In this method, the rGF is defined on a set of random states and is efficiently calculated by projecting onto Krylov subspace. With the rGF method, the Fermi–Dirac operator can be obtained directly, avoiding the polynomial expansion to Fermi–Dirac function. To demonstrate the applicability, we implement the rGF method with the density-functional tight-binding method. It is shown that the Krylov subspace can maintain at small size for materials with different gaps at zero temperature, including H_(2)O and Si clusters. We find with a simple deflation technique that the rGF self-consistent calculation of H_(2)O clusters at T = 0 K can reach an error of~ 1 me V per H_(2)O molecule in total energy, compared to deterministic calculations. The rGF method provides an effective stochastic method for large-scale electronic structure simulation.展开更多

This paper aims to complement VAM by augmenting its theory, offering additional insights into its conclusions, as well as demonstrating its utility in assessing armature windings and its application of calculating torque for permanent magnet synchronous machines(PMSM). In this paper, based on the statement of general concept and conventional calculation method of the poverty incidence, the calculation method of poverty incidence in the exit evaluation of poverty-stricken counties (also including poverty-stricken township and poverty-stricken villages) was investigated through the view of the third-party evaluation. In addition to considering the previous "number of planned poverty remaining population", the method also needed to give consideration to the exiting mistaken population, evaluation missing population. Based on the case in Yuanyang County, Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, the poverty incidences of 10 exit planning villages by the end of 2017 in Yuanyang County were investigated and estimated, and suggestions were proposed to promote the precise poverty alleviation and poverty relief of the county.展开更多
In order to study the calculation methods of bending behavior of Chinese reinforced concrete beams from 1912 to 1949, tests on the mechanical performance of 66 rebars from different modem Chinese concrete buildings, t...In order to study the calculation methods of bending behavior of Chinese reinforced concrete beams from 1912 to 1949, tests on the mechanical performance of 66 rebars from different modem Chinese concrete buildings, the concrete compressive strength of 12 modem Chinese concrete buildings, and the concrete cover thickness of 9 modem Chinese concrete buildings are carried out; and the actual material properties and structural conformations of modem Chinese concrete buildings are obtained. Then, the comparison on calculation methods of bending behavior including the original Chinese calculation method, the present Chinese calculation method, the present American calculation method and the present European calculation method is studied. The results show that the original Chinese calculation method of bending behavior is based on the allowable stress calculation method, and the design safety factors are 3.55 to 4. 0. In term of the calculation area of longitudinal rebars of reinforced concrete beams, without considering earthquake action, the original Chinese structural calculation method is safer than the present Chinese structural calculation method, the present European structural calculation method, and the present American structural calculation method. The results can provide support for the structural safety assessments of modem Chinese reinforced concrete buildings.展开更多

For the re-entry, dynamics calculation is often done to predict the riser motion or evaluate the structural safety. A dynamics calculation method based on Flexible Segment Model (FSM) is proposed for free hanging marine risers. In FSM, a riser is discretized into a series of flexible segments. For each flexible segment, its deflection feature and external forces are analyzed independently. For the whole riser, the nonlinear governing equations are listed according to the moment equilibrium at nodes. For the solution of the nonlinear equations, a linearization iteration scheme is provided in the paper. Owing to its flexibility, each segment can match a long part of the riser body, which enables that good results can be obtained even with a small number of segments. Moreover, the linearization iteration scheme can avoid widely used Newton-Rapson iteration scheme in which the calculation stability is influenced by the initial points. The FSM-based dynamics calculation is timesaving and stable, so suitable for the shape prediction or real-time control of free hanging marine risers.展开更多

In this paper, the finite element method (FEM) and theoretical analysis method are combined to analyze the structural property, bearing behavior and failure mode of the all-vertical-piled wharf in offshore deep water, and to establish simplified calculation methods determining the horizontal static ultimate bearing capacity and the dynamic response for the all-vertical-piled wharf. Firstly, the bearing capability and failure mechanism for all-vertical-piled wharf are studied by use of FEM, and the failure criterion is put forward for all-vertical-piled wharf based on the 'plastic hinge'. According to the failure criterion and P-Y curve method, the simplified calculation method of the horizontal static ultimate bearing capacity for all-vertical-piled wharf is proposed, and it is verified that the simplified method is reasonable by comparison with the FEM. Secondly, the displacement dynamic magnification factor for the all-vertical-piled wharf under wave cyclic loads and ship impact loads is calculated by the FEM and the theory formula based on the single degree of freedom (SDOF) system. The results obtained by the two methods are in good agreement with each other, and the simplified calculation method of the displacement dynamic magnification factor for all-vertical-piled wharf under dynamic loads is proposed. Then the simplified calculation method determining the dynamic response for the all-vertical-piled wharf is proposed in combination with P-Y curve method. That is, the dynamic response of the structure can be obtained through the static calculation results of P-Y curve method multiplied by the displacement dynamic magnification factor. The feasibility of the simplified dynamic response method is verified by comparison with the FEM under different conditions.展开更多

Application of SMEM in the calculation of reservoir flood discharge risk shows that this method can make full use of the known information under the same conditions and obtain the corresponding probability distribution and the risk value. It not only greatly improves the speed, compared with the Monte Carlo method, but also provides a new approach for the risk calculation in large and complex engineering systems.展开更多

However, difficulties arise when the algorithm is used for non-homogeneous dynamic systems due to the inverse matrix calculation required. In this paper, the structural dynamic equalibrium equations are converted into a special form, the inverse matrix calculation is replaced by the Crout decomposition method to solve the dynamic equilibrium equations, and the precise integration method without the inverse matrix calculation is obtained. The new algorithm enhances the present precise integration method by improving both the computational accuracy and efficiency. Two numerical examples are given to demonstrate the validity and efficiency of the proposed algorithm.展开更多

A strategy of parameter calculation and result storage is presented for phase-field simulation in α-Mg dendrite growth of Mg-5-wt% Zn alloy under isothermal solidification. Based on the phase diagram and empirical formulas, key parameters of the phase-field model, such as equilibrium partition coefficient k, liquidus slope m, solutal diffusion coefficient in liquid Dl, and solutal diffusion coefficient in solid Ds, can be obtained.Both structured grid method and structured point method can be used to store simulation results, but using the latter method will reduce about 60% storage space and 37.5% storage time compared with the former. Finally, convergent simulation results of α-Mg dendrite growth are obtained and they are in good agreement with the experimental results about optical micrograph, which verify the accuracy of parameters and stability of storage method.展开更多

Then,the comparison on calculation methods include the Chinese original calculation method,the Chinese present calculation method,the American present calculation method and the European present calculation method is studied with case analysis method.The results show that the Chinese original calculation method of shear behavior of reinforced concrete beams is based on the allowable stress calculation method,and the design safety factors are 3. 55- 4. 00. The standard value of the compressive strength of concrete cubes is 8. 48 MPa,the standard value of the concrete tensile strength is 1.20 MPa,the standard value of the yield strength of rectangular rebars is 229. 56 MPa,and the standard value of the yield strength of round rebars is 276. 82 MPa. The average value of the concrete cover thickness of beams and columns is 35.96 mm. In term of calculation area of hoop rebars of reinforced concrete beams,without considering earthquake loads,the Chinese original structural calculation method is safer than the Chinese present structural calculation method,but is more unsafe than the American present structural calculation method and the European present structural calculation method. The results can provide the support for structural safety assessments and repair designs of Chinese modern reinforced concrete buildings.展开更多
The Eulerian?Lagrangian method(ELM) has been used by many ocean models as the solution of the advection equation,but the numerical error caused by interpolation imposes restriction on its accuracy.In the present st...The Eulerian?Lagrangian method(ELM) has been used by many ocean models as the solution of the advection equation,but the numerical error caused by interpolation imposes restriction on its accuracy.In the present study,hybrid N-order Lagrangian interpolation ELM(Li ELM) is put forward in which the N-order Lagrangian interpolation is used at first,then the lower order Lagrangian interpolation is applied in the points where the interpolation results are abnormally higher or lower.The calculation results of a step-shaped salinity advection model are analyzed,which show that higher order(N=3?8) Li ELM can reduce the mean numerical error of salinity calculation,but the numerical oscillation error is still significant.Even number order Li ELM makes larger numerical oscillation error than its adjacent odd number order Li ELM.Hybrid N-order Li ELM can remove numerical oscillation,and it significantly reduces the mean numerical error when N is even and the current is in fixed direction,while it makes less effect on mean numerical error when N is odd or the current direction changes periodically.Hybrid odd number order Li ELM makes less mean numerical error than its adjacent even number order Li ELM when the current is in the fixed direction,while the mean numerical error decreases as N increases when the current direction changes periodically,so odd number of N may be better for application.Among various types of Hybrid N-order Li ELM,the scheme reducing N-order directly to 1st-order may be the optimal for synthetic selection of accuracy and computational efficiency.展开更多

Based on FEA and lab tests, the effect of different forms of current and contact condition, relationship between the temperature of contact and the loop resistance is researched. Three individual peaks of thermal solid-state reaction processes of the synthesized Mn0.90Co0.05Mg0.05HPO4?3H2O were observed corresponding to dehydration I,dehydration II and polycondensation processes.An alternative...Three individual peaks of thermal solid-state reaction processes of the synthesized Mn0.90Co0.05Mg0.05HPO4?3H2O were observed corresponding to dehydration I,dehydration II and polycondensation processes.An alternative method for the calculation of the extent of conversion was proposed from the peak area of the individual DTG peak after applying the best fitting deconvolution function(Frazer–Suzuki function).An iterative integral isoconversional equation was used to compute the values of the apparent activation energy Eαand they were found to be 65.87,78.16 and 119.32 kJ/mol for three peaks,respectively.Each individual peak was guaranteed to be a single-step kinetic system with its unique kinetic parameters.The reaction mechanism functions were selected by the comparison between experimental and model plots.The results show that the first,second and final individual peaks were two-dimensional diffusion of spherical symmetry(D2),three-dimensional diffusion of spherical symmetry(D3)and contracting cylinder(cylindrical symmetry,R2)mechanisms.Pre-exponential factor values of 3.91×106,1.35×107 and 2.15×107 s?1 were calculated from the Eαvalues and reaction mechanisms.The corresponded standard thermodynamic functions of the transition-state(activated)complexes were determined and found to agree well with the experimental data.展开更多

In each stage, it i...The paper presents the principles of a method, which in two simple stages makes possible to carry out the statically calculation of values of forces acting in the fiat static indeterminate trusses. In each stage, it is considered the static determinate truss, scheme of which is obtained after remove the suitable number of members from the basic static indeterminate truss. The both intermediate statically determinate trusses are of the same clear span and they are loaded by forces of half values applied to the corresponding truss nodes. The method applies one of the typical procedures of calculation of the statically determinate trusses and then it is applied in an appropriate way the rule of superposition for obtaining the final values of forces acting in particular members of the basic truss. The values of forces calculated in this way are of a very close approximation to the force values determined in the special and complex ways being considered as the exact calculation methods. The proposed method can be useful mostly but not only for the initial structural design of such systems. The simplicity of the two-stage method justifies an assumption that it can be relatively easy and worthy to adjust to the requirements of the computer aided technology of statically calculation of the complex forms of trusses.展开更多

Secondly, the displacement dynamic magnification factor for the all-vertical-piled wharf under wave cyclic loads and ship impact loads is calculated by the FEM and the theory formula based on the single degree of freedom (SDOF) system. The results obtained by the two methods are in good agreement with each other, and the simplified calculation method of the displacement dynamic magnification factor for all-vertical-piled wharf under dynamic loads is proposed. Then the simplified calculation method determining the dynamic response for the all-vertical-piled wharf is proposed in combination with P-Y curve method. That is, the dynamic response of the structure can be obtained through the static calculation results of P-Y curve method multiplied by the displacement dynamic magnification factor. The feasibility of the simplified dynamic response method is verified by comparison with the FEM under different conditions.

文摘The Levenberg-Marquardt method, the best algorithm to obtain the least-square solution of nonlinear equations, is applied to calculate the stable phase equilibria. It can get the best combination between robustness and speed of the calculations. Its application to ternary AI-Si-Mg system is executed in detail. The calculated phase equilibria agree well with the experimental results. Furthermore, the Levenberg-Marquardt method is not sensitive to the initial values.

文摘On the basis of three geological models and several orebody boundaries, a method of grid subdivision and integral has been proposed to calculate and evaluate the resources of cobalt-rich crusts on the seamounts in the central Pacific Ocean. The formulas of this method are deduced and the interface of program module is designed. The method is carried out in the software "Auto mapping system of submarine topography and geomorphology MBChart". This method and program will possibly become a potential tool to calculate the resources of seamounts and determine the target diggings for China' s next Five-year Plan.

文摘This paper presents a rapid and simple risk calculation method for large and complex engineering systems, the simulated maximum entropy method (SMEM), which is based on integration of the advantages of the Monte Carlo and maximum entropy methods, thus avoiding the shortcoming of the slow convergence rate of the Monte Carlo method in risk calculation. Application of SMEM in the calculation of reservoir flood discharge risk shows that this method can make full use of the known information under the same conditions and obtain the corresponding probability distribution and the risk value. It not only greatly improves the speed, compared with the Monte Carlo method, but also provides a new approach for the risk calculation in large and complex engineering systems.
文摘For a long time, because of the lack of investment capital and enough attentions, the overall constructions of rural power grid were far behind than the urban power grid in Chongqing Jiangbei Power Company. The low voltage problems were highlighted in the rural power grid due to the characteristics of rural power grid. Using the distribution network flow calculation method, we evaluated the low voltage problems of the rural power grid which belongs to Chongqing Jiangbei Power Company. In addition, we collected the data of distribution transformers in electricity consumption peak period. Some practical management strategies were proposed by the analysis and evaluation of potential and appeared low voltage problems.
文摘The precise integration method proposed for linear time-invariant homogeneous dynamic systems can provide accurate numerical results that approach an exact solution at integration points. However, difficulties arise when the algorithm is used for non-homogeneous dynamic systems due to the inverse matrix calculation required. In this paper, the structural dynamic equalibrium equations are converted into a special form, the inverse matrix calculation is replaced by the Crout decomposition method to solve the dynamic equilibrium equations, and the precise integration method without the inverse matrix calculation is obtained. The new algorithm enhances the present precise integration method by improving both the computational accuracy and efficiency. Two numerical examples are given to demonstrate the validity and efficiency of the proposed algorithm.

文摘Parameter calculation and result storage, as two necessary steps in phase-field simulation play an important role in ensuring the accuracy of simulation results. A strategy of parameter calculation and result storage is presented for phase-field simulation in α-Mg dendrite growth of Mg-5-wt% Zn alloy under isothermal solidification. Based on the phase diagram and empirical formulas, key parameters of the phase-field model, such as equilibrium partition coefficient k, liquidus slope m, solutal diffusion coefficient in liquid Dl, and solutal diffusion coefficient in solid Ds, can be obtained.Both structured grid method and structured point method can be used to store simulation results, but using the latter method will reduce about 60% storage space and 37.5% storage time compared with the former. Finally, convergent simulation results of α-Mg dendrite growth are obtained and they are in good agreement with the experimental results about optical micrograph, which verify the accuracy of parameters and stability of storage method.

文摘In order to study the calculation methods of shear behavior of reinforced concrete beams of Chinese modern reinforced concrete buildings,this paper carried out tests on the concrete compressive strength of 12 Chinese modern concrete buildings,the mechanical properties of 66 rebars from different Chinese modern concrete buildings,and the concrete cover thickness of 9 Chinese modern concrete buildings,and the actual material properties and structural configurations have been obtained. Then,the comparison on calculation methods include the Chinese original calculation method,the Chinese present calculation method,the American present calculation method and the European present calculation method is studied with case analysis method.The results show that the Chinese original calculation method of shear behavior of reinforced concrete beams is based on the allowable stress calculation method,and the design safety factors are 3. 55- 4. 00. The standard value of the compressive strength of concrete cubes is 8. 48 MPa,the standard value of the concrete tensile strength is 1.20 MPa,the standard value of the yield strength of rectangular rebars is 229. 56 MPa,and the standard value of the yield strength of round rebars is 276. 82 MPa. The average value of the concrete cover thickness of beams and columns is 35.96 mm. In term of calculation area of hoop rebars of reinforced concrete beams,without considering earthquake loads,the Chinese original structural calculation method is safer than the Chinese present structural calculation method,but is more unsafe than the American present structural calculation method and the European present structural calculation method. The results can provide the support for structural safety assessments and repair designs of Chinese modern reinforced concrete buildings.

文摘The Eulerian?Lagrangian method(ELM) has been used by many ocean models as the solution of the advection equation,but the numerical error caused by interpolation imposes restriction on its accuracy.In the present study,hybrid N-order Lagrangian interpolation ELM(Li ELM) is put forward in which the N-order Lagrangian interpolation is used at first,then the lower order Lagrangian interpolation is applied in the points where the interpolation results are abnormally higher or lower.The calculation results of a step-shaped salinity advection model are analyzed,which show that higher order(N=3?8) Li ELM can reduce the mean numerical error of salinity calculation,but the numerical oscillation error is still significant.Even number order Li ELM makes larger numerical oscillation error than its adjacent odd number order Li ELM.Hybrid N-order Li ELM can remove numerical oscillation,and it significantly reduces the mean numerical error when N is even and the current is in fixed direction,while it makes less effect on mean numerical error when N is odd or the current direction changes periodically.Hybrid odd number order Li ELM makes less mean numerical error than its adjacent even number order Li ELM when the current is in the fixed direction,while the mean numerical error decreases as N increases when the current direction changes periodically,so odd number of N may be better for application.Among various types of Hybrid N-order Li ELM,the scheme reducing N-order directly to 1st-order may be the optimal for synthetic selection of accuracy and computational efficiency.
文摘This paper studies the method for measuring the loop resistance of GIS conductor pole based on the super capacitor producing impulse current up to several thousand amperes. This method overcomes the limitations of conventional diagnostic method. Typical GIS conductor poles are chosen. Based on FEA and lab tests, the effect of different forms of current and contact condition, relationship between the temperature of contact and the loop resistance is researched. In full- scale testing under realistic operating conditions on the new 220 kV GIS using prototype instrumentation a very good sensitivity in an early stage was obtained.
文摘The tube inside and outside heat transfer mechanism of Passive Residual Heat Removal Heat Exchanger (PRHR HX) was analyzed. The calculation method of this special heat exchanger under natural convection condition in In-containment Refueling Water Storage Tank (IRWST) was carried out. The single-tube coupling model three-dimensional natural circulation in the IRWST was simulated numerically using Fluent. The heat transfer and flow characteristics of the fluid in IRWST were obtained. The comparison of the results between theoretical arithmetic and numerical simulation showed that the theoretical calculation method is suitable for the heat transfer calculation of PRHR HX.

文摘Three individual peaks of thermal solid-state reaction processes of the synthesized Mn0.90Co0.05Mg0.05HPO4?3H2O were observed corresponding to dehydration I,dehydration II and polycondensation processes.An alternative method for the calculation of the extent of conversion was proposed from the peak area of the individual DTG peak after applying the best fitting deconvolution function(Frazer–Suzuki function).An iterative integral isoconversional equation was used to compute the values of the apparent activation energy Eαand they were found to be 65.87,78.16 and 119.32 kJ/mol for three peaks,respectively.Each individual peak was guaranteed to be a single-step kinetic system with its unique kinetic parameters.The reaction mechanism functions were selected by the comparison between experimental and model plots.The results show that the first,second and final individual peaks were two-dimensional diffusion of spherical symmetry(D2),three-dimensional diffusion of spherical symmetry(D3)and contracting cylinder(cylindrical symmetry,R2)mechanisms.Pre-exponential factor values of 3.91×106,1.35×107 and 2.15×107 s?1 were calculated from the Eαvalues and reaction mechanisms.The corresponded standard thermodynamic functions of the transition-state(activated)complexes were determined and found to agree well with the experimental data.
文摘The paper presents the principles of a method, which in two simple stages makes possible to carry out the statically calculation of values of forces acting in the fiat static indeterminate trusses. In each stage, it is considered the static determinate truss, scheme of which is obtained after remove the suitable number of members from the basic static indeterminate truss. The both intermediate statically determinate trusses are of the same clear span and they are loaded by forces of half values applied to the corresponding truss nodes. The method applies one of the typical procedures of calculation of the statically determinate trusses and then it is applied in an appropriate way the rule of superposition for obtaining the final values of forces acting in particular members of the basic truss. The values of forces calculated in this way are of a very close approximation to the force values determined in the special and complex ways being considered as the exact calculation methods. The proposed method can be useful mostly but not only for the initial structural design of such systems. The simplicity of the two-stage method justifies an assumption that it can be relatively easy and worthy to adjust to the requirements of the computer aided technology of statically calculation of the complex forms of trusses.
