A low-viscosity emulsion of crude oil in water can be believed to be the bulk of a flow regime in a pipeline. To differentiate which crude oil would and which would not counter the blockage of flow due to gas hydrate formation in flow channels, varying amount of crude oil in water emulsion without any other extraneous additives has undergone methane gas hydrate formation in an autoclave cell.Crude oil was able to thermodynamically inhibit the gas hydrate formation as observed from its hydrate stability zone. The normalized rate of hydrate formation in the emulsion has been calculated from an illustrative chemical affinity model, which showed a decrease in the methane consumption(decreased normalized rate constant) with an increase in the oil content in the emulsion.Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR) of the emulsion and characteristic properties of the crude oil have been used to find the chemical component that could be pivotal in selfinhibitory characteristic of the crude oil collected from Ankleshwar,India, against a situation of clogged flow due to formation of gas hydrate and establish flow assurance. 展开更多

In order to establish the novel high throughput, high efficiency and low cost technological platform for the research of N-glycoproteomics, to resolve the significance of characteristic expression profile of glycoprotein and to find the proteins with biological functional importance, the glycoproteins with high-mannose core and the two antennary types were purified and enriched by the Con A affinity chromatography. Con A affinity protein expression profiles of normal human liver tissue were gener- ated by using SDS-PAGE, two-dimensional electrophoresis (2-DE) followed by fast fluorescence stain- ing based on multiplexed proteomics (MP) technology. 301 visible protein spots on the gel were de- tected and 85 of glycoproteins were further successfully identified via peptide mass fingerprinting (PMF) by a matrix assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF- MS/MS) and annotated to IPI databases. Identified glycoproteins definitely take part in the regulation of cell cycle and metabolic processes. The glycosylation sites were predicted with NetNGlyc 1.0 and NetOGlyc 3.1 software, meanwhile they were classified according to the geneontology methods. The construction of Con A affinity glycoprotein database of normal human liver tissue would contribute to the subsequent research. 展开更多

Xd-valued random vectors attracted to operator semi-stable laws. For each integer n ≥1, let X1,≤……≤ Xn,n denote the order statistics of X1, X2,..., Xn according to priority of index, namely |(X1,nθ)|≥…≥ [(Xn,n,θ)1, where (., .) is an inner product on Rd. For all integers r ≥ 0, define by (r)Sn =∑n-r i=1Xi,n the trimmed sum. In this paper we investigate a law of the iterated logarithm and limit distributions for trimmed sums (r)Sn. Our results give information about the maximal growth rate of sample paths for partial sums of X when r extreme terms are excluded. A stochastically compactness of (r)Sn is obtained. 展开更多
