Both field areas are located in Gunungkidul district, South-Central of Java Island, with that 93% at those areas are 185 m to 500 m above sea level and high proportion of multiple cropping systems (MCS). The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of different cropping method on growth, crop index and yield response to water of rice in rainfed agriculture. Mathematical models were developed to describe rice growth. The rice height was followed monomolecular function and the number of tillers followed exponential polynomial function. Crop index was calculated from climate data during plant growth phase. And yield response to water was calculated from actual evapotranspiration (ETa) and the maximum evapotranspiration (ETm). The results showed that the height of rice was not significantly different between each combination (P 〉 0.05). Number of tillers was also not significant (P 〉 0.05). However, monoculture treatment had more number of tillers than rice in MCS. Crop index of rice at Saptosari was higher than at Tanjungsari. Based on the calculation of evapotranspiration (ET), water deficit at initial was less than at mid-season (ETa 〈 ETm) and affected water stress. Statistical analysis showed that cropping methods did not significantly affect rice growth and yield (P 〉 0.05).展开更多

(a globally recognized invasive alien weed) on six popular agricultural crops of Bangladesh. The test was conducted in sterilized petridishes with a photoperiod of 24 hours and an average temperature of 29℃. The effect of different concentrations ofL. camara leaf extracts were recorded and compared with control (i.e., distil water). Result showed different concentrations of aqueous leaf extracts caused significant inhibitory effect on germination, root and shoot elongation and development of lateral roots of receptor crops. Bioassays also indicated that the inhibitory effect was proportional to the concentrations of the extracts and higher concentration had the stronger inhibitory effect whereas the lower concentration showed stimulatory effect in some cases. The inhibitory effect was much pronounced in root and lateral root development rather than shoot and germination.展开更多

The experimental design was factorial with 4 origins×3 fertilizers×8 month durations. After planting, growth parameters and dendrometric measurements were carried out monthly during eight months. Data were analyzed using a Statgraphics program and Duncan test. The results showed that plant of Tanzania and Mozambique origin had higher germination rate in field 75% and 69.5%, respectively. The survival rate of transplants was 100% for Cameroon origin and 98.48% for Senegal origin. NPK and cow dung significantly (P 〈 0.05) increased the growth parameters height, diameter, number of ramifications, leaves and fruits of Jatropha curcas. In addition Jatropha from Cameroon origin exhibited the highest growing conditions and high fruit yield, then highlighting its potential for the biofuel program of the country. But significant improvement needs to be done, particularly on the level of fertilizer needed.展开更多

文摘Vegetables are vital for human health and are consumed five days a week in Cambodia. However, the production cannot meet domestic demands due to labor-intensive farming and production costs related to soil tillage.Mechanization is needed along with soil quality and sustainability improvements by the adoption of CA(Conservation Agriculture). The research aimed to compare the performance of the no-till vegetable transplanter with punch-planter in CA and hand transplanting in CT(Conventional Tillage). The study was conducted at the Royal University of Agriculture,Cambodia, starting from January to September 2020,by firstly growing sunn hemp as a cover crop and then transplanting Thai round eggplant.A randomized complete block design was used with three treatments, replicated three times. Each plot was 2 m by 15 m,with 0.2-m row spacing. The results showed that the transplanter speed was 0.54 kmh^-1,almost two times the speed of punch planter and 9 times the speed of hand transplanting. The highest working capacity was also achieved with the transplanter. However, different transplanting did not affect plant spacing,or plant density.Plant spacing was 1 m,and plant density varied from 10,300 to 11,500 plantsha-1.Plant growth and yield were also not influenced by the transplanter in CA,or hand transplanting in CT.Average fruit diameter, fruit weight, fruit number, and yield were 38 mm,31.4 gfruit-1,15.7 fruitsplant-1 and 3.9 tha-1,respectively.The maximum working area of the transplanter and its break-even area were 25.2 ha·y^-1 and 18.3 ha·y^-1,respectively.Using the no-till transplanter may save both time and labor, but its use in combination with CA was unlikely to affect plant growth and yield in the short term.
文摘The proposal of"Belt and Road Initiative"has brought greater opportunities for the development of China's agricultural trade, but in recent years,China's agricultural trade deficit has shown a trend of gradually expanding.Based on the data of seven years from 2012 to 2018,this paper empirically analyzes the agricultural trade effect of China's economic growth. It is concluded that the consumption effect of agricultural trade in China's economic growth is anti-trade biased, the production effect and comprehensive effect of agricultural trade are pro-trade biased, and China's terms of trade of agricultural products tend to improve. This paper puts forward some relevant suggestions from the aspects of export structure, production mode, agricultural product processing, logistics mode,e-commerce system, inspection and quarantine and so on.
文摘China's macro economy has remained in a good and stable condition overall, experiencing an annual GDP growth of over 10% for several consecutive years.Under this basic condition, the main focus of the Outlook was China's current grain and oil supply, and the demand market with its probable future prices.
文摘We conduct empirical analysis of the contribution of various sectors of agriculture in Xinjiang to agricultural economic growth, and the impact of adjustment of these sectors on agricultural economic growth. The results show that the growth of farming has the greatest force to drive the growth of total agricultural output in Xinjiang, followed by animal husbandry;the rate of contribution of these two production sectors, farming and animal husbandry, not only shows high-frequency fluctuation, but also shows reverse fluctuation;the effect arising from adjustment of farming is gradually spreading to animal husbandry, forestry and fishery one by one,but the spreading rate is low. Finally the countermeasures and proposals are put forward to further adjust agricultural structure and promote agricultural economic growth of Xinjiang under the Twelfth Five-Year Plan as follows:adjust the industrial structure steadily, address the industry convergence and broaden the income-increase channels for the farmers;strengthen the input to adjustment of agricultural structure;stick to the combination of internal adjustment and external adjustment of agricultural industry.

文摘Agriculture is the foundation of national economy, and agricultural development is related to the rapid development of long-term stability of the society and economy. Agriculture includes farming, forestry, animal husbandry, and fisheries. Agricultural listed company as an agricultural enterprise " leader",which directly affects the development of the entire growth of the agricultural industry development and policy,so the study of agricultural listed company's growth is particularly important. This paper uses AHP weighting method to evaluate 2012 financial data on the growth of agricultural listed companies.
