Application Procedure of 2010 World FairOn May 2, 2001, China, the first country, submitted formally an application for holding 2010 Shanghai World Fair to theBureau of International Exhibition (BIE). There were China, Russia, ROK, Poland, Mexico and Argentina (Afterwards ArgentinaWithdrew) formally submitting applications. The deadline for application is six months after the application was formally submittedby the first country. Then BIE sent investigation delegation to investigate various countries that made applications, and submittedreports to the Executive Commission and General Assembly. China stated reports at BIE 129th, 130th and 131st General Assembliesin June and November 2001 and July 2002 respectively. In December 2002, China stated the last report at BIE 132nd GeneralAssembly.展开更多

However, they suffer from inherent dissipation. Recently, active non-Foster elements with imaginary immittance monotonically decreasing with frequency have shown important potentials in broadening bandwidths of electromagnetic devices. So far, they are implemented besed on negative impedance convertors (NICs) loaded with Foster devices. This makes them intrinsically one-port elements and thus cannot be used to compensate for distortions of signals. We construct a two-port network with a non-Foster transmission coefticient based on an unconventional use of NICs. Simulation and experiments show that it can compensate for extremely distorted signals. The proposed method can be used to broaden existing applications in different areas such as antennas, circuits and systems, and physical-layer signal processing.展开更多
