This paper presents an actuator used for the trajectory correction fuze,which is subject to high impact loadings during launch.A simulation method is carried out to obtain the peak-peak stress value of each component,...This paper presents an actuator used for the trajectory correction fuze,which is subject to high impact loadings during launch.A simulation method is carried out to obtain the peak-peak stress value of each component,from which the ball bearings are possible failures according to the results.Subsequently,three schemes against impact loadings,full-element deep groove ball bearing and integrated raceway,needle roller thrust bearing assembly,and gaskets are utilized for redesigning the actuator to effectively reduce the bearings’stress.However,multi-objectives optimization still needs to be conducted for the gaskets to decrease the stress value further to the yield stress.Four gasket’s structure parameters and three bearings’peak-peak stress are served as the four optimization variables and three objectives,respectively.Optimized Latin hypercube design is used for generating sample points,and Kriging model selected according to estimation result can establish the relationship between the variables and objectives,representing the simulation which is time-consuming.Accordingly,two optimization algorithms work out the Pareto solutions,from which the best solutions are selected,and verified by the simulation to determine the gaskets optimized structure parameters.It can be concluded that the simulation and optimization method based on these components is effective and efficient.展开更多

The development of subsea all-electric Christmas trees is an area of focus in the offshore oil industry worldwide.The main difficulties are associated with the development and control strategies for subsea all-electri...The development of subsea all-electric Christmas trees is an area of focus in the offshore oil industry worldwide.The main difficulties are associated with the development and control strategies for subsea all-electric actuators,which are the most criti-cal components of subsea Christmas trees.A single-motor-level fuzzy PID control with an integrated working condition detection mod-ule and a three-motor redundant-level deviation strategy with coupled joint synchronous control were proposed in this paper to real-ize the real time determination of algorithm parameters according to the working conditions,solve the rapid redistribution problems,and maintain the fast speed of the servo motor of the subsea all-electric tree valve actuator.A synchronous control electrical system was built,tested,and verified through simulation analysis.Test results show that the two redundant servo motors can still control the all-electric valve actuator and provide good synchronization control capabilities despite the failure of one servo motor,and the verti-cal and horizontal vibration values of the system are within reasonable ranges.The synchronous control strategy can be applied to the synchronous control problem of subsea all-electric production systems,which is of considerable importance for the development of subsea all-electric production systems.展开更多

This paper presents a 2-RPR/RP planar redundantly actuated parallel manipulator which can self-coordinate the distribution of external loads. This capability is realized by an appropriate design of the moving platform to make the manipulator stable at equilibrium position. The stability is proved by the theorem of direct Lyapunov method in classical mechanics. The numerical simulations are conducted to validate the stable capability by means of the observation of potential energies and phase planes. This paper offers an alternative way to design a redundantly actuated manipulator with the capability of self-coordinating the load distribution to actuations, such that parts of the controlling work are assigned to the manipulator itself by its own structure and only a little work remains to the control system.展开更多

Focusing on the slipper/s...This paper presents a novel transient lubrication model for the analysis of the variable load failure mechanism of high-speed pump used in Load Sensing Electro-Hydrostatic Actuator(LS-EHA). Focusing on the slipper/swashplate pair partial abrasion, which is considered as the dominant failure mode in the high-speed condition, slipper dynamic models are established. A forth sliding motion of the slipper on the swashplate surface is presented under the fact that the slipper center of mass will rotate around the center of piston ball when the swashplate angle is dynamically adjusted. Besides, extra inertial tilting moments will be produced for the slipper based on the theorem on translation of force, which will increase rapidly when LS-EHA pump operates under highspeed condition. Then, a dynamic lubricating model coupling with fluid film thickness field, temperature field and pressure field is proposed. The deformation effects caused by thermal deflection and hydrostatic pressure are considered. A numerical simulation model is established to validate the effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed model. Finally, based on the load spectrum of aircraft flight profile, the variable load conditions and the oil film characteristics are analyzed, and series of variable load rules of oil film thickness with variable speed/variable pressure/variable displacement are concluded.展开更多
This paper intends to provide theoretical basis for matching design of hydraulic load simulator (HLS) with aerocraft actuator in hardware-in-loop test, which is expected to help actuator designers overcome the obsta...This paper intends to provide theoretical basis for matching design of hydraulic load simulator (HLS) with aerocraft actuator in hardware-in-loop test, which is expected to help actuator designers overcome the obstacles in putting forward appropriate requirements of HLS. Traditional research overemphasizes the optimization of parameters and methods for HLS controllers. It lacks deliberation because experimental results and project experiences indicate different ultimate performance of a specific HLS. When the actuator paired with this HLS is replaced, the dynamic response and tracing precision of this HLS also change, and sometimes the whole system goes so far as to lose control. Based on the influence analysis of the preceding phenomena, a theory about matching design of aerocraft actuator with HLS is presented, together with two paired new concepts of "Standard Actuator" and "Standard HLS". Further research leads to seven important conclusions of matching design, which suggest that appropriate stiffness and output torque of HLS should be carefully designed and chosen for an actuator. Simulation results strongly support that the proposed principle of matching design can be anticipated to be one of the design criteria for HLS, and successfully used to explain experimental phenomena and project experiences.展开更多
