An Advanced Probabilistic Neural Network for the Design of Breakwater Armor Blocks

In this study, an advanced probabilistic neural network (APNN) method is proposed to reflect the global probability density function (PDF) by summing up the heterogeneous local PDF which is automatically determined in the individual standard deviation of variables. The APNN is applied to predict the stability number of armor blocks of breakwaters using the experimental data of' van der Meet, and the estimated results of the APNN are compared with those of an empirical formula and a previous artificial neural network (ANN) model. The APNN shows better results in predicting the stability number of armor bilks of breakwater and it provided the promising probabilistic viewpoints by using the individual standard deviation in a variable. 展开更多

For the past few decades,the internet of underwater things(IoUT)otained a lot of attention in mobile aquatic applications such as oceanography,diver network monitoring,unmanned underwater exploration,underwater surveillance,location tracking system,etc.Most of the IoUT applications rely on acoustic medium.The current IoUT applications face difficulty in delivering a reliable communication system due to the various technical limitations of IoUT environment such as low data rate,attenuation,limited bandwidth,limited battery,limited memory,connectivity problem,etc.One of the significant applications of IoUT include monitoring underwater diver networks.In order to perform a reliable and energy-efficient communication system in the underwater diver networks,a smart underwater hybrid softwaredefined modem(UHSDM)for the mobile ad-hoc network was developed that is used for selecting the best channel/medium among acoustic,visible light communication(VLC),and infrared(IR)based on the criteria established within the system.However,due to the mobility of underwater divers,the developed UHSDMmeets the challenges such as connectivity errors,frequent link failure,transmission delay caused by re-routing,etc.During emergency,the divers are most at the risk of survival.To deal with diver mobility,connectivity,energy efficiency,and reducing the latency in ADN,a handover mechanism based on pre-built UHSDM is proposed in this paper.This paper focuses on(1)design of UHSDM for ADN(2)propose the channel selection mechanism in UHSDM for selecting the best medium for handover and(3)propose handover protocol inADN.The implementation result shows that the proposed mechanism can be used to find the new route for divers in advance and the latency can be reduced significantly.Additionally,this paper shows the real field experiment of air tests and underwater tests with various distances.This research will contribute much to the profit of researchers in underwater diver networks and underwater networks,for improving the quality of services(QoS)of underwater applications. 展开更多

First, a new way for boosting sustainable progress of systematic metal materials science (SMMS) and alloy gene engineering (AGE) is to establish holographic alloy positioning design (HAPD) system, of which the base consists of measurement and calculation center, SMMS center, AGE center, HAPD information center and HAPD cybernation center; Second, the resonance activating-sychro alternating mechanism of atom movement may be divided into the located and oriented diffuse modes; Third, the equilibrium and subequilibrium holographic network phase diagrams are blueprints and operable platform for researchers to discover, design, manufacture and deploy advanced alloys, which are obtained respectively by the equilibrium lever numerical method and cross point numerical method of isothermal Gibbs energy curves. As clicking each network point, the holographic information of three structure levels for the designed alloy may be readily obtained: the phase constitution and fraction, phase arranging structure and properties of organization; the composition, alloy gene arranging structure and properties of each phase and the electronic structures and properties of alloy genes. Fuzzy neural networks (FNN) based on Gaussian membership functions can effectively control the motion of underwater vehicles. However, their operating processes and training algorithms are complicated, placing great demands on embedded hardware. This paper presents an advanced FNN with an S membership function matching the motion characteristics of mini underwater vehicles with wings. A leaming algorithm was then developed. Simulation results showed that the modified FNN is a simpler algorithm with faster calculations and improves responsiveness, compared with a Gaussian membership function-based FNN. It is applicable for mini underwater vehicles that don't need accurate positioning but must have good maneuverability. 展开更多

This work is about the development of a super low noise amplifier with minimum power consumption and high gain for several wireless applications.The amplifier operates at frequency bands of 0.9-2.4 GHz and can be used in many applications like Wireless local area network(WLAN),WiFi,Bluetooth,ZigBee and Global System for mobile communications(GSM).This new design can be employed for the IEEE 802.15.4 standard in industrial,scientific and medical(ISM) Band.The enhancement mode pseudomorphic high electron mobility transistor PHEMT is used here due to its high linearity,better performance and less noisy operation.The common source inductive degeneration method is employed here to enhance the gain of amplifier.The amplifier produces a gain of more than 17 dB and noise figure of about 0.5 dB.The lower values of S11 and S22 reflect the accuracy of impedance matching network placed at the input and output sides of amplifier.Agilent Advance Design System(ADS) is used for the design and simulation purpose.Further the layout of design is developed on the FR4 substrate. 展开更多

The corresponding corrected method is proposed for the INS ( INS-Inertial Navigation System ) accumulated error of large transport aircraft. System errors contain aircraft position error, altitude error and speed error,one is increasing the accuracy of hardw are; the other is development of low cost softw are algorithms. Because of improving hardw are is more difficult in my country at present, developing softw are algorithms is essential w ay,w hich have been validated in my types of airplane. The combined heuristic algorithms ( ABPNN,Advanced Back-propagation neural netw orks algorithm and LSM -least square method) are presented,w hich incorporates the effects of flight region and measured terrain height data by radar and barometer. Based on this algorithm,the appropriate match region w as gotten by recognition of fiducial digital map in real time online. In process of w ork,the minimum of position error as a cost function and the constraint conditions are gave,the flight positions are recognized in real time and continuously,least sum of square is calculated based on LSM ,in other w ords,the optimized result is obtained. The simulation case demonstrate that the method is very successful,the correct rate of recognition is more 90 percent. In w ords,the algorithm presented is economical,validation and effective. 展开更多
