The composites were subjected to heat treatment at temperature of 650-950 ~C for 60 min. The results show that the heat treatment process results in a great enhancement of diffusion and microstructural transformation. The shear strength decreases as the treatment temperature increases. Heated at 850 ℃ or below, their shear strength decreases slowly as a result of the formation of TiC in the diffusion interaction layer; while at the temperature of 850 ℃ or above, the shear strength decreases obviously, which is the consequence of a large amount of Ti-Fe intermetaUics (Fe2Ti/FeTi) along with some TiC distributing continuously at diffusion reaction layer.展开更多

The plates with thickness of 8. 7 mm in which the ferrite grain size is smaller than 8μm have been produced by special de- formation process in the laboratory. Furthermore, the trial production of special plain carbon steel plates of 16-25 mm in thickness and 2 000- 2 800 mm in width with fine grained ferrite has been successfully carried out in the Shougang Steel Plate Rolling Plant. The ferrite grain size is 5.5-7μm in the surface layers and 9.5-15μm in the central layer respectively. The yield strength is 320- 360 MPa, tensile strength is 440-520 MPa and the elongation is 25%- 34 %. It is very important for the rolling plants to improve the low carbon steel plates' mechanical properties. The results show that the ferrite grains in the surface layer can be refined effectively by the appropriate rolling process, and the strength can be also increased.展开更多

The results show that the mechanical properties of the rolled plate are inhomogeneous along the thickness direction. From the surface to the center, the strength shows an inverted "N" shape change and the elongation presents a semi "U" shape change. Several similar structural units composed of long fibrous grains(LFG) and short fibrous grains bands(SFGB) exist in a special layer(Layer 2) adjacent to the surface. This alternating layered distribution of LFG and SFGB is conducive to improving the plasticity by dispersing the plastic deformation concentrated on the boundary line(BL) between them. However, their different deformability will cause the alternation of additional stresses during the hot rolling, leading to the strength reduction. The closer the location to the center of the plate is, the more likely the recovery rather than the recrystallization occurs. This is the possible reason for the unnegligible difference in strength near the central region(Layer 4 and Layer 5).展开更多

Given the lack of relevant results anddata in the literature, in the present study, we concentrate on the experimental determination of the flow coefficientfor the annular orifice, the pressure distribution in the MCOP, and the characteristics of the choked flow itself. Asconfirmed by the experimental results, the Reynolds number, the orifice plate thickness, the plug taper, and theeccentricity have an obvious influence on the aforementioned flow coefficient. The pressure drop in the MCOPis mainly generated near the orifice plate, and the pressure upstream of the orifice plate is slightly reduced in theflow direction, while the pressure downstream of the orifice plate displays a recovery trend. The choked flow rateof the MCOP can be adjusted by replacing the spring with a maximum flow control deviation of 4.91%.展开更多

To achieve the high accuracy forming, the temperature gradient mechanism (TGM) is studied. In the analysis of TGM, the plate bends about x-axis and about y-axis as well. To understand the deformation trend, the numerical simulation of deformation of plate is conducted by choosing different laser powers, laser spot diameters, scanning speeds, lengths, widths and thicknesses. From the results of simulation, it can be seen that the laser spot diameter, the scanning speed, laser power and thickness of plate play dominant roles in the laser forming process. However, the bending angles αx and αy show different trends with the variation of parameters. In addition, in comparison with above four parameters, the effect of length and width of plate on the beading angle may be neglected, but their effects are significant for the bending radius R.展开更多

The detail analysis of focal mechanism in the Burmese Arc and its vicinity now implicates two dominant factors responsible for the prevailing stress field in the region. The first is the Indian Plate motion, which produces a SSW-NNE compressive stressl the second is the overthrusting of the Eurasian Plate above the indian Plate, which results in a NEE-SWW compressive stress and a tensile stress approximately perpendicular to the main tectonic lines. The flow of material from the deep crust of Tibet to Burmese region facilitates the overthrusting. The two share a common dynamic source, namely, the NNE motion of the Indian Plate.展开更多

As one of most commonly used products, the carbon steel checkered plate requires a high-cost coating for corrosion resistance. Although the austenitic stainless steel checkered plate meets corrosion resistance requirements ,it does not necessarily provide high overall performance due to its low yield strength, which means greater thickness and weight. Combining the advantages of stainless and carbon structural steel, Baosteel has developed a new roll-bonded clad checkered plate that exhibits high performance in skid resistance, strength, and corrosion resistance. Metallographic analysis shows the cladding interfaces to be very good, with stainless steel filling the whole pattern and a uniform microstructure in the different cladding layers. The yield strength and tensile strength of the product are 470 MPa and 610 MPa, respectively. In addition, the fracture morphology exhibits excellent interfacial bonding properties. We performed external and internal bend tests at room temperature, 180°, and 0.7a without the development of any cracks, which indicates its excellent formability.展开更多
Inclusion of dissipation and memory mechanisms, non-classical elasticity and thermal effects in the currently used plate/shell mathematical models require that we establish if these mathematical models can be derived ...Inclusion of dissipation and memory mechanisms, non-classical elasticity and thermal effects in the currently used plate/shell mathematical models require that we establish if these mathematical models can be derived using the conservation and balance laws of continuum mechanics in conjunction with the corresponding kinematic assumptions. This is referred to as thermodynamic consistency of the mathematical models. Thermodynamic consistency ensures thermodynamic equilibrium during the evolution of the deformation. When the mathematical models are thermodynamically consistent, the second law of thermodynamics facilitates consistent derivations of constitutive theories in the presence of dissipation and memory mechanisms. This is the main motivation for the work presented in this paper. In the currently used mathematical models for plates/shells based on the assumed kinematic relations, energy functional is constructed over the volume consisting of kinetic energy, strain energy and the potential energy of the loads. The Euler’s equations derived from the first variation of the energy functional for arbitrary length when set to zero yield the mathematical model(s) for the deforming plates/shells. Alternatively, principle of virtual work can also be used to derive the same mathematical model(s). For linear elastic reversible deformation physics with small deformation and small strain, these two approaches, based on energy functional and the principle of virtual work, yield the same mathematical models. These mathematical models hold for reversible mechanical deformation. In this paper, we examine whether the currently used plate/shell mathematical models with the corresponding kinematic assumptions can be derived using the conservation and balance laws of classical or non-classical continuum mechanics. The mathematical models based on Kirchhoff hypothesis (classical plate theory, CPT) and first order shear deformation theory (FSDT) that are representative of most mathematical models for plates/shells are investigated in this paper for their thermodynamic consistency. This is followed by the details of a general and higher order thermodynamically consistent plate/shell thermoelastic mathematical model that is free of a priori consideration of kinematic assumptions and remains valid for very thin as well as thick plates/shells with comprehensive nonlinear constitutive theories based on integrity. Model problem studies are presented for small deformation behavior of linear elastic plates in the absence of thermal effects and the results are compared with CPT and FSDT mathematical models.展开更多

文摘Considering the specialities of the steel plate production, the TMCP study has been carried out with Gleeble 2000 tester to explore the possibility of fine grained ferrite in the low carbon steel plates with the chemical composition of C 0.13--0.18, Si 0.12-0.18, Mn 0.50-0. 65, P 0. 010-0. 025, and S 0. 005-0. 028. The results show that the ferrite grains in the surface layer can be refined effectively by the appropriate rolling process, and the strength can be also increased.

文摘The microstructure and mechanical properties of 105 mm thick 5083 aluminum alloy hot rolled plate were investigated by metallurgical microscope, scanning electron microscope and tensile testing machine, and three major characteristic problems in mechanical properties inhomogeneity were explained. This is the possible reason for the unnegligible difference in strength near the central region(Layer 4 and Layer 5).

文摘Electroless Ni-Fe-P alloy plating on the surface of CNTs was carded out with a bath using citrate salt and lactic acid as complex agents. We proposed a chemical reaction mechanism. The morphology, structure and chemical composition of the Ni-Fe-P/CNTs were studied with the aid of a scanning electronic microscope (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and an energy-dispersive X-ray spectral analysis (EDS). The results show that through a correct pre-treatment and electroless plating, Ni-Fe-P/CNTs composite particles can be obtained. The optimum electroless plating parameters of 35-42℃ and pH of 8.5-9.7 were achieved. The as-plated Ni-Fe-P alloy is amorphous. After a heat treatment at 500℃ for 90 min in H2, the coating is transformed into crystalloid Ni3E Fe2NiP and (Fe,Ni)3R The Ni-Fe-P alloy coating on the surface of CNTs is smooth and unique. The amount of Ni on the surface (mass fraction) of the Ni-Fe-P/CNTs composite particles is 29.13%, that of Fe 3.19% and that of P 2.28%.

文摘The mechanically choked orifice plate (MCOP) is a new type of device for flow control by which choking conditionsfor incompressible fluids can be obtained with relatively small pressure losses. The choked flow rateof the MCOP can be adjusted by replacing the spring with a maximum flow control deviation of 4.91%.
文摘Laser forraing is a new flexible and dieless forming technique. In addition, in comparison with above four parameters, the effect of length and width of plate on the beading angle may be neglected, but their effects are significant for the bending radius R.
文摘It is generally accepted that the Burmese Arc represents a transition zone between the Himalayan collision belt and the Indonesian Arc. The two share a common dynamic source, namely, the NNE motion of the Indian Plate.

文摘Lithium(Li)metal is regarded as a promising anode material to render the Li batteries with high energy density and therefore satisfy the ever-growing energy demands of high-end storage devices[1].Unfortunately,the dendrite growth accompanied with accumulation of"dead Li"leads to low Coulombic efficiency, poor cycling lifespan, and even severe safety hazards, critically hindering the practical implementation of Li metal batteries[2,3].
文摘The checkered plate, also known as the floor/pattern plate ,has a raised pattern that provides excellent skid resistance for a wide range of applications. We performed external and internal bend tests at room temperature, 180°, and 0.7a without the development of any cracks, which indicates its excellent formability.
文摘Inclusion of dissipation and memory mechanisms, non-classical elasticity and thermal effects in the currently used plate/shell mathematical models require that we establish if these mathematical models can be derived using the conservation and balance laws of continuum mechanics in conjunction with the corresponding kinematic assumptions. Model problem studies are presented for small deformation behavior of linear elastic plates in the absence of thermal effects and the results are compared with CPT and FSDT mathematical models.

文摘The modern transportation system is increasingly developed during recent years. It is an effective solution to set the noise barriers to reduce the traffic noise pollution caused by different kinds of transportation systems. Many deficiencies on concrete noise barriers and metal noise barriers with rivet structure can be eliminated by a new kind of noise barrier with no-riveted structure. The mechanical performance examination and acoustic performance test are conducted on the new-designed noise barrier with no-riveted structure. The results indicate that the maximum stress is 1.74 MPa and the maximum deformation is 1.04 mm with load acting on the unit plate. The noise reduction coefficient of this kind of no-riveted noise barrier unit plate is 0.75 and its noise insulation is 40 dB,which were conform to or superior to the standard requirements. Therefore, this new designed noise barrier meets the field application requirements of mechanical and acoustic performance, which demonstrates the noise barriers can be widely promoted.

文摘Poplar Laminated Veneer Lumber(Poplar LVL)is a new type of engineering materials with high strength, good reliability and small variability.Poplar LVL is manufactured from the fast-growing poplar, which is widely used in packaging, furniture and others, however,is rarely adopted in construction. In order to explore the feasibility of poplar LVL trusses in construction of roof, four 4.5-m-span Fink-and-Howe trusses were designed and assembled, which were made of poplar LVL with bolted-and tooth-plated connections.Vertical static loading on the upper chord joints of a truss was imposed by self-balancing test device. The mechanical properties of trusses were examined. The ultimate load, deformation character and failure mode of each truss were measured, observed and analyzed.Furthermore, four types of analytical models with different joint connection assumptions were used to estimate the ultimate load and deflection. The results showed that the poplar LVL trusses were basically in elastic stage before the design load was reached, showing good working performance under the action of design load. The bearing capacity of the trusses of bolted connections was greater than that of the tooth-plated connections. As for the same joint connection type, the bearing capacity of Fink trusses exceeded that of Howe trusses. The poplar LVL light trusses of both types of connections showed good structural performance, which could be reasonably used for building roof systems.
