The session setup delay and system throughput are employed as the measurement to investigate the perfo...The modeling of Application Triggering Architecture (ATA) in the IP Multimedia Sub- system (IMS) is presented. The session setup delay and system throughput are employed as the measurement to investigate the performance of ATA and the Serving Call Session Control Punction (S-CSCF). With theoretical analysis and simulation results, we find that, the number of the ASs (Application Servers), the use of the subsequent Filter Criteria (sFC) and the arrival rate have heavy impact on the session setup delay and the S-CSCF is the major bottleneck in IMS network. The results are useful in constructing IMS network. At last, we propose several possible solutions to reduce the session setup delay and decrease the load of the S-CSCF.展开更多
Traditionally,austenitic stainless steels 304 and 316 have been employed in coastal regions as roofing materials unfortunately,they are expensive and not fully resistant to pitting corrosion under severe coastal corro...Traditionally,austenitic stainless steels 304 and 316 have been employed in coastal regions as roofing materials unfortunately,they are expensive and not fully resistant to pitting corrosion under severe coastal corrosive environment.A ferritic stainless steel B445R was developed.Compared with austenitic 316L,B445R is①less costly;②uperior corrosion resistant with minor maintenance for long-term service;③insusceptible to thermal distortion in the welding seam. B445R sheet shows a higher yield strength and lower tensile strength,lower elongation and lower work-hardening than austenitic 316L.It can be easily fabricated and deformed just like plain carbon steel.After bending 180o,there is no occurrence of 'cracking' or noticeable 'orange peel'.The formability of the welding seam is also satisfactory.The pitting potential of B445R is 650 mV,larger than that of 304 and 316L,as shown in Fig.1. The corrosion rate of B445R submerged in 6%FeCl,solution is 0.3 -0.56 g/(m^2 ? h^(-1)),much lower than that of 316L,as shown in Fig.2.The superior pitting corrosion resistance of B445R can be ascribed to synergetic effect of higher Cr and Mo. Dull-finished B445R sheets have been employed as the roofing materials for Guangzhou Asian Games Arena,as shown in Fig.3.About 380 t of 1.0 mm B445R with dull finish was used for roofing panels.About 100 t of 0.8 mm B445R with hairline or fluororesin paint finish was used for side wall panels.The composite roof build-up (from up to bottom) includes:①shingles of ferritic stainless steel B445R;②Kalzip-type standing seam of austenitic 304;③water-proof DFM;④structural steel;⑤75 mm thick insulation;⑥secondary purlin of 150 mm×100 mm×4.5 mm of galvanizied Q235;⑦0.8 mm thick profile deck of galvanizied Q235;⑧acoustic insulation.The roofing shingles or panels with the same width but different length were formed by bending four sides and fixed to a 'L' shape reinforcing frames of stainless steel by fasteners.The 'L' frames was connected to ribs of the standing seam by a clamping fixture made of aluminum.展开更多

First this paper discusses the main research contents of enterprise integration. Then the author introduces an Internet-based configurable and open information integration framework, and presents a multi-tier integration architecture based on reusable component. This paper proposes a practical and framework-based approach to design an architecture transformation strategy and roadmap aiming to transform or modernize critical legacy enterprise systems.The approach is business v...This paper proposes a practical and framework-based approach to design an architecture transformation strategy and roadmap aiming to transform or modernize critical legacy enterprise systems.The approach is business value driven with IT supportability in terms of lower application operational and support costs,higher business value and shorter time to market of application delivery.The approach introduces a robust enterprise application architecture assessment framework with an emphasis on technical(internal)and strategic(external)perspectives to guide the application assessment and also a finance selfsupport transformation strategy to aid its transformation roadmap design.The approach was applied in multiple large enterprises successfully and received endorsements and positive feedback from the sponsors.The paper also presents a case study detailing the successful application of the approach to modernize an enterprise logistics transportation management system.展开更多

Knitted composites exhibit great design flexibility by allowing the customization of shapes, textures, and material properties. These features facilitate the optimization of buildings’ material systems and the creation of buildings with light weight and high material efficiency.To achieve such a lightweight, material-efficient building structure with knitted composites, this research investigates the material properties of knitted composites and proposes a design process for building-scale knitted composite systems. In the material study, this research examines certain mechanical properties of the material and the effects of additional design elements. In the design exploration, this research explores the design workflow of the structural form, element arrangement, and knit distribution of the material system at the macro-, meso-, and microscales. The project of MeiTing serves as proof of the concept and the design workflow.展开更多
