Zhang Zhongjing's medication rules for treating constipation based on data analysis

Objective:To explore the characteristics of ZHANG Zhongjing's medication for constipation by analyzing the prescriptions of treatise on Shanghan Lun and Jingui Yaolue.Methods:the formulations that met the inclusion criteria were selected to establish a database,and the regularity of ZHANG Zhongjing's medication for constipation was analyzed by the methods of frequency,association rules and clustering.Results:In this study,11 prescriptions and 24 medicines were included.High-frequency use of drugs rhubarb,licorice,CortexMagnoliae Officinalis,fructus aurantii immaturus,mirabilis,ginger,jujube,white atractylodes rhizome,cassia twig,Chinese herbaceous peony.A total of 17 association rules(11 rules for 2 drugs and 6 rules for 3 drugs)were obtained by mining,including"Rhubarb+Mirabilite","fructus aurantii immaturus+Cortex Magnoliae Officinalis","Rhubarb+Cortex Magnoliae Officinalis","Rhubarb+Cortex Magnoliae Officinalis+fructus aurantii immaturus",and so on,and 7 groups of drug pair association group and 2 groups of multi-flavor drug association group were obtained.Network link analysis shows that there are 7 groups of strong link compatibility.Medium link compatibility 46 groups.Cluster analysis obtained 14 groups,including 8 single-taste drug groups,3 drug-pair polymerization groups and 3 multi-taste drug polymerization groups.Conclusions:ZHANG Zhongjing is not only good at using purgative medicine in treating constipation treating constipation,but also pays attention to invigorating qi and activating blood circulation,resolving the surface and regulating dampness,soothing the liver and regulating qi.

Characteristics and Clinical Application of Prescriptions in Woman Section of Synopsis of Prescriptions of the Golden Chamber

The three chapters in Woman Section of Synopsis of Prescriptions of the Golden Chamber are the earliest medical articles in the diagnosis and treatment of gynecological diseases. They have already had the embryonic form of traditional Chinese gynecology,and laid a certain foundation for the future development of gynecology. Acupuncture and Moxibustion Theories of Zhang Ji

This paper introduces the clinical experiences on acupuncture and moxibustion of Zhang Zhongjing, who was regarded as “medical Saint” of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He gave indications for acupuncture and moxibustion, developed robbing fire or inversing fire acupuncture principles to treat febrile diseases. His theories on acupuncture and moxibustion are precious and could be reference in clinical practice.

Explanation of Gegen Qinlian Decoction Syndrome and Its Clinical Application

Gegen Qinlian Decoction is one of the commonly used classical prescriptions,which consists of fourherbs:Gegen(Puerariae Lobatae Radix),Huangqin(Scutellariae Radix),Huanglian(Coptidis Rhizoma),and Zhigancao Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Praeparata cum Melle.The clinical application experience of Gegen Qinlian Decoction is as follows:first,according to Zhongjing Zhang's original text,heat distressing the large intestine with unresolved exterior syndrome is theoriginal meaningof Gegen Qinlian Decoction syndrome.In clinical practice,bacillary dysentery,gastrointestinal cold,etc.,belong to simultaneous exterior and interior disease,which are completely consistent with the original meaning of this prescription;second,the clinical digestive system diseases with exuberant heat of the large intestine as the core manifestation cannot be treated merely based on the exterior syndrome;third,due to the interior-exterior relationship between the lung and the large intestine and between the meridians,the use of Gegen(Puerariae Lobatae Radix),Huangqin(Scutellariae Radix),and Huanglian(Coptidis Rhizoma)can make the source of body clear,and the waste qi can be released and thepore can be easily opened,so this prescription can also be used for exogenous fever;fourth,with multidimensional comprehensive understanding of the syndrome,pathogenesis,symptoms and pharmacology,Gegen Qinlian Decoction has also been further applied to the treatment of hypertension,diabetes,etc.
