The age...We reported our clinical application of the expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) pericardial membrane for primary pericardial closure in the palliative procedures for 18 tetrology of Fallot (TOF) patients. The age were 2-7 years old They were reoperated 18-84 months after the first procedures. No injury of the heart or great vessels occured in the ePTFE group during sternal reentry. We found the ePTFE membrane can significantly reduce the formatior of mediastinal adhensions (P<0.O5).展开更多
