Geographical variations in ...According to the freely linear Rossby wave theory, global 1°×1°climatology of Rossby deformation radius and phase speed are studied under the fiat bottom fluid approximation. Geographical variations in the contours of the phase speed are very similar to those of the Rossby radius of formation, which are mainly affected by stratification, rotation, water depth, topography, etc. The basin-crossing time of the first baroclinic Rossby wave is obtained and analyzed in the global ocean basins. The results are useful to learn the importance of Rosaby wave and the adiabatic adjustment of large-scale ocean circulation.展开更多
For accurate trajectory tracking and obstacle avoidance in finite time of a nonholonomic mobile robot,a trajectory tracking controller based on global fast terminal sliding mode method is proposed,which has the advant...For accurate trajectory tracking and obstacle avoidance in finite time of a nonholonomic mobile robot,a trajectory tracking controller based on global fast terminal sliding mode method is proposed,which has the advantages of chattering-free and adjustable convergence time.First of all,the kinematics model of the robot is established in mobile carrier coordinates.Secondly,the global structure including terminal attractor and exponential convergence of the fast terminal sliding mode trajectory tracking controller is proved by Lyapunov stability theory,ensuring that the trajectory and heading angle tracking error converges to a smaller zero range in finite time.Finally,the artificial potential field obstacle avoidance method is introduced to make the robot not only track the reference trajectory strictly,but also avoid the obstacles.The simulation results show that the proposed method can achieve a stable tracking control in finite time for a given reference trajectory.展开更多
In this paper,a kind of explicit difference scheme to solve nonlinear evolution equations,perfectly keeping the square conservation by adjusting the time step interval,is constructed,from the comprehensive maintenance...In this paper,a kind of explicit difference scheme to solve nonlinear evolution equations,perfectly keeping the square conservation by adjusting the time step interval,is constructed,from the comprehensive maintenance of the ad- vantages of the implicit complete square conservative scheme and the explicit instantaneous square conservative scheme. The new schemes are based on the thought of adding a small dissipation,but it is different from the small dissipation method.The dissipative term used in the new schemes is not a simple artificial dissipative term,but a so-called (time) harmonious dissipative term that can compensate for the truncation errors from the dissociation of the time differential term.Therefore,the new schemes may have a high time precision and may acquire a satisfactory effect in numerical tests.展开更多
