Temporary plugging agent(TPA)is widely used in many fields of petroleum reservoir drilling and production,such as temporary plugging while drilling and petroleum well stimulation by diverting in acidizing or fracturin...Temporary plugging agent(TPA)is widely used in many fields of petroleum reservoir drilling and production,such as temporary plugging while drilling and petroleum well stimulation by diverting in acidizing or fracturing operations.The commonly used TPA mainly includes hard particles,fibers,gels,and composite systems.However,current particles have many limitations in applications,such as insufficient plugging strength and slow degradation rate.In this paper,a degradable pre-formed particle gel(DPPG)was developed.Experimental results show that the DPPG has an excellent static swelling effect and self-degradation performance.With a decrease in the concentration of total monomers or cross-linker,the swelling volume of the synthesized DPPG gradually increases.However,the entire self-degradation time gradually decreases.The increase in 2-acrylamide-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid(AMPS)in the DPPG composition can significantly increase its swelling ratio and shorten the self-degradation time.Moreover,DPPG has excellent high-temperature resistance(150°C)and high-salinity resistance(200,000 mg/L NaCl).Core displacement results show that the DPPG has a perfect plugging effect in the porous media(the plugging pressure gradient was as high as 21.12 MPa),and the damage to the formation after degradation is incredibly minor.Therefore,the DPPG can be used as an up-and-coming TPA in oil fields.展开更多
[Objectives]This study was conducted to improve the quality of frozen silver carp surimi products.[Methods]Huangzhou radish powder and silver carp surimi were used as raw materials to analyze the effects of different ...[Objectives]This study was conducted to improve the quality of frozen silver carp surimi products.[Methods]Huangzhou radish powder and silver carp surimi were used as raw materials to analyze the effects of different amounts(1%,2%,3%,4%,5%)of Huangzhou radish powder on the water-holding capacity,cooking loss rate,whiteness value,TPA,gel strength and sensory quality of surimi products.[Results]When the addition amount of Huangzhou radish powder was 1%,water-holding capacity,hardness,chewiness and the gel strength of the surimi product reached their maximum values,which were 86.86%,3470.36 g,2628.50 g and 707.48 g·mm,respectively.Meanwhile,the cooking loss rate was reduced to a minimum value(13.66%),and the sensory quality reached the best.The whiteness of surimi products showed a decreasing trend with the increase of the addition amount of Huangzhou radish powder.However,the whiteness of the surimi product was not significantly affected when the addition amount of Huangzhou radish powder was 1%.Therefore,when the addition amount of Huangzhou radish powder was 1%,the quality of surimi products could be improved.[Conclusions]This study provides a new idea for the development and utilization of Huangzhou radish.展开更多

Experiment focus on the effect of some important affecting factors on photo-hydrogen production. Results indicated that immobilized Rhodopseudomonas faecalis RLD-53 exhibited the highest hydrogen yield of 3.15 mol H2/mol acetate under follow optimal condition: agar granule diameter of 2.5 mm, inoculum age of 24 h, agar concentration of 2%, biomass of 4 mg/ml in agar and light intensity of 9000 lux. More importantly, immobilized photo-fermentation bacteria not only can enhance hydrogen production but can increase acids-tolerance capacity, even at pH 5.0 hydrogen also was produced, and thus hopefully immobilized photo-fermentation bacteria can be applied in the combination of dark and photo-fermentation for hydrogen production with high yield.展开更多

The therapeutic benefits of Aloe gel could be extended to food products concomitantly improving its acceptability. Dahi/curd is an Asian fermented dairy product that enjoys tremendous mass appeal. The objective of the present study was to formulate dahi enriched with Aloe gel (AG) as a functional ingredient and to study its effect on the quality of dahi. Plain dahi was prepared by addition of 2.5% skimmed milk powder (SMP) and suitable starter to milk. For the preparation of AG enriched dahi, SMP was replaced by AG at different levels (0.1-0.25%). The products were evaluated for moisture, pH, titrable acidity (TA), whey syneresis (WS), total solid content (TS), water holding capacity (WHC), total yield (TY), whiteness index (WI), and viscosity. Microbial analysis and sensory evaluation were also carried out. Enrichment of dahi with AG was found to improve its quality characteristics by causing a significant reduction in WS and an increase in TA, TS, WHC, TY, WI and viscosity. AG dahi recorded good sensory acceptability. Storage study also indicated AG dahi to perform better in terms of the various parameters studied. The present investigation suggests the feasibility of adding Aloe gel powder as a functional ingredient to dahi to enhance product quality as well as its nutritional and therapeutic potency. It could be commercially exploited as a novel product.展开更多
Natural products,as a gift of nature to humanity,have long been used as drugs or pharmacological actives to help people cure various diseases.Yet we still know comparatively little about their ability to be materials....Natural products,as a gift of nature to humanity,have long been used as drugs or pharmacological actives to help people cure various diseases.Yet we still know comparatively little about their ability to be materials.In recent years,some small molecule natural products isolated from traditional Chinese medicines have been found to have new features,namely,self-assembly to form gels(i.e.,natural product gels,NPG).However,the application development of these natural products is seriously lacking,which greatly weakens their practical value and delays the maturity of the field.Here,a series of selfassembled triterpenoid natural products are used as materials(gel scaffolds)to construct drug delivery systems.Surprisingly,these NPG not only exhibit the excellent self-healing,controlled gelation,good safety and sustained release,but also achieve synergistic treatment of tumors through bioactive natural products.Compared with non-bioactive gel scaffolds,NPG scaffolds show great advantages in tumor therapy,including optimal tumor inhibition,preferable health,better body recovery,stronger immune function,less toxic side effects and longer survival.The successful construction of NPG scaffolds not only takes full advantage of the self-assembled natural products,but also takes an important step in the development of new applications for natural products.展开更多
