Research on Sports Public Service Supply in the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin-City Economic Circle under the Background of Regional Economic Development

Using literature,questionnaires,interviews,and mathematical statistics to investigate the current situation of sports public services in the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin-city Economic Circle.The results show that there are some problems in Chengdu-Chongqing sports public services,such as big difference in the development level of supply between urban and rural areas,low supply level,low efficiency,supply mechanism defect,lack of social sports instructors,an outstanding contradiction between the quality of sports public service and residents’demand.To address the problems,government departments should accelerate the transformation of government functions,improve the relevant regulations and systems,increase the investment in sports public services,improve the quality of supply,cultivate the backbone team,integrate resources,and combine the national characteristics with regional characteristics,take into account the personalized needs of the residents,combine the sports public services with intelligence,and build the service system of“Internet+Fitness.”

In the main trend of gradually improving socialist market economy and establishing public service type government,market supply of rural public sports service is necessary. On the basis of unique characteristics of China's rural society and market experience of domestic and foreign public service,market supply methods were discussed about rural public sports service. However,there are certain factors restricting market supply in this process. On the basis of the analysis,it came up with several optimization measures for market supply of rural public sports service.

Functions of Relationship Capital in Rural Public Sports Service

Correlation Analysis on Environmental Factors Influencing the Development of Urban and Rural Public Sports Equalization Service in South Jiangsu Province

Primary Exploration of the Diversified Development of Sports Public Service in our Country

The ultimate objective of sports public service is to pay attention to the development of human beings. It is the absolute trend of health conception pursuit by the growing material and cultural lives of the people. When the modem society is interpreting the concept, the connotation and the development objective of sports public services, it conforms to the scientific concept of development that takes humans as essentials. With the target of the development of three stages, it realizes the service system at which the government macro-control and all sectors of society mutually participate. In addition, it also realizes the service system in which the rural-urban sports public service develops with the characteristics of diversification, multi-subjects and multi-centers. These are to be gradually realized on the perspectives of management mode, supply mode, and operation mechanism as well as the social guarantee mechanism, etc. In this way, the sports public service in our country is ensured to develop gradually and stably.

Efficient School Health Services and Sport Participation Among Nigerian Universities Undergraduates

Purpose： The purpose of the study was to ascertain the relationship between efficient medical services and Nigerian undergraduates＇ participation in sports. Methods and Materials： A randomly sampled population of 280 students and 12 managerial staff of sport and medical units participated in the descriptive study. Responses to a validated questionnaire provided the source of data. A test-retest reliability coefficient （r） = 0.80. Data were analyzed with simple percentages and Chi-square at 〈 0.05 alpha level. Results： All the respondents in medical centre and sport unit oriented the students on the available medical services and facilities on campus： availability of first aid services, treatment services for complicated injuries （inpatient）, referral services for specialized care, financial support during hospitalization. Complementary results from the students showed that the majority of the respondents （50%） strongly agreed that medical centre was available in the Campus, and 36% strongly affirmed to availability of first aid services. Thirty four percent of the respondents strongly agreed to the availability of treatment services, while 40% of the respondent agreed to the availability of free medical services. The study revealed that there was a significant relationship between efficient medical services and students＇ participation in sports. Conclusion： All medical services were available but students perceive the services as inefficient which implies poor or non utilization.

Assessing Sport and Recreation Programmes＇ Service Quality at Hotels and Resorts＂ Towards Enhancing Customer Participation

Many issues and challenges are faced by the managers programmes today. Although many previous researches on and professionals in managing sport and recreation service quality provided by the organizations had been explored, very few studies pertaining to service quality in sport and recreation programmes in local hotels and resorts have been emphasized. This study aims to assess customers＇ perceptions of service quality in sport and recreation programmes and to determine the differences between customers＇ perceptions of service quality in terms of their gender and nationality. A total of 450 respondents from the hotels and resorts located in coastal areas of the northern Peninsular Malaysia participated in the survey. They were asked to respond to a series of the adapted service quality （SERVQUAL） items to measure five dimensions of service quality including tangibles, assurance, responsiveness, reliability, and empathy. Results from this study revealed that the customers＇ perceptions of the overall services in sport and recreation programmes provided by the hotels and resorts were satisfactory. It was also indicated that there was no significant difference between male and female customers＇ perceptions of service quality in sport and recreation programmes. Conversely, the results revealed that there was a significant difference between local and foreign customers＇ perceptions of sport and recreation services provided. These findings had implications on sport and recreation programmes in relation to designing effective management and marketing strategies at hotels and resorts.

A Smart Wellness Service Platform and Its Practical Implementation

Advances in the field of medical sciences and medical technology,and present-day challenges,such as an aging population,rising medical expenses,and lifestyle-related diseases,have collectively catalyzed a research ecosystem termed“smart wellness.”This article describes the establishment of a smart wellness service platform designed to empower individuals to create a sense of balance in their lives.Step-by-step details include service model,design,and architectural considerations.As a proof of concept,implementation details of a Health Improvement and Management Systems(HIMS)Hub,a Smart Wellness Service Platform deployed in six cities in South Korea,are presented.An on-site survey conducted in Busan Metropolitan City reveals the percentage of satisfied users to be 91.3%.Furthermore,data gathered from 27,236 physical evaluations of users from a Busan city center over the period of April 2013 to May 2018 reveal that males and females in their 50s and 60s account for the highest number of participants,while males in their 70s have a higher rate of participation than females in the same age group.

Collegiate athletes'mental health services utilization:A systematic review of conceptualizations,operationalizations,facilitators,and barriers

Background: While mental health among collegiate athletes is receiving increased attention, research on factors surrounding collegiate athletes' decision to seek mental health services is limited. The goal of the present review was to analyze and synthesize the current literature concerning collegiate athletes' utilization of mental health services, including the facilitators of and barriers to use of these services.Methods: The analysis was guided and organized using a socio-ecological framework, which considered the unique context in which collegiate athletes study and perform. A total of 21 articles, published between 2005 and 2016, which concern U.S. collegiate athletes' mental health services utilization(MHSU) were selected and included for the final analysis. Conceptualizations and operationalizations of MHSU were compared and contrasted. Facilitators of and barriers to athletes MHSU were examined and summarized while appropriately considering the proximity of each factor(facilitator or barrier) to the athletes.Results: Results showed variations in conceptualizations and operationalizations of MHSU in the articles analyzed, which made interpretation and cross comparison difficult. Collegiate athletes are willing to utilize mental health services, but gender, perceived stigma, peer norms—for athletes and coaches—plus service availability impact their MHSU.Conclusion: Key stakeholders, administrators, and public health officials should partner to eliminate MHSU barriers, support facilitators, and generally empower collegiate athletes to actively manage their mental health.

Fans＇ Online Services Expectations and Experiences： The Case of National Basketball Association

The purpose of this study was to examine the online service expectations of fans of professional sport. Participants were asked about their online experience and the impact it had on a number of variables, including satisfaction and service quality. Three dimensions regarding the online experience were identified. First, the core product represents the set of items influencing fans＇ perceptions of the quality of the game; second, the ancillary products characterizing the derivative products related to the game; and finally, the efficiency of support services used to access the core and ancillary products online. The study found that although respondents reported higher expectations of the core product than of the ancillary products, their expectations of support services efficiency were also very high. Understanding fans＇ specific expectations enables sport organizations to identify and fulfill fans＇ expectations of their online experience. The study＇s results are reviewed in the context of previous research and practice to suggest a future research protocol to aid managers＇ understanding of online fans＇ expectations and satisfaction with service provided.

Planning Sports Facilities Based on a Multicriteria Model Built in GIS Environment

The objective of this work is to evaluate the coverage of the sports facilities at Oeiras Municipality,near Lisbon,in Portugal,identifying the well-served areas and those with deficit coverage,according to the national norms for sports facilities programming and characterization,based on a self methodology,in a geographic information system(GIS)environment.For the deficit covered areas,a multicriteria analysis was developed,based on the established national criteria,which allow the identification and prioritization of interventioned areas for sports facilities.The results obtained by the application of this tool enable more informed and more detailed knowledge of the Oeiras Municipality sports supply,providing essential information for decision making in the planning of sports facilities.

对美、英、日三国基本公共体育服务标准化推动健康国家建设的政策、特征及经验进行研究,认为:美、英、日等发达国家率先开展了以基本公共体育服务标准化推动健康国家建设的顶层设计并各具政策特色,呈现权益保障均等化、治理主体多元化和校社资源一体化等共性特征,形成定性表述与定量要求相结合的标准化指标制定、政府主导与社会参与相结合的标准化政策实施、客观测量与主观评价相结合的标准化绩效评价、宏观调控与微观规制相结合的标准化治理架构等共同经验。结合域外经验及本土问题提出建议:细化标准指标制定,推动健康服务高质量发展;强化标准协同实施,推进健康保障持续性完善;规范标准绩效评价,促进健康监督全方位升级;优化标准执行架构,助力健康公平精细化治理。
