The aim of this paper is to set up an efficient nonlinear application algorithm predictive model for a multi aircraft landing dynamic system called “Aircraft Landing Dynamic System, Release 2019<em>A</em>+ version “<em>AIRLADYS R</em>2019<em>A</em>+”. This programming software combines dynamic programming technic for mathematical computing and optimisation run under AMPL and KNITRO Solver. It uses also a descriptive programming technic for software design. The user interfaces designed in Glade are saved as XML, and by using the GtkBuilder GTK+ object these can be loaded by applications dynamically as needed. By using GtkBuilder, Glade XML files can be used in numerous programming languages including C, C++, C#, Java, Perl, Python, AMPL, etc. Glade is Free Software released under the GNU GPL License. By these tools, the solved problem is a mathematical modelization problem as a non-convex optimal control governed by ordinary non-linear differential equations. The dynamic programming technic is applied because it is a sufficiently high order and it does not require computation of the partial derivatives of the aircraft dynamic. This application will be coded with Linux system on 64 bit operating system, but it can also be run on the windows system. High running performances are obtained with results giving feasible trajectories with a robust optimizing of the objective function. 展开更多

To effectively estimate the unknown aerodynamic parameters from the aircraft’s flight data, this paper proposes a novel aerodynamic parameter estimation method incorporating a stacked Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM)network model and the Levenberg-Marquardt(LM)method.The stacked LSTM network model was designed to realize the aircraft dynamics modeling by utilizing a frame of nonlinear functional mapping based entirely on the measured input-output data of the aircraft system without requiring explicit postulation of the dynamics. The LM method combines the already-trained LSTM network model to optimize the unknown aerodynamic parameters. The proposed method is applied by using the real flight data, generated by ATTAS aircraft and a bio-inspired morphing Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV).The investigation reveals that for the two different flight data, the designed stacked LSTM network structure can maintain the efficacy of the network prediction capability only by appropriately adjusting the dropout rates of its hidden layers without changing other network parameters(i.e.,the initial weights, initial biases, number of hidden cells,time-steps,learning rate, and number of training iterations).Besides, the proposed method’s effectiveness and potential are demonstrated by comparing the estimated results of the ATTAS aircraft or the bio-inspired morphing UAV with the corresponding reference values or wind-tunnel results. 展开更多

The flight safety is threatened by the special flight conditions and the low speed of carrier-based aircraft ski-jump takeoff. The aircraft carrier motion, aircraft dynamics, landing gears and wind field of sea state are comprehensively considered to dispose this multidiscipline intersection problem. According to the particular naval operating environment of the carrier-based aircraft ski-jump takeoff, the integrated dynamic simulation models of multi-body system are developed, which involves the movement entities of the carrier, the aircraft and the landing gears, and involves takeoff instruction, control system and the deck wind disturbance. Based on Matlab/Simulink environment, the multi-body system simulation is realized. The validity of the model and the rationality of the result are verified by an example simulation of carrier-based aircraft ski-jump takeoff. The simulation model and the software are suitable for the study of the multidiscipline intersection problems which are involved in the performance, flight quality and safety of carrier-based aircraft takeoff, the effects of landing gear loads, parameters of carrier deck, etc. 展开更多

Air pollution is one of the main factors that affect the air quality in aircraft cabins, and the use of different air supply modes could influence the distribution of air pollutants in cabins. Based on the traditional ceiling air supply mode used on the B737NG, this study investigated another 3 different kinds of air supply modes for comparison: luggage rack air supply mode, joint mode combining ceiling and luggage rack air supply, and joint mode combining ceiling and individual air supply. Under the above 4 air supply modes, the air velocity, temperature and distribution of air pollutants in a cabin full of passengers were studied using computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and carbon dioxide (CO2) and formaldehyde were selected as 2 kinds of representative air pollutants. The simulation results show that the joint mode combining ceiling and individual air supply can create a more uniform distribution of air velocity and temperature, has a better effect on the removal of CO2 and formaldehyde, and can provide better air quality in cabins than the other 3 modes. 展开更多

Airdrop is the most important approach for crisis transaction and unexpected events, it is necessary to investigate the flight characteristics of transport aircraft during the dropping process. This paper mainly focuses on the stability, controllability and model simplification of large aircraft with heavy cargo airdrop. In this process, the primary elements which have impact on force and moment are studied theoretically, the role of cargo mass, moving parameters and other factors on dynamical characteristics have been assessed by simulation and analysis. And then the aircraft model simplification is completed for control system designing in future. All the work above shows that the parameters of cargo moving play a dominant role in flight characteristics and the flight equations can be simplified to reduce the design complexity. 展开更多

Icing is one of the crucial factors that could pose great threat to flight safety, and thus research on stability and stability region of aircraft safety under icing conditions is significant for control and flight.Nonlinear dynamical equations and models of aerodynamic coefficients of an aircraft are set up in this paper to study the stability and stability region of the aircraft under an icing condition.Firstly, the equilibrium points of the iced aircraft system are calculated and analyzed based on the theory of differential equation stability.Secondly, according to the correlation theory about equilibrium points and the stability region, this paper estimates the multidimensional stability region of the aircraft, based on which the stability regions before and after icing are compared. Finally, the results are confirmed by the time history analysis. The results can give a reference for stability analysis and envelope protection of the nonlinear system of an iced aircraft. 展开更多
