Online review platforms are becoming increasingly popular,encouraging dishonest merchants and service providers to deceive customers by creating fake reviews for their goods or services.Using Sybil accounts,bot farms,and real account purchases,immoral actors demonize rivals and advertise their goods.Most academic and industry efforts have been aimed at detecting fake/fraudulent product or service evaluations for years.The primary hurdle to identifying fraudulent reviews is the lack of a reliable means to distinguish fraudulent reviews from real ones.This paper adopts a semi-supervised machine learning method to detect fake reviews on any website,among other things.Online reviews are classified using a semi-supervised approach(PU-learning)since there is a shortage of labeled data,and they are dynamic.Then,classification is performed using the machine learning techniques Support Vector Machine(SVM)and Nave Bayes.The performance of the suggested system has been compared with standard works,and experimental findings are assessed using several assessment metrics. 展开更多

为了解决机器人路径规划中传统A^(*)算法和动态窗口法(DWA)存在的遍历节点较多、冗余点较多以及路径不平滑,缺乏全局引导,易陷入局部最优以及安全性低等问题,提出融合改进A^(*)算法和随机避障动态窗口法(ROA-DWA)的路径规划算法.该算法... 为了解决机器人路径规划中传统A^(*)算法和动态窗口法(DWA)存在的遍历节点较多、冗余点较多以及路径不平滑,缺乏全局引导,易陷入局部最优以及安全性低等问题,提出融合改进A^(*)算法和随机避障动态窗口法(ROA-DWA)的路径规划算法.该算法通过启发式函数的权重调整、Floyd算法、冗余点删除策略、静态和动态障碍物分类处理和速度自适应因子等方式来提高搜索效率,减少路径长度和拐点数量,将已知障碍物对路径的影响最小化,大幅提高动态避障效率,使得机器人在平稳到达目标点的同时还提升了机器人的安全性,更好地适应复杂的动态和静态环境.实验结果表明,该算法具有较好的全局最优性和局部避障能力,在大型地图中展现出更好的优势. 展开更多

This paper introduces a newmetaheuristic algorithmcalledMigration Algorithm(MA),which is helpful in solving optimization problems.The fundamental inspiration of MA is the process of human migration,which aims to improve job,educational,economic,and living conditions,and so on.Themathematicalmodeling of the proposed MAis presented in two phases to empower the proposed approach in exploration and exploitation during the search process.In the exploration phase,the algorithm population is updated based on the simulation of choosing the migration destination among the available options.In the exploitation phase,the algorithm population is updated based on the efforts of individuals in the migration destination to adapt to the new environment and improve their conditions.MA’s performance is evaluated on fifty-two standard benchmark functions consisting of unimodal and multimodal types and the CEC 2017 test suite.In addition,MA’s results are compared with the performance of twelve well-known metaheuristic algorithms.The optimization results show the proposed MA approach’s high ability to balance exploration and exploitation to achieve suitable solutions for optimization problems.The analysis and comparison of the simulation results show that MA has provided superior performance against competitor algorithms in most benchmark functions.Also,the implementation of MA on four engineering design problems indicates the effective capability of the proposed approach in handling optimization tasks in real-world applications. 展开更多

With the recent increase in network attacks by threats,malware,and other sources,machine learning techniques have gained special attention for intrusion detection due to their ability to classify hundreds of features into normal system behavior or an attack attempt.However,feature selection is a vital preprocessing stage in machine learning approaches.This paper presents a novel feature selection-based approach,Remora Optimization Algorithm-Levy Flight(ROA-LF),to improve intrusion detection by boosting the ROA performance with LF.The developed ROA-LF is assessed using several evaluation measures on five publicly available datasets for intrusion detection:Knowledge discovery and data mining tools competition,network security laboratory knowledge discovery and data mining,intrusion detection evaluation dataset,block out traffic network,Canadian institute of cybersecu-rity and three engineering problems:Cantilever beam design,three-bar truss design,and pressure vessel design.A comparative analysis between developed ROA-LF,particle swarm optimization,salp swarm algorithm,snake opti-mizer,and the original ROA methods is also presented.The results show that the developed ROA-LF is more efficient and superior to other feature selection methods and the three tested engineering problems for intrusion detection. 展开更多

Metaheuristic algorithms are one of themost widely used stochastic approaches in solving optimization problems.In this paper,a new metaheuristic algorithm entitled Billiards Optimization Algorithm(BOA)is proposed and designed to be used in optimization applications.The fundamental inspiration in BOA design is the behavior of the players and the rules of the billiards game.Various steps of BOA are described and then its mathematical model is thoroughly explained.The efficiency of BOA in dealing with optimization problems is evaluated through optimizing twenty-three standard benchmark functions of different types including unimodal,high-dimensional multimodal,and fixed-dimensionalmultimodal functions.In order to analyze the quality of the results obtained by BOA,the performance of the proposed approach is compared with ten well-known algorithms.The simulation results show that BOA,with its high exploration and exploitation abilities,achieves an impressive performance in providing solutions to objective functions and is superior and far more competitive compared to the ten competitor algorithms. 展开更多

Arrhythmia has been classified using a variety of methods.Because of the dynamic nature of electrocardiogram(ECG)data,traditional handcrafted approaches are difficult to execute,making the machine learning(ML)solutions more appealing.Patients with cardiac arrhythmias can benefit from competent monitoring to save their lives.Cardiac arrhythmia classification and prediction have greatly improved in recent years.Arrhythmias are a category of conditions in which the heart's electrical activity is abnormally rapid or sluggish.Every year,it is one of the main reasons of mortality for both men and women,worldwide.For the classification of arrhythmias,this work proposes a novel technique based on optimized feature selection and optimized K-nearest neighbors(KNN)classifier.The proposed method makes advantage of the UCI repository,which has a 279-attribute high-dimensional cardiac arrhythmia dataset.The proposed approach is based on dividing cardiac arrhythmia patients into 16 groups based on the electrocardiography dataset’s features.The purpose is to design an efficient intelligent system employing the dipper throated optimization method to categorize cardiac arrhythmia patients.This method of comprehensive arrhythmia classification outperforms earlier methods presented in the literature.The achieved classification accuracy using the proposed approach is 99.8%. 展开更多

In computer vision,convolutional neural networks have a wide range of uses.Images representmost of today’s data,so it’s important to know how to handle these large amounts of data efficiently.Convolutional neural networks have been shown to solve image processing problems effectively.However,when designing the network structure for a particular problem,you need to adjust the hyperparameters for higher accuracy.This technique is time consuming and requires a lot of work and domain knowledge.Designing a convolutional neural network architecture is a classic NP-hard optimization challenge.On the other hand,different datasets require different combinations of models or hyperparameters,which can be time consuming and inconvenient.Various approaches have been proposed to overcome this problem,such as grid search limited to low-dimensional space and queuing by random selection.To address this issue,we propose an evolutionary algorithm-based approach that dynamically enhances the structure of Convolution Neural Networks(CNNs)using optimized hyperparameters.This study proposes a method using Non-dominated sorted genetic algorithms(NSGA)to improve the hyperparameters of the CNN model.In addition,different types and parameter ranges of existing genetic algorithms are used.Acomparative study was conducted with various state-of-the-art methodologies and algorithms.Experiments have shown that our proposed approach is superior to previous methods in terms of classification accuracy,and the results are published in modern computing literature. 展开更多

Electrocardiogram(ECG)signal is a measure of the heart’s electrical activity.Recently,ECG detection and classification have benefited from the use of computer-aided systems by cardiologists.The goal of this paper is to improve the accuracy of ECG classification by combining the Dipper Throated Optimization(DTO)and Differential Evolution Algorithm(DEA)into a unified algorithm to optimize the hyperparameters of neural network(NN)for boosting the ECG classification accuracy.In addition,we proposed a new feature selection method for selecting the significant feature that can improve the overall performance.To prove the superiority of the proposed approach,several experimentswere conducted to compare the results achieved by the proposed approach and other competing approaches.Moreover,statistical analysis is performed to study the significance and stability of the proposed approach using Wilcoxon and ANOVA tests.Experimental results confirmed the superiority and effectiveness of the proposed approach.The classification accuracy achieved by the proposed approach is(99.98%). 展开更多

In a vehicular ad hoc network(VANET),a massive quantity of data needs to be transmitted on a large scale in shorter time durations.At the same time,vehicles exhibit high velocity,leading to more vehicle disconnections.Both of these characteristics result in unreliable data communication in VANET.A vehicle clustering algorithm clusters the vehicles in groups employed in VANET to enhance network scalability and connection reliability.Clustering is considered one of the possible solutions for attaining effectual interaction in VANETs.But one such difficulty was reducing the cluster number under increasing transmitting nodes.This article introduces an Evolutionary Hide Objects Game Optimization based Distance Aware Clustering(EHOGO-DAC)Scheme for VANET.The major intention of the EHOGO-DAC technique is to portion the VANET into distinct sets of clusters by grouping vehicles.In addition,the DHOGO-EAC technique is mainly based on the HOGO algorithm,which is stimulated by old games,and the searching agent tries to identify hidden objects in a given space.The DHOGO-EAC technique derives a fitness function for the clustering process,including the total number of clusters and Euclidean distance.The experimental assessment of the DHOGO-EAC technique was carried out under distinct aspects.The comparison outcome stated the enhanced outcomes of the DHOGO-EAC technique compared to recent approaches. 展开更多

The exponential use of artificial intelligence(AI)to solve and automated complex tasks has catapulted its popularity generating some challenges that need to be addressed.While AI is a powerfulmeans to discover interesting patterns and obtain predictive models,the use of these algorithms comes with a great responsibility,as an incomplete or unbalanced set of training data or an unproper interpretation of the models’outcomes could result in misleading conclusions that ultimately could become very dangerous.For these reasons,it is important to rely on expert knowledge when applying these methods.However,not every user can count on this specific expertise;non-AIexpert users could also benefit from applying these powerful algorithms to their domain problems,but they need basic guidelines to obtain themost out of AI models.The goal of this work is to present a systematic review of the literature to analyze studies whose outcomes are explainable rules and heuristics to select suitable AI algorithms given a set of input features.The systematic review follows the methodology proposed by Kitchenham and other authors in the field of software engineering.As a result,9 papers that tackle AI algorithmrecommendation through tangible and traceable rules and heuristics were collected.The reduced number of retrieved papers suggests a lack of reporting explicit rules and heuristics when testing the suitability and performance of AI algorithms. 展开更多

In the proposed method, implicit and explicit formulationsare used for strong and weak coupling, respectively. Three feasible partitioned algorithms are generated, namely(1) a strongly coupled algorithm that uses a fully implicit formulation for both types of coupling, (2) a weaklycoupled algorithm that uses a fully explicit formulation for both types of coupling, and (3) a partially stronglycoupled and partially weakly coupled algorithm that uses an implicit formulation and an explicit formulation forthe two types of coupling, respectively.Numerical examples using a piezoelectric energy harvester,which is a typicalstructure-piezoelectric-circuit coupling problem, demonstrate that the proposed method selects the most costeffectivealgorithm. 展开更多

The Gannet Optimization Algorithm (GOA) and the Whale Optimization Algorithm (WOA) demonstrate strong performance;however, there remains room for improvement in convergence and practical applications. This study introduces a hybrid optimization algorithm, named the adaptive inertia weight whale optimization algorithm and gannet optimization algorithm (AIWGOA), which addresses challenges in enhancing handwritten documents. The hybrid strategy integrates the strengths of both algorithms, significantly enhancing their capabilities, whereas the adaptive parameter strategy mitigates the need for manual parameter setting. By amalgamating the hybrid strategy and parameter-adaptive approach, the Gannet Optimization Algorithm was refined to yield the AIWGOA. Through a performance analysis of the CEC2013 benchmark, the AIWGOA demonstrates notable advantages across various metrics. Subsequently, an evaluation index was employed to assess the enhanced handwritten documents and images, affirming the superior practical application of the AIWGOA compared with other algorithms. 展开更多

A Rapid-exploration Random Tree(RRT)autonomous detection algorithm based on the multi-guide-node deflection strategy and Karto Simultaneous Localization and Mapping(SLAM)algorithm was proposed to solve the problems of low efficiency of detecting frontier boundary points and drift distortion in the process of map building in the traditional RRT algorithm in the autonomous detection strategy of mobile robot.Firstly,an RRT global frontier boundary point detection algorithm based on the multi-guide-node deflection strategy was put forward,which introduces the reference value of guide nodes’deflection probability into the random sampling function so that the global search tree can detect frontier boundary points towards the guide nodes according to random probability.After that,a new autonomous detection algorithm for mobile robots was proposed by combining the graph optimization-based Karto SLAM algorithm with the previously improved RRT algorithm.The algorithm simulation platform based on the Gazebo platform was built.The simulation results show that compared with the traditional RRT algorithm,the proposed RRT autonomous detection algorithm can effectively reduce the time of autonomous detection,plan the length of detection trajectory under the condition of high average detection coverage,and complete the task of autonomous detection mapping more efficiently.Finally,with the help of the ROS-based mobile robot experimental platform,the performance of the proposed algorithm was verified in the real environment of different obstacles.The experimental results show that in the actual environment of simple and complex obstacles,the proposed RRT autonomous detection algorithm was superior to the traditional RRT autonomous detection algorithm in the time of detection,length of detection trajectory,and average coverage,thus improving the efficiency and accuracy of autonomous detection. 展开更多

Cloud computing provides a diverse and adaptable resource pool over the internet,allowing users to tap into various resources as needed.It has been seen as a robust solution to relevant challenges.A significant delay can hamper the performance of IoT-enabled cloud platforms.However,efficient task scheduling can lower the cloud infrastructure’s energy consumption,thus maximizing the service provider’s revenue by decreasing user job processing times.The proposed Modified Chimp-Whale Optimization Algorithm called Modified Chimp-Whale Optimization Algorithm(MCWOA),combines elements of the Chimp Optimization Algorithm(COA)and the Whale Optimization Algorithm(WOA).To enhance MCWOA’s identification precision,the Sobol sequence is used in the population initialization phase,ensuring an even distribution of the population across the solution space.Moreover,the traditional MCWOA’s local search capabilities are augmented by incorporating the whale optimization algorithm’s bubble-net hunting and random search mechanisms into MCWOA’s position-updating process.This study demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed approach using a two-story rigid frame and a simply supported beam model.Simulated outcomes reveal that the new method outperforms the original MCWOA,especially in multi-damage detection scenarios.MCWOA excels in avoiding false positives and enhancing computational speed,making it an optimal choice for structural damage detection.The efficiency of the proposed MCWOA is assessed against metrics such as energy usage,computational expense,task duration,and delay.The simulated data indicates that the new MCWOA outpaces other methods across all metrics.The study also references the Whale Optimization Algorithm(WOA),Chimp Algorithm(CA),Ant Lion Optimizer(ALO),Genetic Algorithm(GA)and Grey Wolf Optimizer(GWO). 展开更多
