specific strategies were given to protect historic and cultural heritage of Xi'an City in its urban renewal more scientifically and reasonably.

The construction of Peach Blossom Lake Waterfront Park on the Chan River in Xi'an City gives tourists and Xi'an citizens a waterfront park.By participating the field investigation,feasibility study,demonstration of design scheme as well as extended preliminary design and construction drawing design of the project,the author studied the "maintenance" and "innovation" in constructing modern urban waterfront parks by combining landscape design knowledge and practices,that is to say,how to inherit Chinese traditional culture and gardening art while making innovations,and achieve the organic integration of traditional cultural elements and modern functional elements.

Research on Spatial Development of Xi'an Modern Urban Industrialization

As the Westernization Movement developing in the 1860 s, China began to introduce and learn western science and technology to develop modern military industry and civilian industry. In modern history, Xi'an went through the Xi 'an capital's industrial embryonic form in the late Qing dynasty and urban industrialization construction during the period of the Republic of China so that it converted gradually from a trade city for Chinese traditional handicrafts under the background of the feudal society to a city in the industrial society where machine were used for production.

“四声别义”是用变读声调来区别词性或词义变化的一种构词手段,学界把汉语中利用声调的不同区分同一个词的意义的现象,称为“破读”也称为“四声别义”。今辽西方言中存在四声别义现象,主要通过变读声调表达新的意义或区分词性。“四声别义”现象既不同于文白异读现象,也不同于语流音变现象。从四声别义的特点也可看出汉语声调发展演变的过程和方向。
