Theoretical and Experimental Sets of Choice Anode/Cathode Architectonics for High-Performance Full-Scale LIB Built-up Models

To control the power hierarchy design of lithium-ion battery(LIB)builtup sets for electric vehicles(EVs),we offer intensive theoretical and experimental sets of choice anode/cathode architectonics that can be modulated in full-scale LIB built-up models.As primary structural tectonics,heterogeneous composite superstructures of full-cell-LIB(anode//cathode)electrodes were designed in closely packed flower agave rosettes TiO2@C(FRTO@C anode)and vertical-star-tower LiFePO4@C(VST@C cathode)building blocks to regulate the electron/ion movement in the three-dimensional axes and orientation pathways.The superpower hierarchy surfaces and multi-directional orientation components may create isosurface potential electrodes with mobile electron movements,in-to-out interplay electron dominances,and electron/charge cloud distributions.This study is the first to evaluate the hotkeys of choice anode/cathode architectonics to assemble different LIB-electrode platforms with high-mobility electron/ion flows and high-performance capacity functionalities.Density functional theory calculation revealed that the FRTO@C anode and VST-(i)@C cathode architectonics are a superior choice for the configuration of full-scale LIB built-up models.The integrated FRTO@C//VST-(i)@C full-scale LIB retains a huge discharge capacity(~94.2%),an average Coulombic efficiency of 99.85%after 2000 cycles at 1 C,and a high energy density of 127 Wh kg?1,thereby satisfying scale-up commercial EV requirements.

Tectonics and architectonic quality in recently published Finnish log architecture:Corresponding architects’perceptions

Due to the global increase in wood construction,it is crucial for architects to understand wood.In Finland,log building,a special subset of industrially manufactured massive timber construction materials is experiencing a renaissance.Cultural aspects combined with newer technical developments make log a complex material from the viewpoint of architectonic expression.To inform practicing architects,the aim of this study is to explore how the tectonics of logs contribute to the architectonic quality of log architecture.Semistructured interviews among architects of twelve recently published log buildings are conducted.The results describe how architectonic quality is perceived among participants,and features of logs related to tectonics that they consider to be of importance in terms of architectonic quality.These features include the statics of log construction and log’s nature as a simultaneously insulating,load-bearing and visual material.Differences between industrial and hand-hewn logs,as well as other architectural aspects of using logs in contemporary architecture are discussed.Especially the“non-settling”log was perceived to have manifold implications for the architectonic possibilities of log architecture.The results are of practical importance to designing architects and the log industry.Theoretical implications include tangible information on architectonic quality and tectonics of log building.

Emerging Phenomenological and Biological Principles of Consciousness: Top Insights of Prevailing Models, Concepts, and Observations

We are all aware that our experience is structured into left and right, up and down, and we can understand from our own experience that consciousness is unified into a singular whole. Although we can understand such basic phenomenological axioms of experience, there are many more principles that we cannot elucidate from our natural perspective alone. In this article, we review potential principles of consciousness revealed by prominent consciousness models, theories, and experimental observations such as the Default Space?Theory, Operational Architectonics Theory, and Integrated Information Theory,?which reveal biological and phenomenological foundations upon which consciousness is formed and maintained. The fundamental concepts we explore and consider worthy have largely emerged from commonalties shared by the various models which have gained attention. The concepts we review include the unity of consciousness, bioelectric operations as the substrate of consciousness, the emergence of a virtual 3D matrix, and the top-down dominance of perception.

Marginal Architecture[How Will We Live Together?]-A Process under Construction

The organization of territory and cities is a structuring element for the management of epidemic crises.The existence of basic sanitary structures is,nowadays,an acquired and determined factor for the healthiness of territories,as well as for the structural contribution to the well-being of the populations.Since the 19th century epidemic crises established health parameters for Architecture and Urbanism,which are still a reference today.Almost after one hundred years,where the questions of salubrity were supposed to be consolidated,we find that,suddenly,without advice,new alarm bells ring:we found that the world was not prepared to be closed in its“housing units”.Assuming Portimão as an urban laboratory and as a waterfront city,we will present the studies that were developed by students in workshops context,searching for contemporary solutions,considering nowadays ecological and Architectural concerns,having in mind concepts of sustainability,reuse and recycling.

Otherness, Intercorporeity and Dialogism in Bakhtin's Vision of the Text

In Bakhtin, dialogism and intercorporeity are closely interconnected by a relation of reciprocal implication: there cannot be dialogue among disembodied minds, nor can dialogism be understood separately from a biosemiotic conception of the sign. Bakhtin's monograph on Rabelais forms an organic part of his writings, including those produced by his collaborators and friends Voloshinov and Medvedev. According to Bakhtin, dialogue concerns literature and life. He evidences the ideological character of the contemporary conception of the individual body described as separate from other bodies and self-sufficient. And, in fact, through his readings of Rabelais' s works he evidences the validity of the carnival vision of the grotesque body.
