Assigning the same or adjacent frequencies to cells close to each other will introduce co-channel and adjacent channel interference which will reduce network performance. Traditionally, man power is used to check and allocate new frequencies which is time consuming and the accuracy is not satisfactory. This paper presents an intelligent analysis method for optimization of co-channel and adjacent channel interference by exploiting cell configuration information. The method defines an interference evaluation model by analyzing various factors such as the base station layer, the azimuth ward relationship, and the cell neighborhood relationships. The interference for each frequency is evaluated and the problem frequencies are optimized. This method is verified by a large number of actual datasets from an in-service GSM network. The results show this method has better intelligence, accuracy, timeliness, and visualization than traditional methods.展开更多

Measurement results with the continuous wave (CW) signals indicate that the designed class-F PA achieves a peak power-added efficiency (PAE) of 75. 2% with an output power of 39.4 dBm. The adjacent channel power ratio (ACPR) of the designed PA after digital predistortion (DPD) decreases from -28. 3 and -27. 5 dBc to -51.9 and -54. 0 dBc, respectively, for a 4-carrier 20 MHz WCDMA signal with 7. 1 dB peak to average power ratio (PAPR). The drain efficiency (DE) of the PA is 37. 8% at an average output power of 33. 3 dBm. The designed power amplifier can be aoolied in the WCDMA system.展开更多

The effects of bandwidth limitation, nonlinearityity distortion and adjacent channel interference (ACI) in Ka-band satellite channel corrupted by additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) are taken into account. The analytical expressions of the HER of coherent MPSK and MQAM signal are obtained and shown to be in good agreement with the simulation results.展开更多

Performance measuring systems are introduced for transmitter channel and receiver sensitivity, respectively. The transceiver achieves maximum output power of 22 dBm, dynamic range of 85 dB, adjacent channel power rejection ratio (ACPR) of -41dB@5MHz, and receiver sensitivity of-119.6 dBm for 128-kb/s data at 3.84-Mcps spreading rate. The measured results indicate the conformity to the required commercial 2.0-GHz WCDMA specification and 3GPP requirements.展开更多

The tuner RFIC is composed of a wideband front-end, an analog baseband, a full integrated fractional- N synthesizer and an Iac digital interface. To meet the stringent adjacent channel rejection (ACR) requirements of mobile TV standards while keeping low power consumption and low cost, direct conversion architecture with a local AGC scheme is adopted in this design. Eighth-order elliptic active-RC filters with large stop band attenuation and a sharp transition band are chosen as the channel select filter to further improve the ACR preference. The chip is fabricated in a 0.35-#m SiGe BiCMOS technology and occupies a silicon area of 5.5 mm2. It draws 50 mA current from a 3.0 V power supply. In CMMB application, it achieves a sensitivity of-97 dBm with 1/2 coding QPSK signal input and over 40 dB ACR.展开更多
