Induced acoustic wave to bare fiber through various types of horn are examined. The center wavelength and extinction ratio of the notch filter are dynamically tunable and dependent on the RF signals.

Using an acousto-optic programmable dispersive filter (AOPDF), the spectral full-width at half-maximum (FWHM) is expanded from 30 to 50 nm. Stable laser pulses with the duration of 30 fs (FWHM), which is 1.07 times Fourier-transformlimitation, have been acquired by pre-compensating the high order phase distortions using the phase measured by spectral phase interferometry for direct electric-field reconstruction (SPIDER).展开更多

This laser can generate a shorter and more symmetric pulse in comparison with purely AO and passively Q-switched lasers. In the meantime, the rate equations describing the operation of a diode-pumped, AO and GaAs doubly Q-switched Nd:GdVO4/KTP green laser are introduced. These equations are solved numerically and the dependence of pulse width on incident pump power is obtained. The numerical solutions are in agreement with the experimental results.展开更多
