Hippocampal neuronal loss causes cognitive dysfunction in Alzheimer’s disease.Adult hippocampal neurogenesis is reduced in patients with Alzheimer’s disease.Exercise stimulates adult hippocampal neurogenesis in rodents and improves memory and slows cognitive decline in patients with Alzheimer’s disease.However,the molecular pathways for exercise-induced adult hippocampal neurogenesis and improved cognition in Alzheimer’s disease are poorly understood.Recently,regulator of G protein signaling 6(RGS6)was identified as the mediator of voluntary running-induced adult hippocampal neurogenesis in mice.Here,we generated novel RGS6fl/fl;APP_(SWE) mice and used retroviral approaches to examine the impact of RGS6 deletion from dentate gyrus neuronal progenitor cells on voluntary running-induced adult hippocampal neurogenesis and cognition in an amyloid-based Alzheimer’s disease mouse model.We found that voluntary running in APP_(SWE) mice restored their hippocampal cognitive impairments to that of control mice.This cognitive rescue was abolished by RGS6 deletion in dentate gyrus neuronal progenitor cells,which also abolished running-mediated increases in adult hippocampal neurogenesis.Adult hippocampal neurogenesis was reduced in sedentary APP_(SWE) mice versus control mice,with basal adult hippocampal neurogenesis reduced by RGS6 deletion in dentate gyrus neural precursor cells.RGS6 was expressed in neurons within the dentate gyrus of patients with Alzheimer’s disease with significant loss of these RGS6-expressing neurons.Thus,RGS6 mediated voluntary running-induced rescue of impaired cognition and adult hippocampal neurogenesis in APP_(SWE) mice,identifying RGS6 in dentate gyrus neural precursor cells as a possible therapeutic target in Alzheimer’s disease. 展开更多

Aim:To gain knowledge of how adult students experienced the first year of a blended learning master programme to better understand their learning process.Methods:A qualitative,exploratory,descriptive study based on data from two focus group interviews with students attending a blended learning Master programme.Qualitative content analysis based on Graneheim and Lundman’s procedures was applied.Findings:Our analyses revealed one main theme:aspiring for competence in a multifaceted everyday life and four main categories:acquiring professional competence,struggling to manage diverse forms of communication,demanding task juggling and confused student role.Conclusions:The participants experienced that the programme enabled them to acquire professional competence relevant to practice.Despite the challenges,the programme is recommended for prospective students who live in both urban and rural areas,who are working and also responsible for children and other family tasks. 展开更多

A novel capacity independent approach is presented. It verifies the strong convergence of sizes and yields satisfactory convergence rates for polynomially decaying step sizes. Compared with the gradient schemes, this al- gorithm needs only less additional assumptions on the loss function and derives a stronger result with respect to the choice of step sizes and the regularization parameters. 展开更多

E-learning platforms support education systems worldwide, transferring theoretical knowledge as well as soft skills. In the present study high-school pupils’, and adult students’ opinions were evaluated through a modern structured MOODLE interactive course, designed for the needs of the laboratory course “Automotive Systems”. The study concerns Greek secondary vocational education pupils aged 18 and vocational training adult students aged 20 to 50 years. The multistage, equal size simple random cluster sample was used as a sampling method. Pupils and adult students of each cluster completed structured 10-question questionnaires both before and after attending the course. A total of 120 questionnaires were collected. In general, our findings disclosed that the majority of pupils and adult students had significantly improved their knowledge and skills from using MOODLE. They reported strengthening conventional teaching, using the new MOODLE technology. The satisfaction indices improved quite, with the differences in their mean values being statistically significant. 展开更多

以"刺激-机体-反应"(S-O-R)模型为理论基础,深入探讨感知交互性对在线学习者持续学习意愿的影响,将感知交互性分为四个维度:感知控制、感知响应性、感知个性化和感知互助。以某师范大学的部分在校生为研究对象,采用问卷调查... 以"刺激-机体-反应"(S-O-R)模型为理论基础,深入探讨感知交互性对在线学习者持续学习意愿的影响,将感知交互性分为四个维度:感知控制、感知响应性、感知个性化和感知互助。以某师范大学的部分在校生为研究对象,采用问卷调查的方法收集数据,利用AMOS和SPSS软件对数据进行处理从而对已建构的理论模型进行检验和分析。研究结果表明,感知控制、感知响应、感知互助均正向影响社会临场感;感知控制直接影响学习者的心流体验;社会临场感通过心流体验对学习者的持续学习意愿存在显著影响;而感知个性化对社会临场感和心流体验的影响在本研究中没有得到证实;不同受教育程度、学习动机的在线学习者在持续学习意愿上无显著差异。 展开更多

教师支持、学习者自我调节学习是影响成人在线学习效果的关键要素。研究提出了教师支持、学习者在线自我调节学习及在线学习绩效之间的影响关系理论模型及相应假设,并采用结构方程建模方法对436名成人在线学习者的调查数据进行实证检验... 教师支持、学习者自我调节学习是影响成人在线学习效果的关键要素。研究提出了教师支持、学习者在线自我调节学习及在线学习绩效之间的影响关系理论模型及相应假设,并采用结构方程建模方法对436名成人在线学习者的调查数据进行实证检验。研究发现:(1)教师自主支持、认知支持和情感支持对自我调节学习、在线学习绩效均有直接而显著的正向影响;(2)自我调节学习对在线学习绩效有显著的正向影响,是自主支持、认知支持与在线学习绩效之间的关键中介变量;(3)教师认知支持对自我调节学习的积极影响要大于自主支持和情感支持;(4)教师情感支持对学习者在线学习绩效的积极影响要大于自我调节学习。 展开更多

针对高职英语教学中教师压力大、英语教育受众群体广泛的特点,文中结合现有数据库管理与网络系统开发技术,设计完成了基于B/S架构的信息化外语学习系统。该信息化外语学习系统采用B/S开发模式,运用Java、JSP/Servlet、JavaScript、HTML... 针对高职英语教学中教师压力大、英语教育受众群体广泛的特点,文中结合现有数据库管理与网络系统开发技术,设计完成了基于B/S架构的信息化外语学习系统。该信息化外语学习系统采用B/S开发模式,运用Java、JSP/Servlet、JavaScript、HTML、CSS等多种主流技术进行开发,服务器采用Apache Tomcat。系统在数据库的选择上,选用了兼容性强、扩展便捷的MySQL作为数据库。同时,采用Struts2和Hibernate体系架构来开发,实现了在线学习、考试、练习、答疑、发音矫正等功能。教师作为管理员可以在后台对学生进行管理和答疑,学生则可以进行在线的英语学习与考试。经测试运行,该系统性能良好、运行稳定、响应迅速,同时具有扩展方便和对运行环境要求较低的优点。该外语学习系统可以对在线英语教学和学习提供较大的帮助。 展开更多
